I requested a service call to learn the reason for the loud noise coming from the dryer when in use. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The appointment window time was adjusted twice, later than the original time frame of 9-12 then, 2-4 to 3-5.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The technician arrived at 2pm, thankfully, and was able to determine the cause of the problem. He did not have the part on hand, which would need to be ordered. The repair would have to be scheduled for a different day, meaning another day off work and the estimate for parts and labor was more than the cost of a new dryer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The technician was somewhat pushy regarding the payment, which was completed with a link sent to my email.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to turn on my laptop to get to the email to get to the link.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So, I paid the service call fee to learn the cause of the noise. Had the issue resolved in a more economic and time friendly manner. read more

On May 14, 2025 I scheduled an appointment with Sears Home Services to repair/ replace the lower icemaker on my Samsung refrigerator for May 22, 2025 between 8 am and 12 noon despite their claims that they have same day or next day service. I received texts daily that they would come on May 22 and a technician would call that morning with a time. I never received a call and at 11:19 am the morning of the appointment I received a message from Sears Home Service that they would not be coming and offered to reschedule for more than a week later. This was totally unacceptable and a waste of my time. I didn't want to give them even 1 star but you have to in order to post a review. When you call their number it is automated with voice message only and you cannot talk to a person. read more

I had a service call scheduled for June 7th for a dryer issue. The appointment was rescheduled "due to unforeseen circumstances" for June 16th (yesterday). The same issue happened yesterday and now my appointment is rescheduled for July 5th. I am now without a dryer for a month. This shouldn't happen on an appliance that is 6 months old and still under warranty. I need a resolution and a sooner appointment. Once he did show up the original repairman misdiagnosed the problem and estimate doubled in cost. 10/18/24 jaekwon r tells us the fridge is damaged from when it was installed and needed to be replaced. He states fridgidair will call us to set up replacement. Two weeks goes by and nothing so I called and apparently jaekwon told them I refused the repair. 11/4 new appt and they cancel at 3 pm 11/13 new appt with jaekwon r, he calls me at 11:41 am and says he will be there in 15 minutes. I called at 230 bc he's still not here and they say he's running behind and will call me. While we are speaking about the tardiness I receive an email with a receipt from jaekwon r stating I refused repair and he forged my initials. read more

I am really upset with this Company. My Washer is broken and i requested an Appointment with Sears Home Service. I got one call with an actual Person that asked me to describe the Problem and we agreed to a Date. They told me (and sended me about 10 Emails and Text messages) that the Technician will arrive between 8 AM and 5 PM. We agreed to pay about 140 $ just for the Technician to show up. Luckily we did not gave any Creditcardinformation upfront. My husband took a Day off from Work to be available for them. Around 4.30 PM we got an Email, with an "accepted" Service Estimate of 420 $. Nobody ever showed up and we where not able to get someone on the Phone. We tried it again on the next day but again only AI available on every Phoneline that we tried. No one ever reached out and apologized or tried to reschedule. Instead we got about another 10 Text messages with some very sketchy AI to reschedule. We are all Humans and Life happens. But your Customers should be valued enough to at least acknowledge that your company put too much on the Schedule of your technicians and have the decency to give us a call to either reschedule or explain why you wasted our time. Our refrigerator at work went out. Not cooling at all. Since we bought it at Sears I thought it would be most beneficial to call them to service it. First day appointment estimate was between 8am and 5pm. At 2pm I went to check on the estimated time of arrival and it said after 7pm. I had notated that this was a business and our hours were 9 - 4:30. I messaged with someone in the service department and decided it would be best to reschedule for the following day. Next thing I know, at 1:03pm, we got a picture of the front of our building, which is always unlocked, and a note that nobody was "home".
