So we purchased a kayak pool about 8 years ago through ambassador pools. Our experience with them has always been professional and timely. But 8 years after i have a low flow error and cannot figure it out. I called 3 local pool stores and no one was even willing to help. So i said to myself let me call ambassador and see what they say. Talk to the owner he transferred over to gregg which i have dealt with in the past. 4 hours later after work gregg is at my house and fixed my problem at no cost. No cost that just doesnt happen anymore but with this family owned company it still does. 5 star in my opinion is not high enough. So here ill give them 6 stars. From day 1 ambassador has been nothing but amazing to work with! Sign up and they literally had material on site within 3 days. Pool is up in 6 hours, I kid you not. Issues may arise after a rough winter, but put a ticket in on their super easy website. And within almost minutes Greg is on the phone with you even way after hours. I had a very disappointing experience after contacting them they referred me to Dynamic Pools for above-ground pool service. From the start, I made it clear that this was an above-ground pool. I sent photos, provided my address, and paid the quoted $1,000 in good faith. Unfortunately, the communication and service were poor. I had to follow up repeatedly for updates, and on the occasions they came to work on the pool, they arrived very late, including after 9:00 PM and after 10:00 PM. Zack, Ryan and their workers all appeared unsure about the above ground pool system. ,Zach even admitted by text that he sent "2 guys in training" and that his workers were confused about what was going on. This matched what I observed, because neither him nor the so-called technicians appear to know which hoses or connections should be used for the above-ground pool system. After they claimed to have connected the filter and pump, which was purchased on June 23, 2025. The filter began leaking water and sand started accumulating in the pool. I sent photos and videos showing the leaking and the sand. I repeatedly asked what was causing the sand to enter the pool and whether the filter and return lines had been connected correctly, but I did not receive a clear or consistent explanation. Because the smaller filter was leaking and sand was entering the pool, I requested that the larger sand filter be installed, which is what I had asked for in the first place. Instead of providing a clear professional recommendation or solution, Zach later focused on the larger filter and stated that its manifold was cracked and that it was "junk" in its current condition. My concern is that if the larger filter needed a part, repair, or replacement, a qualified pool professional would have been able to identify that clearly and provide a proper recommendation before or during the service. Instead, the situation became more confusing, and I was left with conflicting explanations, no clear solution, and continued sand in my pool and water leaking from the brand new filter. Ryan later stated that because my equipment was "faulty and broken," the sand issue was not their problem, even though the smaller filter they actually connected was the one leaking and blowing sand into the pool. Zach also stated that a positive outcome may require "a little more work and money." Overall, I paid $1,000 and was left with sand accumulating in the pool, a leaking filter/system issue, inconsistent communication, very late arrivals, workers who appeared unprepared, and no clear resolution. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company for above-ground pool service. Shame on Ambassador Pools for using unprofessional tactics in advertising services that they do not provide. read more

Buyer Beware!! I held off posting this because the owner of Ambassador Pools told me he would take care of things back in July when we had a 12x24 Kayak salt water pool installed because we were very unhappy with the multiple lies that had been told to us by the Ambassador Pool Company. But it is now January and I reached back out to him in November and haven't heard back since. 1st Lie- The salesman said after we sign the contract and all the paperwork for the pool, all we would have to do is "BUY A NEW BATHSUIT". That's a lie because as the homeowner I had to get rid of all the boxes and trash left from the pool. I had to cut up tons of boxes, so I could consolidate them into many trash bags. Next, I had to get rid of the dirt they dug when they leveled the ground to install the pool. They left a huge mound that I had to move. Third, I had to buy the salt myself to finish setting up the pool. 2nd Lie- The salesman told me it was safe and completely fine to run the pool pump and salt generator on extension cords. Turns out I had a licensed electrician working on my house a couple days after the pool was installed and he told me that was EXTREMELY UNSAFE and he would not let his family swim in the pool till it was wired correctly and grounded. That cost me an additional $1800 that I was never told about. 