Great location to pick up a sandwich or a drink. Gluten free options available. Located right across from ferry terminal and very spacious inside to sit and enjoy your meal or coffee while waiting for a ferry. Service was efficient and friendly. I prefer this Blenz store as my go to spot to order a light bite or get coffee when I am at Horseshoe Bay Village. Sorry Starbucks...you are further away from ferry terminal and you also have a bad reputation for selling foods with toxic chemical ingredients... therefore, boycott continues. I like Blenz not only because it's 100% Canadian. Also, I appreciate that they serve organic whole-leaf teas that are thoughtfully sourced from around the world -- as a tea lover, i like to drink whole-leaf healthy teas. I buy Blenz teas because it's a brand that I can trust to have natural teas that are ethically traded, and free from artificial flavours and fillers. read more

This is my favorite place to get a hot chocolate when in this area. It is walking distance from the ferry terminal, so you can walk over to grab a coffee while waiting for the ferry. The place gets busy by 930 am and it can be a challenge to get a seat. But people do leave if they have a ferry to catch. Great place to people watch if you're sitting by the window. Nice and friendly staff too. read more

This is a solid nearby solid coffee option to pickup some coffee before you get onto the ferry. The ferry journey is approximately 2 hours, and the onboard coffee is poor. Blenz is right across the street from the ferry terminal, so you can easily pickup some togo coffee to take with you. Just note that the coffee quality isn't stellar. It's adequate, but it's not what you would find at a local coffee shop. read more

Ordered a latte macchiato with soy milk and one pump of vanilla, got asked 3 times whether I wanted caramel or maple after I repeatedly said neither. Got my latte, I asked if it was a latte macchiato and they were super confused so I just left it. Had a sip of it and all I could taste was sugar, asked how many shots they put in and she says 4. She asks me if I want a new one (duh), so I ask her to put the expresso shot on top this time and she had a smirk on the entire time. Had to remind her that it was with soy (lactose intolerant) since she was making it with regular milk. Then my boyfriend noticed the used the same thermometer in the regular milk as they did in the soy... Good thing I dont have a severe reaction to lactose *insert passive aggressive smiley face* Not polite at all and very demeaning. Never going back. read more

This is the Blenz that is literally beside the entrance to the ferry gate (to buy your tickets @ Horseshoe Bay). There is limited seating, the place is narrow and there is always a line up out the door since the idea of a good beverage inside the boat does not exist. I met up with some other peps in line who were also on their way to Courtney. It was cool talking to locals and sharing our love for our families over a nice cup of hot tea (me) and coffee (them). This is what Christmas is about, being with your family. No excuse to miss them. It was touching to see families at a table with little ones and their hot chocolates. The barista was really nice. I have to have Stevia in my tea and she made the effort to ensure that I had some in my beverage (she went in the back room to get it). There is also some gift baskets in case you need a last minute gift. read more

I love Blenz, there drinks are always made so yummy. I love that they have almond milk because I don't drink dairy. The drinks just taste better here. They have the best hot chocolate I've ever had!! And around Christmas time the peppermint mocha....amazing!! It is a total treat but your money is well spent because Ir always tastes amazing. read more

What? I'm sorry; you charge me the same (over) price for a cold coffee ice cap (whatever they call it) when it was just a thin smalle,r coffee milk shake, instead of a larger, thick, coffee drink because you are out of ice, cream, and you don't tell me until I've paid. You see, this is how you don't get repeat customers. And what's with the dry lemon muffins, with the chemical after taste? I know you have all the tourist from the ferry to milk, but with several more coffee shops with in blocks, you have to still get things right. If you cannot get a frozen coffee drink, and a muffin right; how are you going to get a half-double-decaffeinated-half-caff, with a twist correct? read more

So I've tried Blenz here twice. First time they messed up my order, I asked for decaf with reduced sugar for the pumpkin spice latte. When I got my coffee they weren't certain if it was decaf but grudgingly made it again. Next time was decaf but then they added all of the sugar. They seemed annoyed so I did not feel confortable to ask again. Then on my second trip, while they got my order correct, it was scalding hot even too hot to hold with a coffee sleeve! So I decided to sit at a table in the coffee shop to wait for it to cool before walking to my car. Within 5 minutes of sitting down, one of the employees had startled me by bumping into my arm with the outside chairs he was carrying inside, saying I needed to move as he was bringing the outside chairs inside the store. There was no apology or an "excuse me" provided. So I decided to move to another table. Seems this table was no better as he ended up piling all of the tables and chairs around me! While I can appreciate it was 15 minutes before closing, I certainly did not feel welcome here. During my 5 -10 minutes stay, this same employee was swearing, yelling S**t a few times inside the coffee shop talking to one of his coworkers across the store! What kind of coffee shop is this? Gas station coffee without the fuel pump. Poor service by either unqualified/untrained or simply unhelpful and nasty people manning the espresso machine. After not getting my drink right in three tries, I was mocked by the barista (term used lightly) when I seriously scalded my hand by the drink spilling from the over-filled cup. My partner's drip coffee was weak and flavourless. Great location though. Someone ought to open a real coffee place there. read more
