Season is a staple in the community. On a random my landlord asked me to pick up a bag of lime for the garden. I haven't done much gardening since leaving Long Island. As I normally do, I sought the help of Yelp. Yelp revealed quite a new local places and I decided on Seasons. Once I arrived, I promptly greeted by a nice gentleman. I could be wrong but it seems as if Season is a seasonal establishment; no pun intended. I met the owner, a nice lady who was eger to make sure I was able to walk away with what I needed. As it turned out, not many customers are asking for lime this time of the season and so what I needed was not readily available. The owner had to go into storage for me to get gardening lime. Seasons is such an unexpected jewel I stumbled upon in bed-stuy. When I first walked by I saw a woman speaking to some customers. When I walked in I was so so impressed. She has a great personality and makes you feel incredibly welcomed from the moment you enter. The ambiance is very comfortable. This isn't your generic lowes or home depot garden center. The owner can explain every plant in this garden center to a T. I took a walk around for 45 minutes before I could make up my mind on what to purchase. Everything was so beautiful! Leaves, flowers plants so well cared for and most of all everything is reasonably priced. I was able to buy a little aloe vera plant for only $10 ! I love to look at wonderful plants but I won't lie, I don't have the greenest thumb. I specifically walked in to find something which didn't need too much attention just a little water here and there and would naturally flourish on its own without too much work on my part. I like seasons for many reasons... The owner Deb has such expert knowledge in the products she's selling, she makes personal orders and can put pots, window boxes you name it together at your request! She's helpful, friendly, and you can immediately tell she LOVES what she's doing here. Seasons isn't just a summer pop up spot, I look forward to being able to buy my Christmas tree, wreathes and accessories from her. I was impressed that she told me in October she will be selling pumpkins, November Christmas trees... This will be my absolute holiday stop over. I dont know about anyone else but i rather support a small local business than a big chain ANY DAY This place is well worth the travel, stop by meet the owner and take a look around you absolutely won't regret the trip! Amazing experience and I know why season has 5 star reviews! We special ordered a tree and Deborah worked with us via text, phone calls to make sure we get the tree we want. The outcome is EXACTLY what we were looking for- just like the image I sent her! JC delivered the tree and gave us helpful tips on how to maintain it. He even gave us pointers on the other plant we had. It is obvious they love what they do and super enthusiastic about plants. I visited this place with a friend and the customer service was super great and the selection was ok, but things were kind of all over the place, especially in the greenhouse. There were a couple cactuses and aloe plants that had been tipped over on the shelves and were coming out of the plastic containers. There was overflown dirt on the shelves and the setup was pretty haphazard. Wanted to Love because of all the good reviews but was a little disappointed. The prices were high, and we were shocked because it only has one dollar sign on yelp. I got a tiny cactus and I love it to bits, but it was pretty expensive for a cactus its size. read more

I made it out here on a super hot summer day to get some indoor plants. The woman who runs the place was really helpful and made sure I had all the things I needed to take care of my new plants! It's a gorgeous little nook in a quiet, residential neighborhood and overflows with plant life from every angle. I did have some trouble with the plant I bought based on the directions she gave, so I looked it up and got more specific directions of how to take care of my needer-than-expected plant. Ms. Deborah and JC were extremely helpful and they have given me an education about my yard but also gave me the confidence and vision on what can be done. I had years of debris that piled up in my back yard and he cleaned out the yard and tilled the soil. I need to bring up my water line in order to maintain my garden but he put down weed tarp to prevent weeds from growing. I can not wait until we work on the design of the yard early next year. I went Sunday to purchase my Christmas Tree,which should've been pleasant. The entire time a Staff was assisting me, I hear him being called from the back, constantly! I presumed by the Owner. This was very nerve racking and disruptive as I felt rushed. I'm sure I didn't hear this while "other " customers were being waited on. This place is the BEST. We go there for our herbs and tomatoes every year. Really nice selection. There were seriously 5 different flavors of mint....two types of oregano, and like at least three different types of thyme. Also basil, rosemary, chives, you name it. It's amazing. She definitely pays attention to what is in season too, and if you don't see something you need, always ask. It may be ready the following week. Very nice selection of indoor and outdoor plants, herbs, seeds, vegetable plants and fruit bearing plants. I've been meaning to stop by for some time and was on my way back from getting some coffee so I stopped in with my pup and hubby. Deborah the owner was so kind and had just harvested some orange and chocolate mint and gave it to us, just for coming. She was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. They also have a nice selection of pots and vases. While inside I saw some adorable butterflies that had found their way inside. The owner told me that she even get all sorts of birds to come inside her green house lol. I left with a rather large container of $12 organic fertilizer for my indoor herbs and house plants... I think they will be happy with what mommy is bringing home to them! I will definitely be back! I highly recommend this great green local business. read more

In a last minute flurry to be a respectable Southern daughter for my mom's visit, I was calling around on a Sunday evening trying to find anyone who was open who would deliver some mums to my house that very evening. Everywhere I called was either closed, were complete morons who had to put me on hold for 15 minutes in order to figure out what size they had in stock (Home Depot), or were not able to deliver on such short notice. Thirty minutes before Seasons closed, I called in desperation, and Deborah said she had some in stock and could deliver. I was a little outside of her delivery zone, so the added fee was completely reasonable, and her prices for the plants were also fantastic. She even texted me photos of the plants beforehand so I knew what I was getting! She showed up promptly after she closed down the store and was as warm and friendly as could be. And the mums themselves are lovely. Thanks Deborah! I am (and my mom will be) very pleased. I definitely hope to visit the garden center itself and see what else I can buy to beautify my home. read more

The selection wasn't the greatest but it may have been because it was a week after Mother's Day.
