Seaside Boatyard did an incredible job on my boat. I just completed a haul out and bottom paint. They also replace a damaged seacock under the galley kitchen sink. Robert, Brian and Jack the owners of the boatyard are extremely professional and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and walked and inspected the boat several times while the boat was on the hard. There prices were reasonable and fair and the workmanship was quality. They made some suggestions about additional repairs, but never made a hard sell that made us feel uncomfortable. The crew that hauled out the boat and splashed it at the end of the week were meticulous and careful at each step to ensure nothing got damaged. The facilities are clean and organize and the office staff was helpful. I felt like I was taking my boat to a high end car dealership. I will definitely be going back for any future boatyard work. I am very glad I chose to take my boat here. I understand that they are new owners for about year. I'm not sure about the previous owners and crew, but this team is the best. read more

This time i had a Mast unstepped and stepped. The hoist operator handled it with care following instructions given by the Rigger. I would have given five stars if the cost of keeping the Mast In the Boatyard was not as high ($35 per day). Total cost was $700 just for storage. However they did give me credit for four days since it was during the holiday season. Joe, the Manager is always very helpful and accommodating as much as possible. A great shipyard with great staff. I have used this facility a number of times and they never disappoInt. Communication on is key and they keep me updated regularly. We bought a boat in Santa Barbara that needed some major work done be fore she was seaworthy and insurance could be bound. The yard up there was unresponsive and basically said give us a blank check(only game in town so they thought) so we said bye bye to them. We paid vessel assist to tow us down to the Boat yard Channel Islands. Joe and mike were able to accommodate us 10 days early and were able to give us some pricing over the phone. The whole team was outstanding and pleasant down at the boat yard Channel Islands. Jody and Joe took the time to explain the work they were doing and why it was necessary. I've hauled out many places in the past and this will be my go to spot from now on. I'm willing to make the trip up here from LA harbor with our boat next time we need to haul out. If honesty, integrity, and pride in workmanship is what you are looking for in a shipyard, then The Boat Yard in Oxnard is the place you are looking for. I recently took our 42' Grand Banks to The Boat Yard for some work and upon arrival, I found the site to be top notch--the Yard was clean and organized, and had new travel lifts to take boats out with. I brought my Grand Banks in to have cutlass bearings replaced, blisters on the hull repaired, and new bottom paint applied. All of the work was completed in a timely manner and, most important of all, it was all done RIGHT and was a true testament to the quality and superior workmanship that they do here. In addition, working with The Boat Yard's staff was an absolute pleasure--they were all courteous, incredibly nice, and, above all else, The Yard's staffers knew their jobs and did fantastic work. Also, I cannot say enough about the Yard's manager, Joe Camello. He is a great guy who is extremely knowledgeable and very customer-oriented. It was very refreshing to be told the truth about what work the boat needed done. The whole operation, from top to bottom, is very professional. I recently needed to do the bottom paint on my 29' Lancer sailboat. I did some shopping around to get a competitive price, and "The Boat Yard" in Channel Islands seemed to be the best price. In fact, my slip is in the Ventura harbor - and I sailed down to Channel Islands to save the money. I was in the yard from start to finish, watching how the guys worked on my boat and others. Craig and Mike do a great job running the yard, and the guys that do the work paid attention to detail and were efficient. In the process of doing my bottom paint, I added on installing a transducer, and it turned out my motor mounts and drive shaft were tore up. The Boat Yard did a great job finding the parts and putting them in. At the end of the day, I needed a few days to finish up my personal list of "to-do's" while the boat was out of water, and the yard worked with me trying to save me a little money. Overall the yard is kept clean, the facilities are clean, and I had power and water to do the job. All in all, I'm happy I made the decision to use this yard to work on my boat - and would do it again. Great job guys! read more