3rd Lie-When I spoke to the owner of the company about this, he told me he would take care of it. He told me to not worry about anything. He told me to let him know how much the electrical was. I did and he said "well I'm looking over your paperwork and you signed the paper saying you would get the electrical installed because we don't do the electrical". This is true because I was told I could run the pool on extension cords. I would have never signed the paperwork if I knew it was a safety issue for anyone swimming in the pool. I care about my family's well being. 4th Lie- While we were signing the paperwork before the pool was installed we told the salesman we wanted the pool permitted. After the pool was installed and the licensed electrician said it was unsafe, he asked me how it passed inspection? He told me to call Ambassadors to get the permit number. When I called the permit office at Ambassadors, they "told me the salesman told them I DID NOT WANT A PERMIT for the pool"!!! This was a straight up lie, which caused days of stress trying to get the pool permitted after it had been installed. 5th Lie- When we were signing the pool paperwork and contract. The salesman said we could do deferred payments for the first 2 months because we had good financing. We said "perfect, we can use that money to buy pool stuff". We had the pool installed at the beginning of July. At the end of July we got our first bill for August. I called asking what happened to the 2 months of deferred payments, nobody could answer me. 6th Lie-The Owner of the company told me he would send me $700 which would equal the first two payments for the 2 months that were supposed to be deferred. It's January and I still have not seen that money. These were the major lies told to me from Ambassador Pool Company, but also during the installation I never received the reel to roll up the cover that I was promised when I bought the pool, it was supposed to be installed at the end of the pool The owner said that he doesn't like the reels anyways and was going to give me a loop loc cover for the winter. I've never had a pool before, but I asked around and people said they loved their loop loc covers so I said "okay". When it came to close my pool for the winter, I reached out to schedule getting the loop loc cover. They told me "I would have to pay to have it installed or I could come pick up the parts from the warehouse". You think after all the problems I've had the Ambassador Pool Company would have at least installed the cover for me. Nope, I had to go pick it up myself. This experience has really left me jaded. I didn't think buying a pool would be like buying a car from a sleazy salesman/company. I didn't think I would be taken this much advantage of. I did my research too before and still got taken advantage of so, please if you buy a pool from this company pay attention to every little detail. read more

I purchased a Kayak 16 X 24 pool from Ambassador Pools. I am extremely pleased with the pool and look forward to many years of fun, sun, relaxation, exercise and family gatherings. Let me share my experience. First, let me say that every Ambassador pool representative who interacted with me was extremely friendly, respectful, communicative, and helpful. Pat in sales thoroughly went through my options and pricing including discount opportunities. He was always available and responded right away to questions. Peter assisted me with my financing questions and concerns. He also reached out to the finance company to obtain answers to my questions. Brittany submitted my permit, coordinated the delivery of my materials and scheduled the installation and backfill. As a result, we emailed back and forth multiple times and she was always quick to respond and very helpful. The team who installed my pool was led by Chico who was absolutely amazing. He and his team are very experienced. The installation went very quickly. Chris backfilled the dirt surrounding the pool and was prompt and worked quickly as well. After the installation, I had questions and some troubleshooting needs. Greg in the Service department was very responsive and helpful as well. We had a big support system and felt in good hands throughout this experience. Ambassador Pools also provides helpful how to videos for maintenance to the pool, pump, and filter. Some points to note: As I stated, I purchased the 16 X 24 pool. It comes with an 8ft deck on one of the shorter sides. I added, for an extra cost, an 8ft deck along one long side. The pool has a 2ft perimeter deck on the other two sides. Therefore, the dimensions of the entire pool including decking is 26 X 34. I also chose to recess the pool. This is an extra cost and leaves 2 ft. above ground. I also paid extra to have a deep end. The pool is 4 ft. in the shallow end and 5-1/2 ft in the deep end. I was pleasantly