Whoo where to begin with this one. My wife and I decided to come here for dinner on 5/19. It was…read moreher first time coming for actual food and it was my first time ever. She had always wanted to try it, it had a happy hour menu with food and drinks, so why not. We parked, walked the few feet over, got seated outside, and waited. Our waitress, Taya, was an absolute gem. Only 2 months working there and she was in her element for us. It was quite humid outside but it wasnt uncomfortable. The inside though was big and spacious (the big wall of Makers Mark alcohol bottles was quite a site to see). Now onto the food and drinks: For drinks I ordered their Catch 31 Orange Crush (delicious) and they went out of their way to prepare me a Irish Car Bomb (shot of Baileys Irish Cream in a pint of Guinness) the best they could and it worked out beautifully. My wife just had her favorite Blue Moon on tap and she had no complaints. For food we ordered a Buffalo Mac and Cheese (wife), The Mack (me) and coconut shrimp (share). The Mac and cheese my wife had blew her mind. The couple bites I took I could see why. The buffalo chicken on top was melt in your mouth tender and the cheese sauce balanced the spice out nicely. The Mack I had was a double cheeseburger with thousand island dressing, lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles. I've mentioned the best burger I've ever had came from Smashed RVA but now it has competition in this one. It was fresh, juicy, and the toasted bun made it all come together. So good in fact I ordered a second one to go. Speaking of... The coconut shrimp we shared was so tender and the sweet chili dipping sauce would make your eyes pop out your head. It was spot on cooked, nice golden brown color, and very flavorful. My wife doesn't even like spicy food or coconut even but even she said she loved all of it. We got a second order of the shrimp to take home too. I talked to the manager on duty, named William, and told him my feelings and thanked him for a wonderful experience and meal and that we would definitely be back again. I can't speak for the people who gave this place negative feedback but I can say for my wife and I we had zero issues with the service, staff, and food.

Not shucked well, got shell and really lacked flavor. The peel and eat shrimp were overcooked resulting in an unpleasant texture. My salad was good though severely overdressed. The view is awesome. Service was okay but not worth it to risk getting sick. Go somewhere else where they know how to properly handle seafood esp raw bar items.

Really wonderfully creative cocktails the bartender/owner invents included a cask aged Negroni. Service by Ella was 5 Star all the way. With a group that size the orders just keep coming and we never had to look for her. If you are a charcuterie fan, this place has the best board in town. We also loved the daily special, dirty martini hummus. If you haven't been here in a while, I'd suggest you give it a go.

I also tried to order a French 1605, and while they didn't end up having all the ingredients, the bartender was still completely game to make something off-menu and clearly knew their spirits well. Always appreciate a bartender who actually understands balance and flavor instead of just reading recipes off a card. We also ordered the deviled quail eggs, bulgogi lettuce wraps, and potstickers. Everything was good, though our other table ended up being ready way faster than expected, so we had to take most of it to go. One small PSA: the menu calls them "jumbo" quail eggs, but quail eggs are tiny creatures of nature to begin with, so don't walk in expecting chicken egg-sized deviled eggs.

A special shoutout to our waitress, Nikki, who was amazing. We had several substitutions, sides, and food allergies within our group, and what could have easily turned into incorrect orders was handled perfectly. She got everything right, was attentive, professional, and made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. It was brunch time and not too busy, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend trying the fried chicken, shrimp and crab omelette, and the home fries. Everything was flavorful and prepared perfectly. Great food, outstanding service, and a wonderful overall experience. Highly recommend!

Lager Heads GOOD:…read moreThe burgers and fries, the service was also wonderful. BAD: Not much, a little pricey but if you stick to the sandwiches, given it's beach town, the value is reasonable. Other menu items get into the 30s quick and appetizers are steep. Lager Heads was on the agenda from some restaurant research. Iam glad I tried it - the burger felt like a 1/2 pounder, juicy and seasoned, yet still cooked perfect. The fries are seasoned, very crispy and came with the burger which I liked. They had a great line up of burgers, I'd love to try another. The Knockout burger was fantastic, but the Cowboy burger on texas toast sounded great as well. You'll quickly leave the 17 to 20 dollar range if you leave sandwiches, but the service, the portions, and the quality make it worth a treat. It was February, so I couldn't partake in what looked like great outdoor seating. That's something else I'd like to try if I returned in the summer.

We were able to seat anywhere we chose the booth hightop where we had a perfect view of the ocean water and we even saw dolphins passing through while are stay. The atmosphere is perfect for that more intimate experience for lunch and dinner and the light decor was nice and unique with cozy seating with perfect views of the ocean water . We came during restaurant week this spot was very good from the service the space and food we did their $20 lunch menu which included appetizers and entrees portions were definitely worth the option they had. I did the Caesar salad, a nice light salad surprisingly to start off with the entrée which was their burger and that burger was well seasoned well prepared delicious it's honestly my favorite will be back again for it during the summertime or another dine in plus you can do either the lunch or dinner option anytime during restaurant week the only difference is dinner gives you a dessert and that is $35 per person. The drink was a good choice to pair with our food. my favorite was their orange crush a perfect classic for the beach. Definitely a drink to have in the summer if you want a good crush they got an option with different flavors I did the original orange crush which was light and sweet. Overall a good start to restaurant week and trying something different.

We'd usually show up in the evening, and it would be sold out! Today we got there around 4, and we were in luck. When we got there, the hostess told us to sit anywhere. It took quite someone for to acknowledge us once we did sit down. Also, the table was dirty despite it being a new set up. The menus were filthy *cringe*. We all ordered the AYCE crab and shrimp. The shrimp was entirely too overcooked - literal mush and unclean. Didn't even seem like they attempted to clean the shrimp before cooking! We didn't get anymore after that first round. The crabs were good although it was weird because some of the legs were completely empty of meat! It'a $50/person, and if you eat 4 clusters or more it's worth the money. The hush puppies were REALLY good, and I don't usually eat them. Our server wasn't bad - she checked on us frequently enough. HOWEVER, her hands were filthy. Her nails were literally black underneath and so was the skin around her nails as well as her hands. It also looked like she had bit all the skin on her hands. I know this is a habit for some for different reasons so this is not shade towards that BUT in food service, handling food this is unacceptable. I am not sure what that was but if it couldn't come off using soap and water, I'd suggest gloves or her doing something else. I'm so glad I didn't notice when we were actually eating and only noticed when we were checking out. I'd go back. While it isn't anything to rant and rave about it killed my craving for crab legs and I got my money worth. Oh FYI There is an automatic gratuity added to all checks. For 3 AYCE and 1 sweet tea, our bill was $200.
