    Oysters casino and rockefeller
    Sam A.

Such a great little bar, friendly and unpretentious in the heart of the resort area. Great selection of draft beer, and the oysters casino and rockefeller were amazing. This place is a locals' institution and a real fun place to hang out.

Tony and I was here for his 57th birthday, sitting outside in the enclosed area enjoying people watching. My daughter and her boyfriend was near by getting their pics taken at an Old Time Photo location and we were enjoying the nice weather, a cold beer and soda for me and enjoying the floor shop of tourist walking by on the sidewalk. One drunk couple at 5pm in the day was fighting on the sidewalk. That was amusing until the police arrived. We didn't eat anything here because we just had a big feast at the marina at Rudee Inlet but we enjoyed the dive bar atmosphere, the nice bartender and the few drinks we enjoyed while people watching. Definitely going here again, this is our type of place!!!

If you're looking for authentic, at the beach seafood, then this is your place. Service was great, and the raw bar was second to none. Very reasonably priced and it filled us up. The only reason for four stars was some very obnoxious patrons that were out on the patio where we were dining. To be fair, this is a bar with a bar vibe, but this one table was over the top obnoxious.

If you like seafood, especially oysters, this is the spot to eat at in Virginia Beach. The menu is simple, but the food has a lot to offer. For example, the surf side nachos are plentiful and have the perfect amount of cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Plus, you get shredded chicken, shrimp, and bacon. All of the ingredients mix well and taste amazing. Now, the Rockefeller oysters are insanely delicious. I'm not certain what's in their recipe, but it's rich and satisfying. I'm also a huge fan of the raw oysters here. They are large and consistently taste fresh. Additionally, the staff members are extremely nice and quick to serve. The atmosphere is divey, but clean. Overall, you can't go wrong eating here to satisfy your hunger.

We were looking to eat at 21st St. raw bar but they had a 40 minute wait so we meandered down 21st St. and found Seaside and we were so impressed with not only the service but the quick turnaround time and it was so so so tasty. It is a hidden gem

AMAZING! My boyfriend and I have been on vacation for a week now and have been disappointed by pretty much every meal. We got crab at another restaurant that was more expensive and it seriously sucked. At this place, we ordered the seafood platter and a house salad. We split it, and omg!! It was amazing. Seriously the perfect amount for 2 people at a good price. We spent less than $50 for 2 specialty cocktails, and the two food items. The vibe of the place was a great too. Really amazing staff. Seriously recommend!!!

Outdoor patio, fresh seafood and excellent service. We'll be back for sure!

Great food and amazing service. Ask for Charlie if you go here! Their Rockefeller oysters amazing!!

Love this place! Walked in and the first two songs over the sound system were Stevie Wonder's Superstition and "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." Staff was engaged and helpful. Jon walked us through the menu and the draft selections. We went with a dozen raw oysters, a dozen Rockefeller, and a dozen Clams Casino. They were all great. Beer selection was broad and mostly local, at least on the drafts. I admit to a bias. I love a good raw bar. But this is a wonderful version.

This location is right on the boardwalk and where i may not have originally thought that the location was kid friendly, i was sorely mistaken. Mark was amazing with our kids. He didnt need to jot down our order and even gave drink selections that were amazing based on what we liked. I will be telling everyone about this place and how amazing the food and people who work there are!

