We chose GOAT to install a three zone mini split system. //CONSULT// Our consultation with Andrey (one of the owners) was fantastic. He was on time and showed up when he said he would. Unfortunately other companies we asked for quotes missed their appointments - but not Andrey. He thoroughly explained everything and did a thorough walk through. //COMMUNICATION AND QUOTE// I liked that Andrey followed up with us to check in with us. Again other quotes took more than 3+ days. Andrey had a quote within 1 business day. He emailed us asking if we had further questions. //DAY OF// Vasilly and his team (Mark, Ed, Lubec and Alex) arrived promptly! They did another thorough assessment and provided two solutions: Going through our attic or going along the exterior soffit. Our house has a unique challenge in that our siding is fiber cement with bricks in the wall. They were extremely communicative, cleaned thoroughly, and finished within ~5 hours. Everything turned out fantastic! They made everything look so clean and so sleek! We also had two cats and they were mindful of closing the doors and checking to make sure they never escaped (even at one point because they communicated through cell I heard Vasilly saying to make sure to close the doors so the cats don't escape lol) They explained to us everything and made us understood the unit and how to use it We're so happy with the customer service and would highly recommend this family run business to anyone

He was able to promptly provide a ballpark estimate for different options, and I picked one option to get a detailed quote. Also got two other quotes. Went with Goat to replace the furnace as well as an aging air conditioner with a new heat pump and furnace. Great service, got it installed quickly once Andrey received it. Price was great and very competitive with the other ones. House is warm and toasty, and energy bills are lower with the heat pump providing heating when it's not cold enough for the furnace. Would recommend and use again if needed.

Shortly after installation, I expressed concerns that the AC is not cool/cold for my house and my bedroom upstairs reach's 80F+ even with AC on. AAA came back and said nothing was wrong and even said oh maybe your builder should have installed 2 HVAC systems. I actually questioned their experience as the crew came out for an assessment based on my house sq footage and recommended this unit for my house and I was later told by another tech that the is AC unit is a bit small for my house.. unsure whether they were trying to sell some other unpopular units to their clients. Fast fwd, I hired another company for maintenance today and was told and shown that there were rust and water in my unit and the Inducer has a crack due to POOR gas pipe installation by AAA. Also, the tech told me AAA should have put in a bigger AC unit for my house instead of blaming I need another HVAC. Hence, AAA did not have experience staff to do initial assessment to determine AC BTU/Ton size and their installation was POORLY done!