surprised that the two corners in the deep end are raised up higher, so you have a shallow place to stand on if needed. I supplied my own stairs vs. a ladder. Ambassador Pools installed my stairs and placed the ladder in the deep end for an additional entrance/exit. Lastly, I chose to go with a salt generator vs. a traditional sand filter. We put eight 40 lb. bags of salt into the pool initially and the generator will let us know if more salt needs to be added. No need to add chlorine, algaecide, PH up, clarifier etc. I have not had to add any additional salt in the first month and a half that the pool has been running. The water has been crystal clear. I arranged and paid for 5 tons of sand to be delivered as well as one water truck to fill halfway to ensure the liner is spread out without wrinkles. Then, we filled the remaining water from our hose. We had to provide 12 X 12 concrete blocks. They are used underground to stabilize the deck posts and also for underneath the pump and filter. You are responsible for hiring an electrician to come and ground and bond the pool. The electrician will have to pull a permit. Be sure to assess the electrical needs for ALL of your pool options/accessories such as: bringing electrical to the pool site, having adequate voltage, and having a sufficient number of outlets. You are responsible for removing any excess dirt after the installation. I was not prepared for the amount of dirt that would be left over. I had a pile of dirt about 40' X 5' X 5'. I had originally planned to have the dirt moved to the back of my property by the back fill guy. However, the job was too big for his equipment. I contacted Ambassador Pools and spoke with Greg. He reached out to the installer, Chico, who had the required equipment. Chico agreed to move the dirt for a fee as long as he could fit me in between jobs. He was able to come out in a little over a week and moved all the dirt in less than two hours. He did such a great job! All in all, the process was pleasant but please realize that it does take time. The installation can be done in one day. However, all the prep work, permits, scheduling materials and deliveries, and waiting for each phase/team to do their part before the next phase can be completed does take some time. Don't go into this process thinking that you will have a pool within weeks. I started the process on March 31st. My pool was complete by June 17. Therefore, if you are looking to have a pool installed at the beginning of the summer season, you should reach out to schedule an appointment with sales mid-March. I absolutely love my pool and am very happy that I chose to go with an above ground recessed pool vs. an inground pool. It is truly the best of both worlds! No increase to your taxes, easier to repair, and moveable if you choose to take it with you at a later time. We are once again down to a one star for ambassador pools in Massachusetts. We were told to remove the filter from our pump and just let the pool run until the new cell system arrived. The team, as I am not using any names arrived at 7:30 AM I guess and the filter was sitting right next to the pump waiting for the new salt system to be added . New salt system added and filter left out next to the pump. New salt system haywire for days because it caused salt screen to catch debris shutting it down, also since it ran all day and evening with no filter all the filth and sediment was already past the filter. That was it. $375nothing else done. What about that list of things promised when opening and closing? Nothing was done that was listed as the services promised. Done with Ambassador Pools. Found someone who actually does what they put in writing! Due diligence is something they should look up in the dictionary. Our Kayak pool was purchased and installed almost two years ago by Ambassador Pools in MA. They promised an installation date, and were here with equipment and installation on that date. The install took a few days longer than expected, but I'm not complaining about 3 extra days for install. In-ground pools take months in comparison. The installers were professional and clearly knew what they were doing. The pump quit working after about a year but Ambassador was here within a day and replaced at no cost to me. Opening and closing the pool each season has been done very well and thoroughly by the onsite technicians. They show up on the agreed upon date and time. The pool has been so much fun! We had an Ambassador Pool installed last June and enjoyed it all last Summer! The process was exactly as presented by their sales representative, Dante! One day install! When he said the pool was low maintenance, he meant it!! The supplies arrived the day before and the next day the installation team arrived. We chose the saltwater, and the computer lets us know when we need more salt. Usually not needed for 6 months or more. If it gets cloudy, put a bag of shock in it and clean the small filter weekly and