Very disappointed in the service, or lack there of from the technician For our Samsung washing machine. We claimed he could not perform or get the unit into diagnostics mode because the board had an issue. I need to buy a new board first then he would diagnose the issues. When I told him the method it said online, he said he tried every thing. he Never did a diagnosis of the issue yet we still paid the diagnostic fee!! I came home and IMMEDIATELY put the washer into diagnostic mode to show a DC3 error for door latch! I will definitely NOT be recommending or using Sear's service again. read more

"I was very very very disappointed initially. My appointment had been rescheduled numerous times. The AI , which is junk and a net detractor, would not allow me to talk to anyone regarding scheduling the next appointment. Iwas a hostage to the next AI generated appointment. I was close to canceling the call and just buying a non-Sears brand refrigerator as the customer service is below unacceptable. When James arrived he checked the supporting system to ensure the cooling components had nit been damaged due to the rescheduled appointment times. He was very efficient and quickly installed the part and stayed a moment to ensure the parts were working well within the system. I was impressed. However SEARS and its lack of support made me angry. An AI system had dropped my call and not reassigned my service appointment several times in this process. It also told me it was pro-rating 30 dollars from the last payment and it did not! This was when I knew not only would I not use this service or SEARS related products, I would also be cutting up the card I carried with the company. Do not use this company. This is the worst service I have ever had. First on their site they say the average repair is $220 for a refrigerator, but can vary due to what is needing to be repaired. My repair should have been the $220 variety. The second tech who came out said he didn't have a charge for anything less than $350. I had a condenser fan that needed to be replaced. They ordered it from Amazon so it was not an OEM part, but a cheap replacement. So, I looked up what Amazon charged for it. It was $26.33 and Sears charged me $197.26, 7.5 times their cost. Then the first tech spent 1 hour diagnosing the problem and the 2nd tech installed the part in 45 minutes which consisted of moving the refrigerator taking out 4 screws on the back panel of the refrigerator and 4 screws that hold the fan motor on the support bracket and I was charged $426.02 in labor. That is $243.44 per hour. And once it has been paid there is no one to talk to except AI so you are stuck being shafted by a company that will not talk to you. Also, the second tech was supposed to come back on Friday to install the fan motor at a time between 7-9 a.m. then it changed to 11-1 p.m. Then around 12:30 I checked to see when he would be here and it said I had canceled the appointment which I had not. I go back on their site and it says they have appointments available for that same day so I made one. It continued to be postponed until their quitting time of 5 p.m. I waited a whole day waiting for them to show up and for $623.28 I should have gotten gold star service. read more

I scheduled a service for my refrigerator and was told the technician would be there on Sunday 13-July-26 at 8am. On Sunday I received a call saying the technician was one stop away that continued all day Sunday. Monday, 14-July-26, I was given sever updates saying the technician would be there after one stop that started at approximately 11am. The at 5:03pm I was promised that the tech was one stop away and would definitely be there at 5:17pm. At, 5:30pm, I was then told again the tech was one stop ways and would be to my home between 5:17pm and 7:17pm. So now it's 4:40pm and still no one showed the the bot asks me if I would like to reschedule because there is no update on the technicians arrival. Please don't use this service, they may have good technicians but their customer service is the worst. We called about a loud screeching noise during the wash cycle on our washer. The washer sounded like it was having a hard time running the agitator. The problem was not addressed at all. We ran a medium load on our washer after the technician left and the agitator does not spin at all during the wash cycle. ZERO STARS, Yep, that's right. It's official! Sears Home Service (Master Plan) is the worst appliance warranty service affiliated with a major corporation/brand. SEARS, your name is now synonymous with TRASH and you did it to yourself due to a few reasons; (1) The lack of reliability with your appointment scheduling and keeping the appointment. (2) Making it almost impossible to speak to a liver person when needing assistance. Then, exclusively using offshore resources to staff your customer helpline when you finally do get through the maze of "select 1, 2, or 3". Another US corporation being cheap at the customer's expense, and... (3) Leveraging unskilled and unreliable third party repair contractors. As the attached photos show, you've rescheduled two appointments within 3 days to repair my dishwasher over the holidays when a dishwasher is needed most after hosting family dinners. When I called the helpline, I finally realized on the 3rd call to select the option for general questions and not to acknowledge that I had an appointment scheduled, or I would never be able to speak to a human. We'll see if the repairman shows up today prepared and actually fixes my dishwasher. I now have PTSD and low expectations. During the previous contract I had with Sears on my refrigerator, you sent multiple repairman who never fully addressed the issue, so my refrigerator remained partly inoperable for 6 months after five or six repair visits from inept technicians. Eventually