The nurses are top notch, and always kept me apprised of changes in his health and any recommendations they had to improve his care. Special thanks to Craig who primarily provided my father's care in his last weeks. They provided a full range of services including nursing, social workers, a chaplain, volunteers, and even music therapy. My father had Type 1 diabetes which made his care more complicated but they did a great job handling the challenges diabetes can present. Traditions Health's team also did a wonderful job navigating the intricacies of healthcare and communication between the memory care facility where my father was at, his primary care physician, and me. I always felt updated and involved and never had a question go unanswered. They treated my father with great respect and care and I always felt he was getting the best care he possibly could. On top of all that their compassion was unmatched. I have nothing but gratitude for their services during such a difficult time in my and my father's life.

Every team member demonstrated this compassion; from the bathing aid (Ronnie), nurse and case worker (Anastasia), social worker (Sandie), Admissions Director (Gaza), to the Bereavement Coordinator (Nathan). Please forgive me for other team members that I didn't have the honor of meeting in person but I thank you as well. This team constantly updated me on my dad's condition and made sure I was well informed as to what to expect next. I don't know how the owner (Joey) accomplished such a feat of finding an entire team with compassion, but I am thankful that he did. We never had a need for supplies or equipment, and when a team member made a suggestion for different supplies or equipment it was immediately executed. Below are OFFICIAL findings directly from the FINAL report by the California Department of Public Health (Complaint Number 2641478), which indicated that Compassionate Care was being investigated based on multiple serious complaints within a short period of time -- yet it continues to misrepresent the findings by the Department of Public Health. If they spent as much time combating negative reviews by their customers and fabricating disinformation as they do on patient care, maybe they wouldn't have so many one-star reviews to begin with. "The initial plan of care, updated plans of care, initial assessment, comprehensive assessment, updated comprehensive assessments and clinical notes - This STANDARD is NOT MET as evidenced by: Based on record review and staff interviews, the hospice failed to ensure completion of clinical record to reflect the family member's concern regarding a change in the patient's condition. This failure created the potential for not having the patient's current condition to provide necessary care and services for the patients. " "Signed copies of the notice of patient rights in accordance with Section 418.52 and election statement in accordance with Section 418.24 - This STANDARD is NOT MET as evidenced by: Based on staff interview and record review, the hospice failed to ensure the written addendum showing diagnoses and non-covered items was completed with the actual date completed/provided to the patient/family member... Read the above for yourself and see if you believe the official report found no deficiencies as asserted by Compassionate Care. There is a clear lack of ethics and humanity toward their patients. A simple phone call or email to the grieving family with an apology would have been a good start, and yet they are incapable of admitting their shortcomings and chose to fabricate results of the findings. I urge anyone considering Compassionate Care to contact the California Department of Public Health regarding the complaints and think hard about whether you would want this organization to care for your family member during their last moments.

I told the hospital nurses that I wanted him home the next day. st Jude Hospice stepped in and made everything happen. My husband was home mid day on Friday and all equipment was already delivered. Nursing care was at the home waiting for him. The care provided was professional, caring and loving. The staff brought a level of calmness to the family. We contacted this place and only signed because the in-take nurse was so kind and helpful during the process. Sadly that was the only good thing. This hospice only cares about saving $. One package of wipes per week - even though more was necessary. I had to threaten legal action to get pain meds for my mother when she developed shingles 10 days before her death. This hospice would send our different nurses each week - I later found out they hired temporary nurses from an agency because good nurses wouldn't work for Mario and his friend in Human Resources. Very poorly run company with no real oversight from their corporate offices. Would never recommend this heartless place for anyone who has loved ones in need of hospice care. PS - the one good nurse quit. Sadly my mother passed before we could switch hospices.

Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

I came in specifically because I was feeling unwell and suspected a blood sugar issue--especially since lab work from a different clinic the prior week showed a fasting glucose level high enough to indicate diabetes. Despite explaining this, the Physician Assistant (PA) dismissed my concerns, told me I "didn't fit the profile" for diabetes, and ordered a thyroid panel instead. Three days later, the support staff called to tell me they lost my blood sample and needed me to come back in. When I expressed frustration that they lost my sample for a test I didn't even ask for--while still refusing to run the metabolic panel I actually needed--the staff member literally hung up on me. I only returned the next day because it is within walking distance of my house and I was having the same feeling again, wanting to get to the bottom of what was happening. While the PA on duty that day was attentive, she ended up sending me to the ER for my blood pressure. After waiting four hours at the hospital, the ER doctor confirmed it wasn't an emergency at all. To top it all off, I received another call from the urgent care informing me that they did eventually run a metabolic panel, and my A1C and fasting glucose levels are, in fact, indicative of diabetes. Between the PA completely dismissing a patient's concerns, the staff losing blood samples, and being hung up on, the lack of professionalism and competence here is alarming. Go somewhere else.

He let me know that if the copay for my medication at CVS was too high, I could call the office and he would gladly prescribe an alternative that was more affordable. The two ladies helping me with that process were great, they were very helpful in explaining things. I was seen quickly, within 10-15 minutes of my arrival. Sergio helped with taking my vitals and noting my symptoms. He repeated my blood pressure test after the first one was pretty high. He encouraged me to relax in between and breathe deeply. Of course, the second reading was better. He was very professional and compassionate! I saw Dr. Victor Nekrasov, who did a thorough examination and discussed the symptoms I've been having. I felt that his questions were good, and I did not feel rushed at all during my time with him. He prescribed a few meds, and I was on my way. They confirmed which pharmacy I preferred, and I opted for CVS located across the street. I was encouraged to return to the clinic and/or follow up with my PCP if symptoms did not improve. It was a very good experience overall, and I would not hesitate to return or recommend this facility to others.

