Technician said it was the last call of the day (at 11:30 am) Said it was a sensor that needed replacement without doing a thorough check of the machine. He quoted $600 to replace the sensor and we declined. After he left we took the a cap off in the washer drum and could see that a pair of underwear was blocking the drain. We cleared the drain and the washer works just fine. Technician did not check all possible causes, misdiagnosed the problem, tried to sell a fix that would not have worked, and seemed to be in a rush to go home. Worst service I have ever had. Mike was hard working and pleasant. He did a wonderful job we will request him the next time we use Sears. Our front loader washer was leaking from the door very badly, he had to take the entire washer apart to fix it. Coming up with 85 words is too excessive., if you want people to post you should narrow this down..alot. if I didn't think he was so wonderful at his job I don't think I would have written this review because it's taking up too much of my time. First off, David left his garbage for me to dispose of. Next, the cost to repair the dryer was unreasonable (the cost of the part seemed fair). However, the 30 day guarantee on David's work was very displeasing. I know nothing will come from this review but maybe a buyer beware will take a second look and think before you buy!!!! read more

They came out to fix my dryer. The repair went quick the service technician had the right part with him and didn't need to return for a second visit. The service technician was friendly and professional but he was 30 mins late and we never received a call from the company or him. read more

Can I give zero stars? Horrendous. Terrible. Technician destroyed my refrigerator while trying to install a replacement compressor that was under warranty. Seriously. Literally. Destroyed it. He fried something that made it impossible to fix. He admitted to it and apologized. Said his company would make good on it. We lost over $400 worth of food and had to buy a new $3000 appliance comparable to the one we had. Their underwriters made lots of promises but delivered nothing. You can't call Sears to complain. They have set up a phone system that does nothing but reroute calls to dead numbers or back to the same number you called. Clearly this is a strategy to get rid of their current warranty obligations. I knew that at a minimum I would be charged for the service fee but I expected to be provided a chance to say yes or no to repair. When the repairman tilted my washer back a bolt rolled out which he picked up and screwed back on. I guess I didn't look at that as a repair but in any case I was not asked if I wanted the work done and $192 later, feel very foolish. The repairman was nice but also talked about the customers charged the same amount for issues such as "plugging it in" or "turning the water". As shown on the attached screenshot their website states clearly, "When you choose Sears Home Services, you can expect that your technician will always diagnose your problem and provide you with an estimate up front. You can then decide at that point whether to go forward with the repairt (sic)." I also didn't appreciate being forced to speak with a representative to be solicited for a maintenance plan. read more

Home warranty setup repairs for my fridge and dishwasher as both had issues at the same time. The initial appointment was set in September, here we are day before Thanksgiving repairs and service call canceled (this has been the trend since September). I do not have a working dishwasher, fridge not repaired still to this day! I would NOT recommend Sears repair, it would have been less hassle and cost efficient to purchase new appliances in leu dealing with this repair service. Request to speak to manager was denied by agent on the phone to complain about constant rescheduling of service, then they push other services. I was tired of saying no each every time I had to reschedule their cancellation which was a lot.. NEVER EVER again will this company be called in my household for anything. Horrid experience as I'm still dealing with appliances that are not working months later. Beyond Disappointing, beyond horrible. read more