the large one monthly or so. That's it for maintenance. Amazing and well worth the price! Their customer service is top notch! Always called back in a timely manner and have taken care of any questions or issues we were having. They back their product! However, my railings are crooked and my floor is completely bumpy, like ridiculously bumpy with divots in it. He acted like it wasn't a big deal and is definitely lacking customer service skills but I moved on until now. I take the cover off of my pool yesterday (6/2/21) and the liner is falling off the wall! Their salesman was great, but after that things ran downhill. Spoke to the salesman on Monday. I received the docusign paperwork the next day and saw that they expect me to use my home as collateral! I called and was told, "that's just the wording the bank uses". No kidding...of course that's what they want. It was only 3 words in the contrast, "against your home". I signed my part, but my spouse didn't sign. I called Peter and cancelled. I asked for am email to acknowledge that the deal was cancelled. I didn't receive that. THEY CASHED MY CHECK... before the paperwork was ever finalized. Now it's been a week and I haven't received my money back and Peter won't call me back. This easily would have been a 5 star review if not for some minor issues that I feel should have been handled. First off, the pool is amazing!!!! Danny's crew did a great job installing this. My yard is not on a hill, but it's not even close to level. I was expecting it to be off slightly, but when they were done, I threw a level on it, and it was dead on balls. Very impressive. Danny knows his stuff about these pool, and it shows. We were not planning on having the pool installed until later in the year. We had 2 massive maples in the back that had to come down first and it was going to be a few weeks before we could get anyone out to even look and give me a price, and even then, we were told they weren't booking until mid July. When I told Danny this, he made a few calls, and found someone to take my trees down 5 days later!!!! And we paid 800$ less than what we had been quoted by the only company we had seen yet!!! They even grinded the stumps at that price!! ( full disclosure: the stumps were not properly grinded down all the way, so we had to move the location 7 ft over from our original spot) 1 week after the trees were down, the pool was installed. That's the good stuff... now for the minor issues I woudk recommend you bring up during negotiations. We purchased an additional staircase ladder from Danny. We paid $300 for it, and I found the exact one on Amazon for $250.. I didn't care, because they were also installing it. However, when they installed it, they didn't add enough sand, so the bottom kind of kicks out and puts the stairs at a slight angle... I told Danny and he suggested a fix, but I really feel they should have handled it. Now I need to unscrew the ladder from the deck so I can mount a sand bag to the bottom of the stairs. In the mean time. I'm very worried about the stairs tearing a hole in the liner because of the angle they are sitting at. Next minor issue was the cover. We paid $900 to upgrade to a loop lock cover (aka "elephant cover") I thought they would be installing the posts so it would be an easy close come winter, but I just had a box dropped off at the house... I will find someone to help me install them, but again, I feel this should have been handled. I'm actually glad I didn't purchase the water heater now, because I fear I would have had to install that too lol just kidding (I think...) i would highly recommend them to anyone who asked, and the pool is well worth the price. Just make sure you go over all the small details you might be able to think of, and get it on writing. I will certainly update this review if anything changes. Good or bad Update**** 8/3/18 Its 830 Friday night and Danny just left here close to 30 minutes ago. He personally came over with another crew member and installed all the posts for the elephant cover. He instructed me how to install it, and he even brought a fix for the ladder with a bad angle!!! When we spoke, a day after I left my review, we decided to touch base early next week. I had absolutely no idea he would get all this taken care of so quickly. Here's the thing... when your doing a job this big, customers are bound to be extremely picky. There is no way that everything will be perfect. What makes a company succeed, is their ability to correct any mistakes, in a timely manner. No more than 24 hours after we spoke, the owner personally shows up, ready to work and fix fix the issues... I'm blown away!!! Danny, thank you for your response to my concerns, and thank you for making things right so quickly. I have zero doubt that if I run into an issue 8 years from now, I can call Danny and he will do whatever it takes to make it right!!! Dont waste your money on some 15k frameless pool from namco. Not at all impressed. I called to schedule a home visit for the install of a pool. Set a time for today and got a text yesterday saying "we're definitely coming". 