Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. The doughnuts are a bit pricey but they sure are delicious. I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. The place is a roadside stand. There are a few tables to the side of the stall, not under cover. The vibey hippie shack that you see in old photos is no longer there. It's pretty hard to find, at least if you're a foot passenger on the ferry. It's outdoors by the vehicle loading area for Berth 3, which is on the east side of the terminal. From the foot passenger area, I found two ways to get there but both were pretty awkward. They really need to add the location or directions to the signs that they have up all over the terminal; if I hadn't spent so much time figuring out where to go, I might've made it there on time to get something. The service was really slow. I joined the lineup around 8 am thinking that it would be kind of close but I'd be back in the terminal by 8:15 to catch my 8:35 ferry, and I was holding out even as the minutes ticked by, hoping that the people in front of me might have easy orders, but even things like baked goods and regular coffee were taking a while. When the line got to the two people in front of me and they tried to order two mochas, the barista told them it wouldn't be ready in time for them to catch the ferry, so I also got out of line at that point. The barista seemed very friendly and I appreciated that he was upfront about the time it would take to prepare the drinks (this is why 2 stars instead of 1). This pace of service is not a good fit for the ferry terminal, though, where people are on a tight schedule.

Sorry Starbucks...you are further away from ferry terminal and you also have a bad reputation for selling foods with toxic chemical ingredients... therefore, boycott continues. I like Blenz not only because it's 100% Canadian. Also, I appreciate that they serve organic whole-leaf teas that are thoughtfully sourced from around the world -- as a tea lover, i like to drink whole-leaf healthy teas. I buy Blenz teas because it's a brand that I can trust to have natural teas that are ethically traded, and free from artificial flavours and fillers.

I had to get one. It was a nice treat and I know a lot of places don't make good sausage rolls. I was very impressed by their quality. The sausage roll was very nice light and flaky. I wished that there were more meat inside. It also had a lot of flavor in the meat itself. Service was good. The lady said she had some fresh ones made and she gave me a fresh one instead of one in the display shelve which was very kind of her. The sausage roll was a bit cold when I got it but it was not bad. The store itself is quite small and somewhat crammed. They sell other things such as cookies, tarts, other pastries and even kitchen items. They have some seatings outside. If the weather wasn't that cold, I would consider sitting and eating outside. I love froyo and can eat it anytime, so decided to get it as a snack. They offer not just froyo but ice cream, milk shakes, smoothies, and milk tea as well. The selection is pretty good for a one-woman shop! For the froyo, they mix in fresh fruit. After choosing the size and container type, you can then choose up to two types of fruit to mix in as well as any additional toppings you want. I got a kids size in a regular cone with peach and mango and paid about $6. They had it ready for me super quickly. The froyo wasn't as tart as I prefer, but I could taste both fruits. I also appreciated that it wasn't too sweet. My friend tried a bite and enjoyed it as well.

I saw the berries that went in and the bar of yoghurt which the machine churned out. It had authentic flavors and was not overtly sweet either because the flavors came from the actual fruit vs sugar. I would definitely recommend trying them once if you are in West Van especially if you don't like the sweetness of mass produced frozen yoghurt

The seating area is L shaped, and largely fits around the outer edge of the building (the restaurant is on a corner lot). Great view of the park and water. Staff are friendly and cheerful. As my friends and I were only here for a beer, I can't comment on the food. Pricing looked pretty reasonable, and I've heard good things about this place from friends. Guess I'm coming back at some point.

As it was happy hour, my friends and I went for their burger & beer combo. The burger is pretty solid. Doesn't include sides though. I added an onion ring upgrade. Pretty decent as wel. The calamari is also quite good here. Fluffy and not too greasy. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back at some point. Recommended.

There were lots of TVs playing Olympics when I went. They had booth seating, high tables, and bar stools. Looks like a good neighborhood bar/conveniently located for anyone else like me waiting for the ferry!