TL;DR: Glendale suggested a worse, unnecessary solution, failed to diagnose the real problem,…read morewasted multiple visits/resources, and then blamed me when the cost didn't match the actual scope. I will never use Glendale and wouldn't recommend them. About a month ago I called Glendale to diagnose a non-functional register in my house (central HVAC). The vent had never worked and we were willing to pay just to identify the issue. The first tech briefly looked and then recommended replacing the register on the other side of the room by running a new duct through the garage and above the ceiling. This didn't make sense to me because a duct already existed in the ceiling in the garage. I called them back about a week later to ask about tying into the existing duct. They said the original tech was no longer employed there and another tech suggested installing a heat pump for that room instead. After more discussion, they agreed to send another tech to diagnose it again. A second tech came out and after some discussion, agreed tying into the existing duct was the better option. This time he requested access to the crawlspace to look for a disconnected duct. He spent around 15 minutes in the crawlspace and couldn't find anything obvious, but said the garage work would be unusual for them and might require two techs an entire day; they would re-evaluate if needed. We scheduled the work. Days before the scheduled day, I noticed that during windy periods I could feel airflow from the duct and smell crawlspace air near the register. I figured I shouldn't pay ~$2,500 for unnecessary work to make the garage smaller if the issue could be a simple disconnection in the crawlspace. After only a few minutes searching, I found what appeared to be an opening for a duct between studs in the wall between the garage and the house--the same wall shared with the room above. I called Glendale to ensure they weren't overcharging for a larger scope and to confirm I wouldn't be charged about $2,000 just to connect an existing duct to a trunk line a few feet away. I spoke with the coordinator (Sarah), explained the issue, and asked them to adjust the estimate if the scope was smaller. She said she would take notes and re-evaluate on the day of the install. If the job changed they would call the office and issue a new estimate (as required by Washington State law). On the installation day, I explained everything to the tech. He said he read the notes about my conversation with Sarah and asked to check the crawlspace himself. After a short time, he confirmed the duct seemed to work fine and that the builders likely missed the trunk connection. He said he would call the office for a new estimate because materials and scope were completely different. A second tech arrived, and about 1.5 hours later the lead tech was gone and the second tech was standing around. When I asked about progress, I was told the lead tech went to get supplies because they weren't prepared to just connect a duct to the trunk line. I asked about the updated estimate and he responded with "Oh, you want a new estimate?" and then assured me that the office would call me. Twenty minutes later I received an email with a new estimate, and it was only about $200 lower while the work description stayed the same--despite the clearly different scope. The lead tech had returned soon after and I told him I needed to call the office about the estimate. I connected with Chris (who generated the estimate). I pointed out that the price and description didn't match what was found. Instead of a clear breakdown, he launched into a blame game: blaming the techs for diagnosis, blaming me for not telling them (even though I did), and blaming multiple tech visits/estimates. When I requested a cost breakdown (hours, tech count, materials), he refused, saying they price by job and couldn't provide detail. He claimed labor was the main cost and that their diligence justified the timing/cost. I argued that we offered to pay to diagnose the issue and that they didn't do thorough due diligence--I found the actual problem. The call ended with him offering to reduce the price by a couple hundred, which I declined because I didn't want to reward behavior I considered unfair and misleading. Worse: while I was disputing the estimate, the technicians had already started work before I approved it and they appeared to be near completion. I told them I did not approve the estimate and they needed to undo the work. Overall, it felt like: They pushed a more expensive, worse solution they hadn't properly justified. They spent time/visits without actually finding the issue. When the scope clearly changed, the new estimate didn't reflect it. When I asked for clarity, I was attacked/blamed rather than helped. They acted like they were trying to shift mistakes onto the customer. Do not work with Glendale. I'm beyond upset, and I can only assume this approach may be how they treat other customers too.

I can't say much about the cost - it seemed in line with other plumbing costs we've incurred. We then had a kitchen sink drainage issue so I called them again. After snaking the drain a few times, they ended up having to hydro-jet it to finally clear the clog. Unfortunately the plumber didn't check out other plumbing fixtures in the house to see if there were drainage issues elsewhere. Ends up there were - in the utility sink in the laundry room. This sink is filling up and barely draining during a wash load. I am holding off doing laundry to avoid an overflow situation. So I called 2 Sons on Wednesday, the earliest they could get someone out was that Friday - that was OK with me. Friday morning I get a text that they have to reschedule because of an influx of emergency calls. Soonest they could get out was the following Wednesday. Well Wednesday rolls around and I moved my schedule around to accommodate an 8am-1pm arrival window. When I hadn't heard anything by 1:30 I called. They said the technician is still planning to come, it would just be after 2pm. I said fine I'll be around. So it's 2, then 3, then 4, and not a peep from them. I finally called at 5:30 to see if they were still coming. Mind you, I've been waiting since 8am. Come to find out that they can't make it but they can come Thursday morning, same arrival window, 8am-1pm. Well guess what? It's 1:00pm Thursday and I have not gotten any communication. I call and find out my tech is on a call to estimate a job - in Tacoma - at least 50 miles away. But - he's still gonna make it. Yeah right - in afternoon Seattle traffic? OK... So at 3:30pm I get a text (amazing!) that they can't make it - again - and would I like to reschedule. That's pretty funny. My laundry is piling up and I've sat around for two days waiting for them. The lack of timely communication is unacceptable, along with the reschedules. I would rather have been told up front that they couldn't fit me in then I could've gone elsewhere and had my drain cleared a week sooner. They have lost me as a customer along with the friends and family who originally recommended them to me.
