What everybody here says about Sears is TRUE. They are amazing: smart pharmacists and technicians who care about their customers. They care about our health, our wealth (or lack thereof), and our schedules. Granted, this is after only one visit...... I needed a new pharmacy and went there based on my Dr's suggestion and Yelp reviews. I was a new customer so they needed insurance, ID for my meds etc. Then, the most miraculous thing happened...at the part where they usually ask "When do you want to come back for this," or "Are you going to wait for this?," the guy said, "Okay, it will just be a few minutes for your prescription." ...and it was! I used big chain stores for most of my adult life until I heard about the incredible service people were receiving from Sear's Pharmacy. Every time I've gone in, the process has been incredibly fast and friendly. The prices are somehow cheaper and the employees are willing to go the extra mile for you. Your prescription ran out? Sear's will call the doctor. Sear's doesn't have the specialty medication you need? Sear's will track it down for you. Not sure if insurance will cover the medication? Sear's will call and figure it out for you. I never received this kind of help and guidance in any other pharmacy. They have shorter hours than most of the big chain stores, but trust me...you will not regret for one second switching to Sear's Pharmacy. They are truly the best. Thank you, Sear's! read more

We switched to Sears Pharmacy a few months ago for my son's prescription. After calling 13 Walgreens, none of them had his medication in stock and they told me it would be 5 days to get it in. Not a great thing when you have two pills left. I called Sears and not only did they place an order for me that night, to have it there by 10am, but I didn't need to rush around and bring them the prescription first, they let me bring it in when I picked it up. Since that day, we have used Sears for all of our prescriptions and we won't go anywhere else. As a local business owner, I love supporting other small businesses. It's nice that my husband went to high school with one of the pharmacists. I love the "home town" feel. read more

This is one small business worth supporting in Oak Park. Personal service, little to no wait time for meds to be filled, old fashioned store personality, caring employees, and you can even arrange for delivery service. You won't find better service anywhere else. Highly recommend. read more

Love this place. This is an old school, small-town style pharmacy. Beautiful, clean new shop, easy parking and tootsie roll pops on the counter! I love the quips they post on the windows. No they will not fall down on their knees when you walk in, but simply get you what you need and get you on your way in minutes. They will always look to save you money on a prescription and offer the option to deliver to your house, a godsend with a sick child. I do not believe I have ever waited longer than 5 minutes curb to curb for a prescription--this would mean that there were a couple of folks ahead of me in line. I agree with the reviewer who asked why are you still going to CVS or Wallgreens? Really, why? read more

As a loyal Sears customer for the past year, it saddens me to have to write this negative review. It was made clear to me today that the price of the drug I asked them to fill for me and their potential loss if I did not stay on the drug was worth more to them than my business. To explain, this amount was approximately $600. The owner called me to let me know the drug was "A THOUSAND DOLLARS" (as if I had an understanding of what they pay for the drugs, etc) and then inappropriately asked me, "Are you going to stay on this?! If not, we're out like six hundred odd dollars...". Inappropriate, rude, patronizing and belittling. I'm floored. read more

I love this pharmacy. At first I was hesitant because their hours were limiting for me because I work downtown and long hours. But, THEY DELIVER. Seriously, they are nice, accommodating and they are set up to drop off my prescriptions at my house. It is such a relief and time saver. They are a local business. I was a customer at another pharmacy nearby, that closed without very much notice. I need my prescriptions sent out to me, and this is most easily done with an independent pharmacy. I remembered passing Sears, so I called and asked if they sent prescriptions out. They said that they did so, I transferred 7 or 8 RX's here that needed to be filled ever month. for a couple of years, things were perfect. No problems to speak of. I was very happy. But when a problem did arise, things changed. I had need for antibiotics for a bad infection. I called them for a refill and told them that I needed the prescription no later than a couple of days. I trusted they would follow through. In the past, they would send things by priority mail but this time, they sent it by ground. It took about 6 days to finally show up. When I called them two days later in a panic, they were very unconcerned about my situation. I said, since you didn't send the package quickly (as they knew it had to be sent) can you get someone to drop a duplicate supply off at my home. After much back and forth, they said that they would do that. Later that day an elderly gentlemen showed up with my prescription, and I tipped him $5.00. A few weeks later, when I received my bill from them, I found that they added $20.00 to the total that I owed them, for having the prescription dropped off. Never did they mention a charge for this, and since it was their fault, I shouldn't have had to absorb that charge but, I paid it anyway -- wanting to continue with my good relationship with this pharmacy. But, it was wrong. Fast forward about 8 months later. I had surgery and required a drug to be taken every day because my thyroid was removed. I was cautioned that I had to take this every day for the rest of my life or, there could be consequences. I had the RX filled on the way back from the hospital (at another pharmacy) but I wanted it transferred to Sears with all of my other prescriptions. So, I called and asked them to transfer and fill the prescription, with my others. Then, the others arrived, but not the one for my now missing thyroid. I had one pill left and I was in a panic. When I called, they didn't even apologize for not sending it. I said that I really needed this and could they have someone bring it to me as they did before, but that I didn't feel it was fair that I had to pay $20.00 the last time, nor would it be right this time, as it was their mistake. An employee tried to be of help but, he had to go back and forth to talk with the owner. I tried to impress upon him how important it was that I have the medication for the next day (when I would have none) and finally, I just asked to speak with the owner. He came to the phone and he had a very rude tone in his voice. I went over everything with him and he said to me "I don't have time for this." and with that he rudely slammed the phone down -- leaving me with no recourse. This, after getting about $800.00 in prescriptions filled there every month, for at least three years or more. Their friendly neighborhood attitude evaporated when the owner got involved. He would not take any responsibility for the errors that were made, nor did he attempt to do anything to help me get the medication that I so desperately needed. He works in this field. Surely he knew what I would mean to miss several doses of synthroid without a thyroid, waiting for them to send the package by mail. He didn't care at all about my well being. If they don't drop the ball and make a mistake (two big mistakes in my case) maybe you will do okay here but, there will be hell to pay if there are problems. Be ready for the once kindly pharmacist/owner to treat you like dirt, when he doesn't have time to correct the mistakes made. Since I cannot drive following surgery, he left me in an awful lurch. I have never been treated that rudely in my life by another business -- let alone one where your health and well being are concerned. I give this business one star but in truth, they deserve no stars. read more
