I could not have been more disappointed in the sales staff. On Thursday my husband drove and hour and 1/2 to look at tables and chairs. On Friday I called and said I would like to purchase the sets my husband saw however we were 2.5-3 hours away. Rather than the sales staff tell me that if I gave them a credit card they would hold the set; we drove 3 hours (due to Friday traffic) and walked in to them saying they sold the set 30 minutes earlier. They always do right by the customer. The parts department is amazing. Mike is the best. We've purchased our last two pools from them. Last year our pool pump went. Mike gave us suggestions to try BEFORE we ordered a new unit. Don't spend $800-$1000 on a new unit if these tricks might help you get one more year out of your system. The motor was indeed gone and we needed a new system. They let me take photo's of the same pump they had hooked up so I could see how to do it myself. This year I went to the parts department armed with photos of my piping difficulties. The gentleman(it wasn't Mike but another very knowledgeable person) worked very hard to understand what I was talking about and come up with a solution. Went in on Monday night to buy a new Christmas tree, and walked out with a pre-lit 7.5 foot tree for $500. Not the bargain of the century, but after a few years we've finally figured out that you get what you pay for. Got home, set up the tree, plugged it in, and lo and behold: a string of lights was out. After trying for an hour to diagnose and fix the problem ourselves, I decide to contact the manufacturer, but when I go online to register the purchase, I notice that the name of the tree on the receipt isn't the same as the one we bought. (This was mentioned to us when we paid for the tree, but I admittedly only half paid attention.) Thus, the next day I called Seasonal to see if they could help fix the receipt. They explained the different name on the receipt (the manufacturer changed the model name), then told me to bring the burnt out section of the tree to them. I brought the affected part of the tree to them, and they told me Matt would fix it as soon as he was back from lunch. They took my name, and I headed out to run some other errands. Maybe an hour later, Matt called to tell me that he wouldn't have time to get to my tree today, so he'd pulled the matching section out of a new box, tested it, and had it waiting for me at the front of the store. Just like that, I had a brand new piece and a working Christmas tree. A truism about any sort of customer service: it isn't the problems you remember, it's the resolution. I expected a weeks-long ordeal with the manufacturer, and instead had a pleasant, quick encounter with the Seasonal staff that made my problem go away. We'll definitely be back. read more

I have been going to Seasonal for years for my pool needs. The staff is great. They are very helpful. The parts department has helped me on numerous occasions trying to trouble shoot issues I was having. They don't sell you unnecessary items. This spring I was having issues with my pool pump motor. They didn't just jump to selling me a new system. They told me a few items to try first. If those didn't work then I needed a new pump. That's customer service. read more

Our table had a minor manufacturer bracket issue that I never would have known about. Michael made sure that I was aware of the issue, worked with the manufacturer, and sent his installer back to my home to service it. His installer was professional and extremely knowledgable as well! We first purchased patio furniture for Seasonal Specialty Stores over 20 years ago. Since then we've made other purchases, including most recently a gas fire pit table. Our experience has always been excellent, with attentive and knowledgeable staff and very competitive pricing. Our last purchase had to be held in their warehouse for several months as the patio work was being delayed....they held it no questions asked and without a warehousing fee. Don't be influenced by the few less glowing reviews....every retailer is struggling with staffing and training new employees. This is a very good store, with a terrific selection, helpful staff and an engaged owner. Every time we need something for the patio, this is our first stop. Highly recommend them. read more

This place I have always made a trip to every few years for something I'd never even think in 100 years I'd be even looking for. This is a good showroom to look around for ideas on improving your yard, summer home, or game room. Notice the word "look". They have some of the highest prices, most 'annoying' staff (and by annoying, I mean ignorant), and never the newest and most up to date stuff. Throughout their showrooms of hot tubs, pool tables, pools, lights, umbrellas, and other sorts of house decor they have a lot, but some of which is able to be find at Namco, Home Depot or other chain stores that are more convenient for less. It's not a shock that they wasn't ONE other person in the store when I came. This place has really changed... they used to have amazing customer service and prices, but all of that has changed. It's not even joyful entering this store.... rather a complete annoyance. I would avoid this place and check out Namco, Home Depot and other stores that sell the same typical furniture and other decor. 2 stars. read more

I highly recommend this store. I found an installed through my barber, Tom Gaudet construction. He pointed me in this direction and told me to contact Mike Small. Best thing I ever did. I've been trying to find the right pool and Mike was knowledgeable, patient, and super nice to deal with. He answered all of my stupid questions and never sounded annoyed. If anything, asked if there was anything else he could help with. Even once the pool was installed today, I emailed Mike on his day off asking about automatic cleaners and he responded within minutes! Even reminded me of the zoom tomorrow. Incredible people. When I tried to call, it was impossible to speak to a person about a question I had. I have been a customer for years, so I drove there to have my pool water tested. I went to pay for the chemicals I bought, and was greeted by a sign that read, We're sorry about the measures we are taking, but we are avoiding the sickness or death of our employees.Then I was told they won't accept cash. I asked if this was a board of health ruling, or their own, and the clerk said it is "their policy," with an attitude. Then I asked for my receipt, and she said they don't give paper receipts, but could email one to me- no doubt with a forthcoming stream of junk mail. I told her to tell the owners that they are losing a good customer. Both Leslie's and New England Pool are much closer to me, and they both test water AND accept cash! I get being prudent about virus safety, but this optional store paranoia is out of line. I will never go back! read more

