I'm on vacation ordering Thai next door. My bestie says let's get some white wine to go with. Great idea! I have my 12 yo in tow and he's hyper because he just had ice cream next door. He loudly comments that we shouldn't buy wine it's so expensive and to just get a bottle and go - a tween being a tween. This very rude employee comes over and says they cannot sell us wine if he is going to partake in the sale and he needs to leave, I said what?? (We are two mid-40s women buying a bottle of white for dinner.) He isn't buying, I am his mother, I tell them, and what are you talking about. At this point the younger black female employee looks nervous and is looking over at this older white man who appears to be her supervisor for approval and he just nods. So she insists again that my son needs to leave. My son volunteered to step outside and I decided not to give them my business, which in the span of five days would have been plenty of wine for the week-- a damn shame for them since as most moms know, we need our wine for long family vacation weekends! I have never felt such disrespect in tone and delivery-- there was a much better way of handling this. And the young woman employee doing this supervisor's bidding just gave major creepy vibes. Do NOT come here if you value a family friendly vibe...they shouldn't be in this location with this attitude. read more

Avoid this place like the plague if you look remotely young or enjoy browsing at all whatsoever while buying liquor. I came here two summers ago and have been too busy to write about what was literally the MOST UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD AT A LIQUOR STORE. I was 23 and my girlfiend was 21 when we came here. We both look young and we're used to getting carded to this day, no problem. But this went beyond that. This place is like two feet long and from the second we walked in we were stared down by the staff and followed. How can someone follow you across a small store? Well they quite literally trailed us into the back of the store as we browsed their extremely limited selection. Throughout this process, they asked if we needed help I think like two or three times and each time we said we were just deciding what we wanted. My girlfriend has trouble choosing sometimes and likes to try new things, but we got so uncomfortable with the way we were being followed and stared at that we decided to just buy what we selected so far and leave. The guy staring us down most of the time who I assume was the owner was this smug bellhop looking mofo, but when we checked out there was this teenaged kid who was acting like he worked for Homeland Security. My gf and I both had out of state licenses cause we're in a god damn tourist destination. So it's not good enough that they clearly say we're of age, he's going to run our licenses through this TSA machine. Whatever, at this point I'm getting close to cancelling the sale on principle and leaving, but my gf is committed. He runs her license, no problem. He runs mine and for who knows whatever reason it comes out negative. The owner then implies that my license will be confiscated if it doesn't work again, at which point it works and we complete our sale. I would have LOVED to see what happened if they tried to confiscate my perfectly valid ID and then called the police. After this bout of false imprisonment, I swore eventually I'd warn people away from this place, and it seems others have had similar experiences, SO AVOID!!! I've never had an experience like this in a liquor store across dozens of states and several countries. Uniquely awful and cringeworthy. Legit poor selection also. P.S. I think my license failed their stupid ass machine the first time because it had a change of address sticker on it. Morons. read more

I went to the store this weekend and I had a great experience !!!! Super pretty cashier, I guess her name was Alesya, she helped me to select the tastiest vodka I've ever tried!!! I drowned in her eyes while she took my money oh hell. The only pity is that I was too shy to take her number. Will definitely visit this store again and again. Worst customer service EVER. I went in with my daughter to pick up some wine. She saw sparkling apple juice and wanted to get some. APPLE JUICE!!! We were then harassed by the staff because she is not 21. APPLE JUICE. Anyone under 21 can walk into a liquor store and purchase a nonalcoholic item. But apparently not my daughter. Their selection is pretentious, prices high even for the cape. And apparently in their store you have to be 21 to buy apple juice. We left without purchasing anything obviously and will never spend a dime there again, nor will anyone we know. So ridiculous. read more