I had to threaten legal action to have you replace my appliance; a promised perk when pitching your home warranty services. Supposedly, if an appliance is deemed unrepairable, and brand new replacement appliance is ordered for the customer. A year later and my replacement fridge is now showing signs of failure, i.e. freezing foods that are placed in the back of the shelves. Now I'm reading all the bad reviews, I see how your tactic of distraction is to upload a template response in the comments with your Sears phone number that takes us back through the maze of automated button pushing and we won't easily be connected with anyone live. Seeking an explanation for my appointment today being rescheduled, I called and was told after several long holds that I should not respond to the text I received to reschedule my appointment today, and that a technician will be showing up as originally planned. The customer service rep chalked this up as being caused by a bug in their system. Had I rescheduled like I did for the first service visit two days ago, I would be stuck with another service date pushed out further due to your own technical issue. Totally unacceptable, and I will be canceling my service right after I get my dishwasher fixed. This review is not a total reflection on the two technicians that I dealt with and completed my service but the service as a whole. I can NOT recommend this service to my worst enemy. Customer service does not exist. No matter what number you call, you will end up speaking with their AI representative who will provide you with incomplete information and advise you that they do not have live representatives. No matter how many times you say "representative ". The website also does not provide accurate information regarding your service request and provides limited details. Our fridge went out on 11/29, they were assigned and provided an appt of 12/2. The tech diagnosed and advised the part had to be ordered and would come directly to our home. But the next opening for an appointment was not until the following week on 12/9. A week later! The part arrived on 12/5, I called and rescheduled for an opening on 12/8. I was rescheduled from 12/8 to 12/9 because the part had not come in?? Called them back and advised I had the part and rescheduled for 12/9 and had the ticket escalated. 12/9 they still showed the part as ordered and allegedly opened a ticket to get the ticket updated to part received. Rescheduled us again! There was a lot of yelling on my part in between because it shouldn't take 24hrs to update a ticket. A tech finally arrived today and completed the service but was very adamant that you have to ask for a rep when calling when I advised that wasn't possible he insisted it was and didn't provide a number to call. The customer service is terrible!!! I cannot reach the technician who came out by phone or via text. I have tried every number I found online, but I cannot reach a live person to help me. The technician came out and he could hear the noise that was loud and not normal for the machine he said there was no diagnostic error on the screen so there was nothing he could do. Three weeks later the machine no longer works. The temperature adjustment knob was all afloat ant it was impossible to set the temperature. While the technician had never worked on this model before, he was experienced enough to know how to easily disassemble and reassemble the control panel without having to replace any parts. He was in and out fast, not because he was in a hurry, but because he was methodical and efficient. Top it all off with personal qualities like courteous and friendly, and you get 5 star service. I wanted to get my washer repaired. I was told by the technician that the parts were not available, in other words he could not get or even order the parts, on a 2 YEAR OLD MAYTAG WASHER btw, and therefore was not able to make the repair. The technician signed for me, as I refused to sign, that I declined the repair, WHICH IS NOT TRUE, and would not leave my home until I paid the $119.00 service fee. He then told me if I wanted to request a refund I could through the Sears Home Service website. There is NO WAY TO REQUEST A REFUND OR SPEAK WITH A LIVE HUMAN BEING on the website. I tried emailing, chatting (AI BOT ONLY) and called 3 different phone numbers. Sears inability to handle my particular situation is borderline corrupt. Our home warranty company, Choice, hired them to repair our refrigerator, and the experience has been nothing but frustrating. The first repair technician came out and ordered a part. A week later, a second technician arrived and ended up breaking our refrigerator. The ice and water dispenser, which were working before, stopped functioning after he made his repairs. He ordered another part and left without mentioning that the ice and water no longer worked. I discovered the issue when I tried to get a drink. I called and texted him (the read receipt showed he saw the message), but I got no response. When I called the company, they said he'd return that afternoon or the next day. It's now four days later, and still no technician. After another call, they told me they wouldn't be back until 10/21--another week from now--to fix the problem they created! There's no supervisor to speak to, and our initial issue remains unresolved. We're now on day 23 without a properly working refrigerator. This tech was barely in my apartment 10 min. He told me my 5 year old dryer needed to be replaced because the switch that turned it on was bad and that it had been discontinued. I asked if the service call could be applied to a new dryer from Sears. He told me to go to Lowe's or Home Depot. When he left I googled and found the part. Even after I told him I don't feel safe using it, because water is coming out the hole.
