Worst company ever so not use this company for your loved one my dad came home from the hospital an hour later from his scheduled time I called the nurse that was supposed to be there with my dad and she said "I'm off the clock now so I'm going home " I called the company after 3 calls I got and answer saying they will send someone after almost an hour the other nurse called to say I'm outside but I see the ambulance I'm assuming the patient died Worst company ever there service team dropped off my dad at our house knowing he was already dead . read more

My mother and wife passed away several months ago today. From my family and i, thank you for finding California Post Acute in Lynwood for hospice for her. They were all really wonderful to my mother, fathers wife, and us. Our family was able to be with her. All the hospice staff and nurses were friendly, sweet and kind, and very attentive. It made a hard situation a bit easier for our family. We all shared that it was a nice place we were all pleased. I have taken them a thank you card for letting them know. I would 100% recommend Butterfly Hospice Care. From the first nurse who came to do the initial assessment on my dad to the last nurse who took his vitals after his passing they were empathetic, kind, and professional. Our first nurse EJ gave me comfort in knowing that they'd be there for our dad and to support us in his last days. He immediately ordered oxygen and meds to help my dad be comfortable -delivery was made at night within hours to our home. Our RN Jennifer was always a phone call away. She'd frequently call to check in and called one time and said she'd stop by for a few minutes and stayed almost 45 minutes to make sure my dad was as comfortable he could be in his state. We've had an extremely bad experience with my dads primary care physician ( part of a different group) but Butterfly Hospice Care helped us regain trust that there are people out there that do care for patients and are dedicated to helping families through their loved ones end of life. Very close friend of mine just lost her mother while under the care of this agency. Grossly negligent. The days leading up to her mother's death she was extremely uncomfortable, agitated and breathless. My friend's family was calling me for advice due to my experience of having my own mother in hospice and my medical background. I can't believe a hospice agency wouldnt provide some sort of comfort medication to a dying patient. This woman was at the end of her life and they had a nurse coming once every 7 days and the day of her death it took over 2 hours for the nurse to actually arrive and declare her dead. What a f**kn joke. It's businesses like this that traumatize families and these are the memories they will hold on to forever watching their mother take her last breath suffering, so much for dying in dignity and comfort. This agency should not be accredited or licensed by any government office. And they certainly shouldn't be getting paid from any insurance company. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. read more

My cousin is under the care of the OC facility. I have been calling since yesterday (7/23) and not once have I gotten someone to go to the house. We were given 7145879077 as the emergency number to call and never got a call back or a nurse to come. On Friday when he was supposed to have a nurse there, the nurse called stating they had gotten into a car accident and didn't send anyone else to cover. We just called the ambulance to take him. He's in hospice because he has terminal colon cancer and he's at the stage where he should have a 24/7 LVN at home. I know this because my father is also in hospice. It is horrible to see someone terminally ill suffer and not have the support that hospice is supposed to offer 24/7. read more

My mother was diagnosed with colon cancer that had spread and we were told by the hospital doctor that her time was limited. It was a very hard time for me and my family to come to terms with it. The hospital sent me 3 different hospice companies, but Butterfly Hospice did not disappoint. When she came home the nurse from hospice was already at my house and she was amazing. She was so calm and reassuring. The way she spoke to my mother and helping her was amazing. On the day she passed I was able to get a hold of a nurse quickly to come and see my mother. The same day medications were updated with the doctor to keep her comfortable. This company treated my mother as a human being from the day she was in hospice until she passed peacefully. I would recommend this company to my family and friends any day. read more

I can't say enough positive things about this company. From the beginning the entire staff had been compassionate and attentive towards my grandfather's needs. His RN, Lidia was amazing and took her explaining anything we had questions about. She was never rushing and always was kind and respectful while entering our home. Butterfly hospice goes above and beyond. They were able to have my grandma transported home from the hospital. All of the Equipment was delivered before she got home including a hospital bed. The nurses were so helpful and informative about services. We had 2 nurses and a bath aid. As well as social worker and chaplain visits. The amount of support received by the team was overwhelming. read more

This hospice is incompetent and careless. Don't let them fool with you with their initial calls, in which they act as if they care so much about helping you. Once you commit, it's a complete disaster. Here are some examples: They arranged transfer of my dad to a facility but didn't make sure the pharmacy got his medications until over 24 hours after his check in. This was only because the facility and I had a meltdown calling them. They had no idea. 1st day- nurse visite and doesn't call as I was told she would (and doesn't follow up on his meds) 2nd day- nurse shows up at our home to visit him when he's in a facility. 3rd day- my dad dies. They ask if we had mortuary plans when we had already filled out all the forms and info. Further more, no one ever called with condolences. But what was worse , someone called three days after my dad died asking if he wanted to speak to a spiritual or religious leader to provide comfort. The hospital (southern caifornia hospital in Culver City) refused to work with the hospice we wanted And pushed butterfly in us. It was a disaster from beginning to end. read more