First day of vacation on the Cape and wanted some wine and beer. Was looking for more bottles than I could carry so asked my 17 year old nephew to carry a few of them. The salesperson refused to sell us the alcohol stating that since my nephew touched the wine state law in Massachusetts prohibits her from selling it to us. WRONG! I've been getting anxiety staying in stores very long because of coronavirus. I walked in with my boyfriend and mother and then walked out so I didn't get anxious as other people were walking around the store near me. The saleswoman apparently insisted I come back in before she would sell anything to my mother and boyfriend... I'm 29. They made me come back in to see my id and of course insisted on taking it and touching it. Thanks for making my anxiety worse... will be bringing my businesses and money elsewhere. read more

The older gentleman who works there Did several circles around us listening to us discussing which bottle of wine we We're looking for and completely ignored us. From the outside you wouldn't know this was an amazing wine shop. They have a great number of AOC, organic, biodynamic and sustainable wines from interesting vineyards both domestic and abroad. There is no other place on the Outer Cape that comes close. It outshines Perry's in Ptown and the Gourmet shop in Orleans, places that might look fancy, but achieve no where near the taste level of this place. I'm big into wine and you can't find better than this place in the area. read more

Too many other liquor stores on the Cape to go back to this one! Purchased 2 cases of spiked seltzer and twisted tea. We didn't like the tea so we brought the case back for an exchange and we had our receipt. We used 1 can from 24. The cashier/manager said they wouldn't offer an exchange because it would cost them money. While that may be true, good customer service keeps the customer happy. We asked to exchange the case for a 6 pack at half the price and she refused that too because it would cost the store money. When I asked to see the return policy she said no and stated she already told me the policy. Disappointing read more

I have never heard an employee speak to a customer the way the cashier did last night. My husband dropped a six pack through the back of the refrigerators on accident. He offered to pay for the broken bottles and apologized. The cashier began cussing him out. He said "are you f**cling sh**ting me." My husband then apologized again and he said it's just a mess. I will pay for it. The cashier then said. "Yea a f**cling mess we have to clean up now" also their wine is completely over priced. read more

If you're getting together with a large family group (14-20) and start every dinner with oysters followed by something on the grill, you'll go through a lot of wine. If you're willing to go big bottle generic white and red, read no further. If you're looking for a fantastic selection of wines that won't break your budget, get to Eastham Town Center and check out TCWS. I hadn't been down the Cape in a few years and I knew there was a decent wine shop here but I had forgotten just how good. The gal who runs it knows her stuff, buys quality and keeps the prices down. She even offers 20% off a mixed case. Why does that matter? It means that you can buy a few bottles of Vinho Verde and Sauv. Blanc for the oysters, then for the grill .. an Oregon Pinot, a couple of French Grenache/Sarah blends from Cotes du Rhone or Ventoux, some Colombia valley red blends, some Ribero del Duero Tempranillo, even (on her excellent recommendation!!) a Macedonian Red (can't remember the grape?) AND keep the case price to $120. That's $10 bucks a bottle and an absolute steal for the variety and quality. An outstanding shop! Truly as good as it gets! Went there to get wine and was refused service. I have limited use of one arm due to injury so had my son place the bottle on the counter 3 feet away. Was refused service despite clearly wearing an arm brace as an obvious sign of my disability. The woman seemed proud of herself. Been coming here for years but I have no time for other people's power trips. Oh and the markup on these wines is too high. read more

This is the best wine and beer store on the Outer Cape. When staying in Eastham area or going farther out on the Cape. Make this a stop to pick up your wines for just one meal a party or your whole vacation. The owners Kevin and Leslie will pair the rights wines you want with the meal you are planing. You will find yourself coming in for just one bottle but leaving with a case. Selection also of all the spirits you want to make any drink with all the mixers in stock. really? honestly? this place does not fit in with Eastham. Its selection of wine is over priced and they mostly only offer wines that are in the 20 to 30 dollar range. the beer selection is moderate, and not very wide spread, it is however, semi properly priced. the actual liquor is about one small wall (like your small bathroom)... seriously small. given the selection of liquor stores in orleans i would check yourself before walking in this place. read more
