I was surprised by this but thinking back the dentist puts a clamp on one tooth and then puts like piece of cloth over the tooth before he begins work. I think the clamp messed my tongue up. I called the office to report this. He is good about explaining what he is doing during the procedure though. I was in pain for a few days with my tongue even with salt rinses. To me, felt it was definitely injured during the procedure for I didn't eat or drink till hours later then very gingerly for really couldn't open mouth too much. Overall, the office seems like a caring place and I think strives to do good dentistry.
