The band had embarked on their North American tour from their native South Korea. Since I had never seen the band before as well, the adventure to a new space for me made the whole thing more interesting to me. Now I travel via the MTA, and from Bay Ridge this event space is a bit of a hike. It's the R train to the N to the 7 to a fairly decent walk. Those who are driving or taking an Uber might have a little better trek experience than I did but that being said once I made it past the famed Unisphere and over to New York State Pavilion, it was time to go into the Queens Theatre. When I arrived there were already about 100 attendees lined up because the band was doing all sorts of VIP things with them. A cool part of the agenda for sure. Inside the theatre is a spacious lobby area with seating all around near the windows. There are concessions there but I only saw drinks being sold when I looked. There was a small merchandise table for the band set up and I imagine that when other shows happen here this will be their space as well. Right off the bat I connected to a complimentary WiFi signal which was good but seemed to go on and off during the course of the performance. Once I was in the actual performance space I was quite impressed. The stage is sizable which was great because this was a five member band with a full backline and the seats were oh so comfortable. Yes this was a Rock Show and people would likely be standing throughout the performance but when it was time to sit you could do so in comfort. I positioned myself in the eighth or so row on the aisle since I needed to shoot photographs and I was happy to report that there were no bad sightlines in the theater. The sound was also clear and impressive which was partially a testimony to the bands team on the tour. While I didn't get to explore the venue all that much outside of the show, I did see one of the spacious side rooms which I guess they do talks in or smaller events. The band has set up their meet and greets there so it was in and out in terms of time to examine. There was a complimentary WiFi that I did find to be spotty at times but I feel this was based on the amount of people choosing to live stream the show. There were obviously restrooms and while I can only speak for the men's facility it was quite clean which is always a pleasant find. Overall this was a great experience for me but I cannot fathom when and if I might make a return based on the logistics and scarcity of what most interests me happening here. I will be keeping tabs on their calendar for good measure just in case and maybe some other localized Hard Rock bands can look into it or even local promoters who wish to do something that is no too crazy.

We had a hard time finding parking as the show was about to start and the park is always busy. There were two small lots nearby that were full. Upon entering check in was easy. They had a small concession stand. The seating was great with no obstructed views. The play itself was kid friendly and told the meaning and traditions of the special day. It was very informative and entertaining. I enjoyed the different styles of dances performed, the colorful outfits, the creative scenery (which was simple but effective). I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to visiting again.

Everyone from security and staff were friendly and professional! When you enter the room, it is first come, first served. You choose from tables for four or high tables that sit two. They will inform you that if you are a party of two and sitting at a table for 4, two more people may sit next to you. You order and pay for your food and drinks with the QR code and it is delivered in minutes. Great live music! Great staff! Great vibes! I Plan on returning !

They play music and fans stop by and leave photos , flowers, trinkets. Fans just feel the love and comfort from like minded peeps. I've seen concerts here too. Really the inside is pretty fab. Beautiful. Enjoy the photos of the world BEST ENTERTAINERS that have performed here!!. Such history!! They have theater tours and you can take lots of pics and hear the stories!! Make sure you see The Tree of Hope!!

The theater itself looks like all the other entertainment centers attached to college campuses, and this one is no different, being part of Queens College. It's stately looking but inside is rather dated. I came here to watch a live show with Ira Glass, one of the OG podcasters. The show itself was good, but as a superfan who has seen a lot of his work it was dull to see a lot of his old hit an no new material. No fault of the theater itself, but the seating wasn't ideal. The theater is large, with old auditorium chairs that remind me of my elementary school and a tiny stage upfront without good acoustics. It's fine for local artists but I doubt you'd want to see anything large scale here.

The Circus used to come and park in a vacant lot near my house in Florida. That was my first experience seeing a sideshow. I was in Second or Third Grade. Every time I get the opportunity I have to go see the sideshow acts. Coney Island was my go to place at one time. I'm fond of the Fortune Teller. That was pre-Covid-19. I don't know what you will find if you visit Coney Island now. I'm posting some photos I took a long time ago. I have my memories of fun times until I can get back to Coney Island Park again. I hope the sideshow will still be there. There's one of my photos of what was a beer joint. Coney Island Brewery is there now. The old Coney Island Lager has a connection to the Sideshow atmosphere of Coney Island. I'll let you do the research and look it up! I'm posting my favorite Shmaltz Brewing Company photo. Half the show time was spent trying to get us to buy more tickets and spend more money. After the first little act, they kept telling us where to buy more tickets. After the second, they wanted us to spend $10 on the show poster. Then after the blade box act, they wanted us to pay to come up and see the trick. There was one more act & then they were asking us to pay more money to see something else. I appreciate the art & understand the sideshow needs to be supported, but I paid for a show & saw maybe 15 minutes of actual acts. I hope they reconsider the format & their approach to donations.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will get you processed quickly. The space itself has multiple shows running. In addition to Heathers and Amaze, the Putnam Spelling Bee also plays there. All in all, New World Stages is a good space to catch an off Broadway show in a more intimate environment.

It seems like everytime I come here, they are always adding new food vendors or new touches to make the experience ever better than the last. I loved the VIP lounge area, complete with it's own bar, tons of shade and comfy seating, corn hole, and even ping pong! I also love how every seat in the house feels super close to the action and has a great view of the stage. This is literally my favorite place to watch a show so if you're thinking about buying tix for something here, definitely do it!

Seemed like they just purchased cases from the Wine and Spirits store and served it (I feel terrible for admitting that). In the past, you were lucky if you reached all of the stations in time. Also, there were few demonstrations. A nice addition was the food. The samples were amazing! I tasted some of the best nachos I've ever had - they were from Papi's in Brooklyn. I would rate it 5 stars from my first experience, but most recently, it's more like a 3. Second Glass, keep the food, add more wine and demonstrations. I understand that it comes at a price, but people love wine, so they'll probably pay it. Also, I'm not sure if we had the option to purchase the wines, but that would be a great addition for the people who showcase their wine. People will be nice, loose, and ready to buy some of the great wine if you give them the chance to. :)

They had wines from California, Australia, France, Italy, Brooklyn, the Finger Lakes, Chile, New Zealand and Germany. Wine Riot had a fun theme for all the millennials: photo booths, a champagne station and temporary tattoos. My favorite wines were from Chile, New Zealand, Australia and France. And one wine from Germany. I loved the fruity fragrant Blue Nun from Germany. Very fragrant and sweet. Their wine station was decorated with fully bloomed purple orchids. Beautiful. Continuing on the sweet theme, Maison Marcel had this fresh crisp sweet rose blend from France that I loved. Maison Marcel tasted like a perfect digestif or great with a fresh fruit platter. My favorite of the night was the Quintay. The Quintay was buttery minerally rich Chardonnay from Chile. If I had a full pour of this, I would have been happy all night. We didn't even get to try the wines from Italy due to the long line. If you get there at 6pm, the crowd was large but well organized. People would sip, chat to the wine pourer and move on. Definitely eat something fatty before you start, to help slow down the alcohol absorption! Thankfully, me and K got grilled cheese sandwiches from the the Melt Shop, which definitely helped us retain our facilities! Also Cypress Grove cheese had a creamy gritty goat milk cheese (Midnight moon) and a truffle, black pepper, brie-like consistency goat cheese (Truffle Tremor). The cheeses were a great accompaniment with the white wines. Also stay hydrated with Vita Coco! Their booths gave free samples of flavored coconut water. Very helpful to replenish your electrolytes. Also keep taking small sips of water. Water pitchers were circulating to help keep you hydrated. I had a wonderful time with my friends and I really enjoyed trying so many varieties of wine.