30 minutes pass by our appointment time and no call or anything. I called them and after speaking to someone I got a call back from Anthony the regional sales manager. He said the rep had car troubles and they had to reschedule. At this point I'm just annoyed and not impressed with their initial impression. I told him I wasn't interested anymore because they were already late and I had to reach out to them to see what the issue was. He seriously said "ok sir thanks" and hung up the phone! when we decided to get a pool we called Ambassador. Danny came out and explained everything to us. He was very knowledgeable and was not pushy. Before he left we decided on the pool. We had a very old build in pool that we did not want to keep. Danny and his crew came in and filled the hole. In May the pool was put in and we were swimming in it by June. Yesterday we had our pool installed on 75% on June 22 , today they promise to show up but they didn't . no payment has been made in full so until the crew is here and finish the job no pay,ent will be made. the crew was working really hard yesterday to assemble the walls and a half of the railings the fence in the lining however no electrical equipment have been installed yet . after calling numerous times to all phone numbers that I had no response was received . both my husband and I have been trying to call them . but no luck . this lunchtime today I'm playingTo make a special trip to the office in Canton. hopefully they'll be a positive outcome from this visit . I am very pleased with my experience with Ambassador! I've had some minor issues (some self inflicted!) but the owner, Dan, always answers the phone and always provides resolution. When we decided to buy a house we had two wants, a big garage and a pool. We got a four car garage which made my fiancè happy... but no pool! So when I saw a coupon for a survey of the yard for a pool I quickly jumped on it. Dave arrived and we talked for a few hours. By the time he left he had us hook, line and sinker. We knew where the pool was going to be in the yard, the price and the warranty. Ambassador/ Kayak pools stand by their products. We know this because the liner has a 17yr warranty and the pool has a 30yr warranty. Although, I wanted an in-ground pool, I was very happy to hear that I could get a semi-inground pool and not put a hole in my pocket. Also, no tax increase on our home. I'm not going to lie we had a few glitches here and there. The rain prevented us from digging. The delivery of the pool came a bit later than expected. So, I contacted Ambassador and spoke with Peter. It was refreshing to not get the run around like most companies give you. He was honest which made our purchase decision that much better. We had the salesmam come out to our home to give us a onsite quote. He did a great job with the presentation. We liked what we saw. We asked if we could think about it and give a deposit at a later time. We were told no cause he didn't want to drive back to get it. Really in this day and age I can't call and give a deposit over the phone? That was our first red flag but he said our deposit could be refunded up until our pool was ordered. This put us at ease and decided to go forward. Then we read in fine print that refund was only good for 3 days. When I asked about that he just crossed it out and wrote refundable on receipt. Red flag number 2! After reviewing our budget we realized we could not afford it. Tried calling, texting salesmam and called the main office about the refund and no one would call me back. Third and final red flag! I'm glad I put a stop payment on my check cause who knows if I would have lost my deposit. read more

Terrible Terrible TERRIBLE!!!!!!! Can't review their product, since I didn't get anything. Waisted an hour waiting for salesperson to show up to appointment, 45 minutes into waiting, I texted to ask where they were. I got a phone call, from a different number. Person was an ass. I eventually hung up on them. They called me back with an even worse attitude. Gonna try somewhere else. You should too. read more

So far so good. I purchased the pool at the end of the season last year and it was installed in October 2017. Of course I had to take a polar plunge since it looked so inviting but was so very VERY frigid. Rich installed the pool and I enjoyed working with him. We had a few minor hiccups that were easily rectified and the pool looks amazing. I opened the pool this week, Wednesday 5/23/18 and noticed an issue with the liner the next day. Called Danny Thursday night and explained the issue. Although it is a holiday weekend and a very busy time of year, he came out to my house 24 hours after my initial call and fixed the problem. I am looking forward to spending this weekend and many many more enjoying this beautiful pool. read more