Season's Hospice and Palliative care of Orange are the best. I can't thank these compassionate, caring, loving team of people enough. When the doctors at the hospital told us to take our loved one home, that nothing else could be done. We were like what do we do now, where do we go from here. We were asked if we had heard of palliative/hospice care and we said no. We were referred to Season's Hospice and Palliative Care in Orange. We met with Leanne Harrison (hospice care consultant) and our journey started there. She was amazing, one of the nicest people you could meet. She walked us through everything from finding the right care home to the best comfort care you could ask for. She was always available for us from beginning to end. She was truly a blessing and our rock. Leanne you're the best! I would also like to express my deep gratitude and appreciation to the doctors and nurses. Especially Andrea Tim's nurse, who has a heart of gold and was their for Tim every step of the way. Also Heather the social worker who was their for us as was all of Season's staff. With the continuous care the last couple of days of Tim's life, Season's turned a very sad time into a very peaceful time. The staff went above and beyond. Best Hospice in Orange County. Team is compassionate. Care above and beyond from what we seen in the past from other family members with another hospice company. Music therapy program was new to us and amazing. my mom enjoyed her. Home care experience turned into a spa like experience. The nurse that bathe mom was exceptional. So much love and attention given to my mom. They were never in a hurry each member of the team contributed a great amount of time with us since the first visit Great collaboration and communication from the team. If I could give this company zero stars I would. Steer clear…read moreof them. My mom is in her final days of stage 4 neck and soft palate cancer. She is in a lot of pain so I just wanted her out of pain no matter what medication she needed just get her comfortable. I had one director come in to assess her, then assigned a nurse and lvn once a week to take her vitals and monitor her care. From day one over a month ago my mom doesn't sleep maybe more than 30 minutes at a time two or three times a day because she is only 66 and very anxious about dying and leaving me and my sister behind which is understandable. When I had a crisis and she was in excruciating pain I would call them and they would just keep telling me to up her morphine until I had to actually give it to her every hour. When I asked for help in giving her something that would help her pain for longer than an hour so we could both get some sleep they gave her ambien which didn't do anything for her pain just made her drowsy. My mom already had a high tolerance against hydrocodone because she had been taking it over a year since her first surgery, so that was just like giving her a shot of tequila. When I started asking for help because I had no sleep in days they said find a caregiver to help and it's about 20.00 an hour. I did not want to place my mom's medication of morphine, hydrocodine,Ambien, Xanax, and fentanyl patch in the hands of a non licensed stranger they said well that's why you are off of work on fmla to care for your mom we can't give her 24 hr care because she is still up walking around! The nurse Valerie actually argued with me for an hour when I told her my mom needs me to be there 24/7 because if she misses a dose she ends up in lots of pain and then really can't think straight to give her self proper meds and she fell twice. She was only authorizing 2 days a week for 3 hours when I asked them to sign my fmla paperwork, she only met my mom once on the very first couple of days I put her in hospice and never offered to stay for another day to see the care she needed. Dr came to see her no hello ,no introduction. Wanted to know why i was giving her a lot of morphine and they were only bringing me tiny bottles every two days so they put her on hydro morphone because he said the rose pharmacy was complaining they were running out of morphine!! Are you kidding me! I even had to put on a new higher dose 100mcg fentanyl patch when it came on my own and start giving her this other medication I knew nothing about which got my mom sick. I finally found real help that came down right away assessed my mom put her on a new medication routine with morphine that was working and gave me 24 hr nurses to help to monitor her for 4 days to make sure it was working and she was comfortable and told me to get some sleep. I have fired this company and all they cared about was picking up their paperwork and doing a medicine count. They also tried to get my mom to sign a revocation form taking her off of hospice care when all i was doing was transferring her not discontinuing her. They did not pick up their bed and supplies the same day as they said they would now my mom has two hospital beds in her small living room! I am so thankful for Brookdale hospice my mom isn't in pain and I actually got help in learning how to give her all these meds at the best times and intervals when I was just guessing before and afraid I was going to make her sick or overdose her. They all showed compassion and would call or text updates after each visit. I have to say that we were especially grateful and touched with Antonette. She was available to meet me when she visited our aunt on the last day of her life, and later that evening she was with her after she passed. She treated our family member like one of her own and that means so much to us. We know how difficult hospice care is but thankful that we had such a positive experience with Crown Care.

Once we got the consistent care, thank you sooooo much to nurse Lisa (a Godsent) the nurses were great. Then the second night they said they didn't have a nurse for us. Nurse Ray volunteered to stay an extra 4 hours but she pushed and got someone here at 10:00. Nurse Brandy was here, thank God. About 2:15 in the morning she checked my Grammy and woke my mom to let her know Grammy was passing. Can you imagine if they didn't send a nurse like they were initially going to do? Hospice is meant for a peaceful and painless transition and a peace of mind for loved ones. The service themselves provided none of that. As a matter of fact their social service person called this morning, the day after her passing, asking when would be a good time to come and meet my Grammy. This was so heartbreaking and the best they can do is "sorry!" Do not put a loved one through this.

When I called for help or a question, I quickly received what I needed. Medications, durable medical equipment, incontinence supplies all arrived when needed. The nurses were able to work with the physicians to get changes to orders faster than I expected. I really appreciated the support they gave us and they made my husband as comfortable as possible during his last few weeks.
