I ordered a Seat Concept seat for my dual sport motorcycle and when it arrived, I was excited to have a more comfortable seat than the factory saddle. After installing the seat and taking a ride I was disappointed in the comfort. I rode the bike a few more times hoping it would break-in and become more comfortable to no avail. I had a friend that has a Seat Concept seat test it out and he agreed something was clearly wrong with the seat. I called customer service and explained the situation and they agreed they would accept it back and inspect the new seat. The customer service was good, and they contacted me within a few days and stated there was a problem with the padding and they corrected the seat and sent it back to me. When I installed the "corrected seat" and rode the bike I was disappointed yet again. My factory seat was much more comfortable than the Seat Concepts model. When I called them to return the second seat and request a refund, they stated it was pasted the return window which is only 45 days. Therefore, after a great deal of time and aggravation swopping seats, speaking to customer service, and mailing back the defective product, I am stuck with a non-functioning $300+ seat. To say I am disappointed is a gross understatement, especially as a returning customer. My next seat purchase will be a Corbin, Sargent, or Mustang. Shame on you Seat Concepts! read more

9 weeks since I ordered a KTM 690 low seat and nothing to show for the $480 I've spent. Seat Concepts were happy to charge me immediately but don't consider customer service a priority. I've had no updates or responses to e-mails whatsoever. I'd avoid and look at the plenty of alternatives out there that value their customers. read more

Just received my seat. Price I thought was very fair, for a custom seat. I have a KTM525exc. The quality of the seat seems to be excellent, being I've only had it for a couple days. I went for a weekend trip and rode around a 100 miles off road, and the difference between the SC seat and stock seat was night and day, definitely an upgrade to the bike. I highly recommend this company, especially if you have a KTM. The only negative I can say is that it was about 1-1/2 months from the time of order until delivery, however, they were very upfront about lead time and actually delivered prior to the projected date (by the way my bike is an '07). Thank you Seat Concepts for making my ride more comfortable, excellent product. read more

I just received my seat for my drz 400.. I ordered a tall and I'm glad I did .. I haven't tested it in the dirt yet but the added height makes it so much easier to squat or stand .. I noticed the difference immediately in how much better I'm positioned on the bike and how much less pressure is on my knees as I stand. I'm 6'3" so my knees were always like I was squatting before I stood up.the seat is hands down more comfortable on your behind but adding the height makes it infinitely better. For those of you who are tall I highly recommend that tall seat, so inversely if you are shorter that low may be just as well for you as the tall tall is for Me. Worth every penny! read more

I just bought a Seat Concepts seat, ($300), for my new 2020 KTM. The cover on this new seat was rather loose and the stitching appeared to be of questionable quality. I contacted SC Customer Service, sent them pictures and video. I was given the run around, despite them admitting that sometimes the ribbed covers don't come out quite right. They wanted me to ship the seat back to them so that they could inspect it. Fair enough, but when I indicated to them that I did not really want to not be able to ride my motorcycle for 3 weeks while they decided if they would fix the seat, they wanted to sell me a new one, while they "inspected" the current one. I believe the right thing for them to do in this case would have been to ship me a new, properly covered seat, and then I could ship them back the bad one. When I finally agreed to send the bad seat back, the customer service person, (name withheld), did not send me a shipping tag, as he stated he did, and also failed to answer my last communication, inquiring where this shipping tag was. Seat Concepts obviously does not care about the individual consumer. Apparently they are big enough now that the little guy doesn't matter anymore. In any case, I bought a seat from them 5 years ago for another motorcycle that was made properly and is still in great shape. I just bought my last Seat Concepts product, and will no longer recommend to other riders. There are a number of other good seat products out there. Good luck!! read more

This past Spring I got a new 2020 Yamaha WR250R. Love everything about the bike - except the seat! I could not ride for more than 45 minutes without the seat becoming very uncomfortable. I will admit, I don't have buns of steel, but I'll tell ya, that seat was horrible!! ;) I heard good things about Seat Concepts, so I placed an order. After a reasonable wait (due to the pandemic), I received a beautiful new, complete seat. Installed it immediately and it's wonderful! Very comfortable, and sooo much better than the original! And it looks fantastic, too - every bit as good as the stock seat. I'm very thankful for companies like Seat Concepts - without which, I would regularly have a very very sore butt! ;) ;) Now if only it were Summertime where I live in Pennsylvania.... I couldn't stand the stock seat on my Yamaha FZ-09 for several reasons: diving to the tank, uncomfortable after 1.5-2 hours in the saddle, and general generic look/shape(imho) Most (99%) of all FZ-09 owners can attest to how bad the stock seat is. Stear clear of the Sargent brand seat - I purchased it from Revzilla and it doesn't solve any of those issues and has less foam than stock, your ass goes str8 to the plastic base. Very very very uncomfortable, I returned it immediately - honestly just put a piece of plywood on your stock seat and you will have a sargent. I quickly ordered a Seat Concepts GP Seat with the Gripper Top and carbon accents&tail. OMG the seat is amazing!! soooo good!! The slope issue is gone completely, no more hugging and diving to the tank. The foam is incredible, supportive, not too firm but not too soft, and you can move around still with the gripper top in the canyons(I live in Northern CA and ride aggressively on the street and in tight twisties - mix of smooth roads and very rough roads, I didn't buy this bike to "cruise") The gripper is a perfect balance between stability-comfort-maneuverability. The shop where I purchased my '16 FZ was blown away by how great it looks on the bike and the quality and comfort (tech took it out for a ride) One week later my friend who manages the shop informed me he partnered with SC for his customers seat needs, both street and dirt bikes. in my opinion the Corbin has an ugly wavy stitch pattern so that is out, and my SC seat was only $300!! Tahat is a complete seat with base ready to go, custom built and ultra high quity foam, materials, and craftsmanship- Corbin:$450! Sargent:$410! And not nearly as good. Also, the crew at Seat Concepts started building the seat only after I ordered it, which I think is great. They are not just cranking these out on an assembly line, they are built to order and feel this way. I can't say enough good things about this seat, I now ride for hours on every road condition in total comfort while still being ultra connected to the bike. Every FZ-09 owner should own a SC seat, they have an offering for everyone (unless you absolutely need genuine leather) Seriously, just buy it and you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner, trust me.
