I was outside at my truck on Monday, just days…read moreafter hurricane Helene hit our area, trying to help my husband's mom figure out how to get a generator home because the one she bought wouldn't fit in my truck with all the animal feed, groceries, fuel and other things we had picked up that day. The employee that brought the generator out said immediately that there was no way it was going to fit and another employee named Melissa basically wanted to force it and had it put on my tailgate anyway. Mind you I offered to come back and get it before they closed that day but that wasn't good enough for Melissa and she started being rude and talking crap to me and then walked away and went inside the store, leaving the generator hanging off my tailgate. I then began asking my mother-in-law what she wanted to do because it wasn't going to fit. Melissa then comes back out of the store screaming and yelling at me because in her opinion I wasn't treating my mother-in-law right (I guess because I wouldn't force this generator in my trunk), when I was only asking her what she wanted to do, I was not cussing, yelling or anything. Melissa continued to yell at me for several minutes before my teenage, autistic son couldn't handle anymore and he yelled "shut up". The Manager David came out the door with a gun on his hip, yelling, threatening and walking quickly towards my son. I stepped in front of my son and told the manager that "that's not going to happen because my son is a teenager and autistic". The manager continued and stated "you look grown enough". Law enforcement was called and informed me that the manager lied and stated all this occurred inside the store. I again tried to talk to my mother-in-law to find out what she wanted to do and again David "the manager" became aggressive, this time with me. He starts saying "what you gonna do, what you gonna do" still with a gun on his hip. I mean, who does that? A grown man with a gun, working as a manager, feeling the need to threaten and intimidate an autistic teenager and a 115 lb woman. In my honest opinion these two individuals should be fired. This is the worst experience I've ever had anywhere.

Once I got inside I realized that it's basically a small Walmart. The only thing missing is the automotive department. Of course they don't have the same selection as a larger store like home Depot or Lowe's, but I quickly noticed that pretty much everything I needed for my small projects could be found here. After perusing the aisles for a while, I realized that I probably won't need to go to Walmart nearly as much. The staff is super friendly and the prices are on the low side. The gentleman in the lawn and garden section was very patient when educating me on garden plants. I highly recommend checking out Houston hardware and garden center before heading to one of the superstores in Warner robins. They probably have what you need here for cheaper.
