Sears has been horrible to deal with. From lack of communication, to unreliable techs, to missed appointments, to a horrible AI scheduling assistant, this experience has been so stressful. I am going on week 2 for what was supposed to be a simple Refrigerator repair. Each time I Call I can never speak with a live person. The AI scheduling assistance has no capacity to handle complex issues yet there is no one to escalate to. I am using them through my home warranty company and will be sure to ask that they never use this company for my appliance repairs again. read more

Very disappointed in Sears. I bought my washer and dryer from Sears about 5 years ago. I carefully researched my options and went with Kenmore selection at Sears. Recently, the dryer started to display this code on the dryer so I called for a service. The technician came out, diagnosed the problem was it needed a "reset". He "reset" the dryer with this computer equipment he had. Everything seemed fine, no code display on the screen. I used the dryer maybe once or twice and everything looked great. Then I used it again, same issue comes up with this code on the screen. I called the service department again and the representative said since it's been 38 days they can not "re-send" the service so I would have to pay again - "it's policy". I feel like I just gave Sears $119 for doing absolutely nothing but take my money. read more

I never contacted Sears Appliance Repair, they were provided through Choice Home Warranty. I was told by the technician that my ac/ would take two hours to cool, this was after he said that he put a sealant to stop a leak and some refrigerant. This is a total scam, nothing is further from the truth. I will be filing with that States consumer fraud division. read more

This was my fourth technician and my ice maker is finally fixed. He knew what he was doing and even brought in a steamer to help melt the ice. This has taken up a lot of my time, but they finally sent me the right techs to get it done! All techs are not created equal. I do need to mention the tech before this one came out and ordered the replacement part so I'm grateful for him. The first two techs never showed up to the appt. Never mind. It's done now. The technician arrived on time. He fixed the item in question. Parts arrived quickly. It was easy to schedule and reschedule appointments with Sears Home Services. The technician wore booties and was very courteous explained what he was doing when I asked and explained what needs to be fixed before he ordered parts. My initial issue is that my ice maker wasn't making ice because apparently it's a common issue for the Samsung refrigerator I have. Once that was fixed ice was being made however water was leaking from the component I was advised it may be the ice chute not closing properly due to wear and tear. That item was fixed today hoping this works. I would like to call Sears to speak to someone I would love it if speaking to someone becomes an option. Although I said scheduling and rescheduling was easy there were a few times I had questions that were not answered by FAQ and the automated service. read more

I requested service for a leaky ice maker and to change a filter. The technician was new/in training. He called someone every few minutes to see if he was doing something correctly. Then he pulls the ice maker holder out. Looks at it. When I told him he looked like he didn't know what he was doing is when he said he was in training. Ok, fine, but when you tell your lead tech that I need to replace my whole ice maker without actually knowing what the problem actually is ridiculous and costly to the homeowner. This is based I guess on his first call to someone. They didn't know what the problem was and I did not hear him give them any symptoms. Then I told him I think I have filters in the garage. He didn't ask if I had any replacement filters. He just told me he would need to order a filter. He was terrible and I admit to being very annoyed and frustrated. Plus, he's putting his dirty hands in my refrigerator without gloves, wiping his face and hands without hand protection. You walk in from the street and don't wash your hands and are messing around with people's food. The whole experience for me was disgusting , frustrating and annoying. To say nothing of the fact that this person is diagnosing things without knowing what's actually wrong. That amounts to $$$ for me when you don't know if it is needed. The question should be whether he would want someone to approach his refrigerator repair the way he did mine? He wouldn't let me explain to his lead tech when he called. I could have told him what the problem was, but based on this experience, I would not dial this repair service in the future. It is also hard to get a person on the phone. You talk to bots and dial this and that. I am sympathetic to anyone in training or going out new, but attitude makes a big difference. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I requested service from AHS home warranty to fix my refrigerator. This company was sent out to repair it. This company visited on 5 occasions each time with a different replacement that never worked. The last person that came out, Dan, took a picture of the other refrigerator I had in my kitchen, which was not the one he worked on. When I confronted him about it and asked him to delete the photo (which captured my underage grandson who was standing in the kitchen at the time), he told me he worked for the warranty company and he had the right to take a picture of my house and report back in case my insurance only covers one refrigerator. I am reporting this to the police, because he refused to delete it, and without my permission he cannot take pictures of my home. Incidentally a picture isn't needed to determine whether my refrigerator was covered because he has the serial number and model number, which can be confirmed. Lastly, his responsibility was to repair and confirm the refrigerator he was sent to fix and relay that information to my warranty company. I have no limit on the appliances that my warranty covers, and that's not his business. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Sears Home Services was an exercise in frustration, incompetence, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I purchased a maintenance contract for my appliances, hoping for peace of mind. Instead, when my refrigerator/freezer stopped making ice in November 2023, it became the beginning of a six-month nightmare. During that time, I endured 10 technician visits, multiple part replacements, and countless hours wasted--only for my appliance to go from bad to unusable. What started as a malfunctioning ice maker ended with a broken freezer and a refrigerator that couldn't keep anything cold. Ultimately, I had to cancel the contract and purchase a new refrigerator myself. To add insult to injury, after canceling, I followed their process to return all leftover parts. And yet, Sears is now accusing me of not returning refrigerant--a claim that is absurd on its face. What would I even do with refrigerant? The cherry on top? They're threatening to report me to credit agencies over a bogus $31.23 charge for this alleged missing part. This is hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Sears Home Services failed to fix the problem, made things worse, and then had the gall to harass me over a charge that is clearly their mistake. If you're considering Sears Home Services, I urge you to save your money and your sanity. Go literally anywhere else. read more

Sears home server is terrible. They continue to change the service schedule and I'm literally been waiting for them to come all day. They don't have a no one to answer questions or contact number for the technician. The operator service bot is trash because they make impossible to get to a live person. They told me between 8:00 am and 4:00pm they sent me arriving time three different ones all day. It's almost taking them the whole day. Technician seemed to be proficient in completing task. He did not wear shoe covers and tracked my house with dirt and water from outdoors. He did not have a ladder and asked for mine. While we were looking for one he stood in my bar stools with dirty shoes. He also left my kitchen a mess with screws on floor. He also didn't communicate progress while fixing. Well they wore us out, the freezer was left in parts on the floor, the repair service making up stories, the Sears Service agreement was 50 minutes on hold, a maze of phone prompts, people you cannot understand, finally told they will send us a check for $30 in a week. We gave up! We went to Lowe's and bought a new freezer so that sears never darkens our door again. All our contracts with them have expired and we don't intend to renew. The Benefits Administration Customer Service is a 2. Demetrius has made over six service calls for my side by side refrigerator. Many parts have been replaced and I asked several time for a replacement, each time was told as long as Sears is able to find parts no luck on replacement. I have been. customer with Sears Master Protection Plan for over 30 years or more always renewed the plan. The plan expired October 22 however service calls were made prior like five times we still have the same problem. Long time customer totally disappointed in Sears. While the repairman himself seemed VERY knowledgeable and professionally friendly, I am livid about having to wait more than a week for an appointment in this 80 degree (and More) temperature. We pay to much money monthly to Sears Home Warranty to have to wait so long for service. We could have called a repair service company ourselves and rcvd a quicker response.
