Great tasting omelette, cheese mushroom and a big one. Service was great along with the hash-browns. Food came out quick.

In the heart of the Adirondacks, it was a pleasure to come to this full-service diner with a deep menu and an attentive wait staff. Whether you choose to order right off the menu or customize your meal, this place gets it right. The coffee cups don't ever go empty and there is enough variety to please just about anyone.

Very affordable and homey diner/cafe. Stopped in with my little family after leaving old forge! The service was unbelievably great with one waitress who was attentive to every table. She made sure we were doing okay with our experience & drinks were never empty. Also patient with our 2 year old daughter & gave her some crayons and a coloring book. The food was good! My fiancé ordered a meat lovers omelet, my daughter had French toast & I had a turkey club. They serve breakfast and lunch from 6am-1:30pm if I can remember right which was a plus because I wasn't really feeling to eat any breakfast at the time we went. Great little place! Stop by if you happen to pass it!

This is the first stop entering the western Adirondack Mountains. It's a cabin style restaurant with good food for breakfast and lunch. The coffee is good, too, and the owners are very nice. This place is clean and comfortable.

The exterior is misleading & easy to pass by if you're not in the know - don't let it fool you! Breakfast is only served on weekends between 8 AM & 1 PM & we just happened to be there. Service was extra warm & welcoming - we had our pup with us & it was a not so great weekend weather wise & while we offered to order & sit outside at a table as to not disrupt other diners, they managed to put us in their back room so no one had to eat out in the cold (Pepper can't write her own review, but she says thank you, two paws up!) While the menu is small, one item is better than the next & you can't go wrong no matter what you choose! Prices are reasonable for everything you get & in today's economy, it's a rare find! The apple pancakes were to die for & honestly, the biggest pancakes I've ever seen! Fresh biscuits with maple butter (YUM!) Don't pass up on the extra creamy & delicious chocolate milk! Seriously - can I get an IV drip of that? This place is the embodiment of farm to table (obviously). Zero frills, but full authenticity of a working farm. Wonderful place & wonderful people. They have lots of their goods for sale too, so you can take Buck Hill Farm home with you! We bought their delicious bourbon maple syrup, fresh herbal tea, hot sauce, & took some ribs back to the house to grill for Father's Day! Plenty of full & happy bellies even after leaving the farm. After breakfast, swing by the chicken coop & thank the ladies for the delicious eggs! LOL We hope to visit again next time we are in the area!

First, I made the rookie mistake of popping by Keyes on a Sunday morning in the fall. The place…read morewas packed, there was a line - but I scored a counter seat right off, and placed my order for a biscuit with gravy, some corned beef hash, and a coffee. This would end up costing my $17 and change, expensive and not a good value. The food was served cold, clearly not made in house, and service was indifferent at best. Go someplace else, like one of the restaurants in Inlet, about 5 miles up canyon. Getting wait staff attention for some coffee was the first challenge and indication of the pending experience. The food took over 45 minutes to come out, even for such a simple order, and the 2 times I was able to grab attention for a coffee refill really felt like I was imposing on someone. The gravy arrived cold - not "was on the warmer for a while" cold, but "we just got this out of the walk-in" cold, and returned from a brief trip through a shower of microwaves barely warmed. The corned beef hash was clearly scooped out of a can on to the grill and was a small portion for the price. All while while trying to inject myself between wait staff and their indifference to get coffee, check, warmed gravy, water refill, etc. 7 minutes after leaving I drove past a few restaurants in Inlet, with less crowding and looking just as quaint as Keyes. I'll try there next time I'm through this area. Definitely not Keyes!