She had always wanted to try it, it had a happy hour menu with food and drinks, so why not. We parked, walked the few feet over, got seated outside, and waited. Our waitress, Taya, was an absolute gem. Only 2 months working there and she was in her element for us. It was quite humid outside but it wasnt uncomfortable. The inside though was big and spacious (the big wall of Makers Mark alcohol bottles was quite a site to see). Now onto the food and drinks: For drinks I ordered their Catch 31 Orange Crush (delicious) and they went out of their way to prepare me a Irish Car Bomb (shot of Baileys Irish Cream in a pint of Guinness) the best they could and it worked out beautifully. My wife just had her favorite Blue Moon on tap and she had no complaints. For food we ordered a Buffalo Mac and Cheese (wife), The Mack (me) and coconut shrimp (share). The Mac and cheese my wife had blew her mind. The couple bites I took I could see why. The buffalo chicken on top was melt in your mouth tender and the cheese sauce balanced the spice out nicely. The Mack I had was a double cheeseburger with thousand island dressing, lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles. I've mentioned the best burger I've ever had came from Smashed RVA but now it has competition in this one. It was fresh, juicy, and the toasted bun made it all come together. So good in fact I ordered a second one to go. Speaking of... The coconut shrimp we shared was so tender and the sweet chili dipping sauce would make your eyes pop out your head. It was spot on cooked, nice golden brown color, and very flavorful. My wife doesn't even like spicy food or coconut even but even she said she loved all of it. We got a second order of the shrimp to take home too. I talked to the manager on duty, named William, and told him my feelings and thanked him for a wonderful experience and meal and that we would definitely be back again. I can't speak for the people who gave this place negative feedback but I can say for my wife and I we had zero issues with the service, staff, and food.

Not shucked well, got shell and really lacked flavor. The peel and eat shrimp were overcooked resulting in an unpleasant texture. My salad was good though severely overdressed. The view is awesome. Service was okay but not worth it to risk getting sick. Go somewhere else where they know how to properly handle seafood esp raw bar items.

I also tried to order a French 1605, and while they didn't end up having all the ingredients, the bartender was still completely game to make something off-menu and clearly knew their spirits well. Always appreciate a bartender who actually understands balance and flavor instead of just reading recipes off a card. We also ordered the deviled quail eggs, bulgogi lettuce wraps, and potstickers. Everything was good, though our other table ended up being ready way faster than expected, so we had to take most of it to go. One small PSA: the menu calls them "jumbo" quail eggs, but quail eggs are tiny creatures of nature to begin with, so don't walk in expecting chicken egg-sized deviled eggs.

BAD: Not much, a little pricey but if you stick to the sandwiches, given it's beach town, the value is reasonable. Other menu items get into the 30s quick and appetizers are steep. Lager Heads was on the agenda from some restaurant research. Iam glad I tried it - the burger felt like a 1/2 pounder, juicy and seasoned, yet still cooked perfect. The fries are seasoned, very crispy and came with the burger which I liked. They had a great line up of burgers, I'd love to try another. The Knockout burger was fantastic, but the Cowboy burger on texas toast sounded great as well. You'll quickly leave the 17 to 20 dollar range if you leave sandwiches, but the service, the portions, and the quality make it worth a treat. We'd usually show up in the evening, and it would be sold out! Today we got there around 4, and we were in luck. When we got there, the hostess told us to sit anywhere. It took quite someone for to acknowledge us once we did sit down. Also, the table was dirty despite it being a new set up. The menus were filthy *cringe*. We all ordered the AYCE crab and shrimp. The shrimp was entirely too overcooked - literal mush and unclean. Didn't even seem like they attempted to clean the shrimp before cooking! We didn't get anymore after that first round. The crabs were good although it was weird because some of the legs were completely empty of meat! It'a $50/person, and if you eat 4 clusters or more it's worth the money. The hush puppies were REALLY good, and I don't usually eat them. Our server wasn't bad - she checked on us frequently enough. HOWEVER, her hands were filthy. Her nails were literally black underneath and so was the skin around her nails as well as her hands. It also looked like she had bit all the skin on her hands. I know this is a habit for some for different reasons so this is not shade towards that BUT in food service, handling food this is unacceptable. I am not sure what that was but if it couldn't come off using soap and water, I'd suggest gloves or her doing something else. I'm so glad I didn't notice when we were actually eating and only noticed when we were checking out. I'd go back. While it isn't anything to rant and rave about it killed my craving for crab legs and I got my money worth. Oh FYI There is an automatic gratuity added to all checks. For 3 AYCE and 1 sweet tea, our bill was $200.