I can not say enough good things about Mike at Seasonal Specialty Stores in Foxboro. We are brand new pool owners and shopped around at three different local pool stores, with this store being the furthest. I am so glad we decided to go with them. Pricing was on par with all other stores, but what really stands out is Mike's customer service and genuine care for his customers. I could write an essay on the different ways he went out of his way for us, however I will just say that he has secured us as life long customers (as least as long as we have our pool!) He is kind, generous, and incredibly knowledgeable. Always willing to help when it comes to our hundreds of questions. If you are looking for a pool, definitely consider giving him a call. My experience in buying a pool table was outstanding from my first visit to the store through actual installation. Mike was very knowledgeable and made the decision process easy . Pricing was fair with no surprising extras. Eric 's installation was amazing to watch and very professional. A real art form. Finally my kids became addicted to pool after installation and are playing constantly. A cue tip fell off of one of the cues that we purchased with the table. I talked to Mike about it and within a week the manufacturer sent me a replacement. If you are looking for a pool table this is the place to go. read more

I'm there almost every week during the summer either for free pool water testing or to get supplies. Everyone there, and I mean everyone, is awesome. They have worked with me on getting products when they don't directly carry them, connected me with other suppliers when I needed service, and worked with me on pricing on several occasions. I've bought Christmas trees and Christmas decorations over the years as well, and always been please with product quality and the service. I know that the most motivated comments come from folks that have negative experiences so I thought it was important to be just as vocal when my experiences have always been positive. read more

This is not a store for minorities no matter how well dressed you are or how much money you are prepared to spend. I noticed the store while riding my motorcycle through foxboro a few times; as well as when going and coming from the Patriot games. This year decided I wanted to change a few things in my "man cave", (pool room) so I thought I'd go in and spend some cash. I walk in accompanied by a female friend who I brought with me; who wanted to personalize her "billiard equipment" as well. We walked in; we are the ONLY customers mind you at 12:30 PM. About 5 store employees look at us and gave us the nod. We walked over to the billiard section and began to pick out new 2 piece Graphite pool cues to add to our collection. $200 - $500 a piece. We began to look at new/different pool balls, cue stick carriers, cue tips and etc. No carriages to put our items in mind you. At one point someone yells from about 75 yards away; "if you need some help, come get us". We look at each other and say to each other; you think that if we are the only people in the store someone could come over and ask if we need anything or point out what "the specialty store" recommends. No that wasn't the case. After riding out 45 miles specially to their store to spend my hard earned money; yes I wanted some service. So to top it all off intertwined in the Billiard equipment you have the hot tub/saunas. After picking out over $500 in just a couple cue sticks and other small items so far we looked back again to see if anyone was going to come assist us and low and behold an older white male walked our way. We all extended glances then a quick but fake smile. Ours was due to not liking the service we had gotten thus far and his was for whatever reason. As the gentleman approached and we waited to see if he'd attempt to help us without us saying anything he walked past us and directly to a hot tub/sauna. We looked at each other and realized that he was not an employee but a customer as well. So after walking around and shopping for 20 finally another customer came into the store. I would say that you wouldn't believe what happened next but I am sure that you would; but let me tell you anyways. After this older, white non Hispanic male walks in to the store, walks past a 50 Year old, black non-Hispanic male accompanied by a 45 Year old Hispanic Female and begins to look at his item a sales rep walks past the two minority shoppers and asks "can I help you sir?". We look at each other in disbelief! I then take a loon at my clothing and I am dressed business casual; (I say this just so that you can feel where I am coming from). I have on dress slacks, a dress shirt and a dress coat. The female with me is dressed just as professional. The older white male is dressed in worn jeans, a winter coat and some kind of old boots. At this point even though we are upset from lack of service being provided we don't act ignorant; hence the business attire. We are professional workers and people, (both of us). We decide we are not going to leave our money in this store no matter what services they provide at this time. So we put our items down and start to head towards the front door. As we start heading that way off to our far right is the woman who yelled to us when we first walked in " if you need some help, come get us", sitting at a table with two other men looking as though they were about to eat lunch that was just ordered and purchased. She yelled once again from about 25 feet away while still sitting "are you guys ok" I replied back "no we are not ok" and continued to walk to the counter which was manned by an older male doing something to their cash register. I then asked him was he the manager and he replied "I am one of them". I then told him what had just transpired and my feelings about his store and that I would never spend a penny in that store as long as I lived. He apologized and "stated" that he understood where I was coming from and apologized. We left really upset and realizing how much time we had wasted. NH is only 30 mins away; closer than the store we went to. We should have went there. Who knows I still would have been a black non-Hispanic male and she would have still been a Hispanic female; we may have gotten the same treatment there!!! If anyone knows a place in the vicinity of Boston that caters not only to billiard players but minorities; could you please let me know ASAP. I want to spend some money before the Super Bowl!!! This is not a discount store by any means, but I am always reminded (by my very smart wife) when shopping for quality, that quality costs much more, and furniture is always shockingly expensive, and costs more than you think it will cost. Regarding this specific store in Foxborough, I thought their designs and options in the store organized, and nicely set up. I am surprised to hear complaints about service being inattentive as we have not purchased our table from there (or elsewhere) yet, but have been buying small stuff, and looking at outdoor furniture for the last year or two. I have found service to be attentive and quite helpful each of the 3-4 times we have been in there to pick up various things. Service seems strong to me - I think that is the benefit - you walk in - and for higher than discount shop pricing, you can get exactly what you want quickly with excellent service! They know about each producer of the furniture, which is nice also, as I care where things are sourced, as we like to be aware of the source country, and purchase US goods where possible. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! We recently bought a pool from them-our first. Mike took us through all the steps, answered all our questions without any of the often unwanted, sales pressure. We love our new pool and have taken advantage of the "pool school" they offer monthly. We did encounter one problem after setting up the pool. The stairs/ladder that came with the pool was not going to suffice for my elderly mother. When we called Mike about this, he could not have been more helpful!! We returned our steps and got another set that will serve us quite nicely-all without breaking the bank!! It is obvious that customer service is one of their top priorities! I actually do like going into this store to browse and look at things but when it comes time to buy I go someplace else since this place is outrageously priced. I priced out an air hockey and foosball table here and the prices are crazy high plus the delivery is just curbside and to have them bring it inside and set up it is another $75 which is a ripoff. They have a lot of Xmas items and the selection is pretty good but with the high prices you can get the same items at Amazon or even Target a mile up the road for half the price. They have some cool man cave items and signed pictures but again same thing, the prices are outrageous for those as well and you can find the same pieces at the Emerald Square Mall. Staff seems like they are doing you a favor waiting on you and God forbid you try and ask for help, you can either not find anyone or they are of no help. I would never go there for a hot tub if the prices on other things are this high! Skip it, it is a waste of time! read more

