I don't think I've encountered business as knowledgeable and customer-oriented as Hearthside. If I could give them 50 stars instead of 5 I would! We had a 30-year old fireplace that was losing more heat than it ever made and I wanted to put in a high efficiency model that would actually warm up the house rather than sending the heat into the sky. So, I spent a lot of time driving around various metrowest fireplace shops, showing photos of existing fireplace, talking to people. I've went to every single shop there is in 30-mile radius. And everywhere I came I heard either a "we're too busy, come back in a couple of months" or they gave a ridiculous quote off the top of their head. And then I found Hearthside. Lee was very knowledgeable and honest, he followed up when the fireplace model I needed became available, he was very transparent and that quality is critical to me. When it came to technical details on installation - Josh was absolutely fantastic! I can't commend him high enough. He was very thorough and warned us about some choices we were making and even after we made those bad choices - he worked with us to resolve all the issues. I first found out about Hearthside Fireplace & Patio on Facebook in April of 2020. I was interested in one of their Caldera Hot Tubs display models that they were selling at the time. I talked to Sean and he answered all of the questions that I had before I decided to go to their showroom to look at it in person. I stopped by the Holliston store after work in April and I was impressed by every employee in the store practicing social distancing, wearing masks, etc. during the peak of COVID-19. I looked at the hot tub in person and it was everything that I was told it was before I got there. The salesperson was very friendly and answered all of my questions that I had about the Caldera Spas. The salesperson was not pushy at all. I ended up purchasing the same display model a few days later. Josh came to my house to perform a pre-delivery site survey and drop off the electrical service panel a few days after that. A couple of weeks later, the Hearthside Service team came to delivery my new hot tub and install all of the accessories on it. They were all very friendly and cleaned up after themselves prior to leaving. I have had a very positive experience with the purchase and delivery of my new Caldera Spa and highly recommend Hearthside Fireplace & Patio! I can also highly recommend the Service Team over at Hearthside as well. I have had a couple of issues with the my new spa, but that was to be expected as it was a display model and a couple of years old. The technician that comes here is very friendly and always leaves everything exactly as he found it and cleans up prior to leaving. I recently had an issue with the Topside Control Panel on my hot tub which was causing the hot tub to shutdown and the temperature has been below freezing. The heater was unable to operate due to the faulty control panel and I was worried that the water inside of the hot tub and plumbing would freeze leading to more problems. Hearthside was able to get a technician in within the same week to figure out what was causing the issue and what they needed to order. Hearthside then ordered the part and was back here to replace it only a couple of business days later. The hot tub is now good as new. I am very impressed with their service and response. Hearthside was able to expedite the shipping on the new part that I needed even during the COVID-19 pandemic and they were also able to get the technician back here to replace it as soon as it came in. When you are purchasing a new hot tub/spa you want to make sure that the dealer is going to service it after you purchase it as they are the ones that honor the manufacturer's warranty. I can safely say that Hearthside will service your hot tub and honor the manufacturer's warranty if needed. On the phone Josh was very patient and walked me through finding the part number for my combustion blower. It was in stock and reasonably priced. They even checked to make sure it was in stock. When I arrived my part was waiting for me on the counter. All the employees were wearing masks and distancing. Sharon was very helpful while ringing up my purchase. The only problem I had was removing the old fan blade. After 8 years in a furnace the Allen set screw had frozen. It may be helpful to suggest people purchase a new fan blade with the combustion blower. I was overall very pleased with the service, I was able to replace the blower and have heat the same day! I have wanted a gas fireplace insert for a while. I did a lot of research as I always do when making a large $$ purchase. Although opinions vary I found that Jotul was highly recommended. I went to En-R-Gy saver one Saturday morning. I loved the shop as it was staffed with people who had been there awhile and knew what they were talking about. It was refreshing to speak to people who weren't just trying to sell you someone but guiding you to the right product. I asked a lot of questions and the two ladies there were very patient and kind with me. I don't know if i would have been that patient with me! They said I wouldn't go wrong with a Jotul! I bought the Jotul and a few days later the installation team called to schedule to the install. They installed the gas insert in one morning and even cleaned the chimney that needed a cleaning. The did an amazing job and didn't leave so much as a piece of paper behind. My wife who was home at the time said they were great! I came home and although it was 90 degrees but I turned on the fireplace. It worked right away. Of course it heated up the room quickly and my wife told me to shut it off and asked me if I was insane, which is does at least 5 times a week. She hates when I play with my new toys but I try to ignore her. Anyway they are a great store with reasonable prices. I need a new gas grill next year and I will be shopping there first. Lee volunteered to do the research and to contact Webber directly. Received a call back from Lee within an hour. I purchased a wood burning fireplace insert and have been very happy with the entire process. My neighbor recommended this company after purchasing a wood burning insert a few years ago and has been very happy with the stove and installation process. My process of purchasing a wood burning stove went like this: I picked a stove that I liked from the showroom, and Josh from Hearthside came out and measured my fireplace. He informed me that the stove would not fit flush but could fit sticking out. He educated me of the cons of having the unit sticking out (I would need a hearth extension, and it would look "different" from the unit in the showroom). After seeing pictures of the unit "extended", my wife and I both decided we did not like the look of it. Josh then gave me suggestions for other units that would fit flush in my fireplace. I then looked at pictures of the other units, read reviews and decided on an insert that he suggested. I was still a little worried that it might not fit flush. I discussed it with Josh and he offered to make a card board model to ensure the unit fit. What great service!!! He also informed me that my wood mantel would be too close to the fire place and gave me an affordable solution. Once I decided on the unit Hearthside handled scheduling the installation which went very smooth and professional. The installers (Barry John Chimney Services) answered all my questions and ensured I was completely satisfied before leaving. They were very careful during the process and covered the carpet to make sure there was no mess. Finally Hearthside handled all the paperwork for the permit. They also gave me a 2 year, no questions asked warranty. I am looking forward to using the fireplace insert to supplement the furnace and save money on our heating bills. read more

Then to have the CSR acknowledge that when you're out of pellets they "as good as gold" is just an recognition that they can gouge you when you're in a bind. These guys are amazing! Let me give you some background. I know very little about fireplaces and I was doing a complete house remodel including switching an old decrepit wood fireplace to a gas direct vent. I had countless quotes for inserts, masonry chimneys, and direct vent fireplaces anywhere from 5,000-15,000. Then someone told me about En-r-gy Saver. Game changer. First they came to my house at no charge and measured the area. Then they made recommendations based on my interests. A couple of calls a couple of emails... And wa la. New direct vent fireplace. But it doesn't end there. I had a million questions, so many in fact that they recognized my voice when I called. Clearances, mantel sizes, entertainment system in the area, electrical switching, marble fronts, you name it. I called em weekly and they were awesome! Then they came out and hooked the whole thing up - for a fraction of what other people charged. All in all the whole thing cost me well under 4000 and it's gorgeous. To cap it off they come out and test it when your ready. All as part of the service. Jim is the man. There is very little he doesn't know. Josh is super friendly and is incredibly helpful.