A friend recommended them to me today. I drove 15 miles to visit the store....I walked in, was impressed to see Department 56 sold there, but reminded myself I was there to buy a hot tub. There were no customers in the store, but I did see five employees. I looked at each one of the six hot tubs there, and perused their album on recent hot tub installations. I was in the hot tub section for at least 15 minutes. Not ONE person asked me if I had questions about product! Bruce, I'm with you! Went into the Foxboro store the other day. I had a few window candles to return. The older dark haired,short woman was at the register assisting someone. I walked through the store looking for other things, killing time. She was so rude to me. The first thing she says to me is "did you come in through the back door?" No, why I replied. I came in through that door ( the front). I was confused why she was asking me. Because, she said. You have a bag in your hand, and we always take them from the customers when they come in!! Very curtly, by the way. I showed her my returns. I wanted a store credit only. But no, over 2 weeks, no credit of any kind! We live locally and have always supported seasonal. Pool supplies, pool table etc. but no more. They can have their ass store. I predict they will be closing soon. Horrible customer service. Snobby, rude people. I ride by all the time. There's never any customers in the lot. And Bruce, I'm a female, white, middle aged, well dressed woman. So, I think it's just their not happy people working there. I'll never go back. read more

My husband and I recently bought a 6-1/2 ft Light Command Christmas tree at Seasonal Specialty Store in Foxboro. The tree changes colors from all white to all multi color and also will fade and twinkle white and multi. It's a beautiful tree. Unfortunately, one of the strands of lights would not turn on white. I went to see one of the Principals, Matt Randazzo, in Foxboro to tell him about my problem. He suggested that I take each defective light out and put back in again to see if one was put in incorrectly. He gave me a device to put in each light to test at no charge. However, that did not work. When I went back today to tell Matt that the light strand was still out, he offered to let me keep the tree until after Christmas since it was already decorated and he would give me a full refund after Christmas!!! We purchased a pool through these guys this spring. The pool was installed by an unbelievable crew. They were wonderful, professional and clean. A few parts of the delivery were missing, one being the ladder to enter the pool. We got another ladder, which fell apart. I contacted the store and they sent someone out with a new ladder the next day. Unfortunately the ladder was not installed properly and caused damage to the liner as well as the deck. Pete (the manager) took care of everything no questions asked. I can't say how happy I am with seasonal, and Pete. This is a top notch company. We almost purchased a pool through Namco and I'm counting my blessings we made the purchase through Namco. The pool we have is sturdy and very well built.
