I've used 2 Sons in the past without incident. They replaced bathroom faucets and on another visit installed a T&P valve - this work was fine. I can't say much about the cost - it seemed in line with other plumbing costs we've incurred. We then had a kitchen sink drainage issue so I called them again. After snaking the drain a few times, they ended up having to hydro-jet it to finally clear the clog. Unfortunately the plumber didn't check out other plumbing fixtures in the house to see if there were drainage issues elsewhere. Ends up there were - in the utility sink in the laundry room. This sink is filling up and barely draining during a wash load. I am holding off doing laundry to avoid an overflow situation. So I called 2 Sons on Wednesday, the earliest they could get someone out was that Friday - that was OK with me. Friday morning I get a text that they have to reschedule because of an influx of emergency calls. Soonest they could get out was the following Wednesday. Well Wednesday rolls around and I moved my schedule around to accommodate an 8am-1pm arrival window. When I hadn't heard anything by 1:30 I called. They said the technician is still planning to come, it would just be after 2pm. I said fine I'll be around. So it's 2, then 3, then 4, and not a peep from them. I finally called at 5:30 to see if they were still coming. Mind you, I've been waiting since 8am. Come to find out that they can't make it but they can come Thursday morning, same arrival window, 8am-1pm. Well guess what? It's 1:00pm Thursday and I have not gotten any communication. I call and find out my tech is on a call to estimate a job - in Tacoma - at least 50 miles away. But - he's still gonna make it. Yeah right - in afternoon Seattle traffic? OK... So at 3:30pm I get a text (amazing!) that they can't make it - again - and would I like to reschedule. That's pretty funny. My laundry is piling up and I've sat around for two days waiting for them. The lack of timely communication is unacceptable, along with the reschedules. I would rather have been told up front that they couldn't fit me in then I could've gone elsewhere and had my drain cleared a week sooner. They have lost me as a customer along with the friends and family who originally recommended them to me. read more

They showed up on a Saturday and told me there wasn't a weekend fee, but the pricing still seemed like a premium rate. Caution is warranted. I hired Two Sons Plumbing after finding sewage backing up into my basement bathtub. I shut off the water and called them the next morning. They completed their work about a week later. During that week they recommended expensive additions to the project, including installing a liner on part of the sewer line. While scoping the line, their equipment became stuck, which added to my concerns about the process. They also told us that the entire line had been jetted and was in good condition. I later learned that only part of the line had been jetted, which left me feeling that I had not been given a complete picture of the situation. They were not able to locate the cleanout in the yard, and the description they gave about ownership of part of the line did not match the city diagram available online. Based on what I was told, I believed the line had been cleared and that no further repairs were needed. About a week after they finished the basement flooded again. The issue reappearing so soon after the work left me with serious doubts about whether the problem had been resolved. When I raised these concerns, the responses I received felt inconsistent and not very straightforward, and I did not feel that the situation was being addressed in a clear way. Overall, I left the experience frustrated, uncertain about the information I was given, and disappointed given the cost of the work and the rapid return of the same problem. read more

Overpriced and over promised. Also, not clear on fees (specifically 3% service fee for using a credit card). The plumber was friendly and nice. However, he never mentioned that there was a 3% service fee for using a credit card. I emailed them about this 3% fee and told them it was never brought to my attention. They responded to me saying someone will get back to me on Monday since I emailed over the weekend. 2Sons never did follow up about the fee. Also, they overpromised on when they could come out to do the repair. They were supposed to come out on a Thursday afternoon, but cancelled last minute and said they'd show up first thing Friday morning. They did show up on Friday, but not until 11:30am. Lastly , their rates to fix a common slow drain fix was exorbitant! I wish I had more time to research, compare, and get other quotes. After the repair was done, I found that other companies charged around $100 for a slow drain/pipe. My repair was a little over 4 times that! This is more on me as I should have done more research on getting other quotes, but my wife and I wanted the repair done sooner than later. read more

Just had Danny do a furnace maintenance. Super nice guy who showed exactly how to clean the filter (at each change of season), not to use water to do (just a quick vacuum). Danny noticed that the person who installed our furnace didn't connect a two part heating system that would result in a 30% gas/electric saving. I filled out their schedule request online, they called me first thing the next morning to confirm the day and time frame I selected. I was very impressed how quickly they responded. On the selected day they called to let me know approximately when my technician would arrive. Ahead of time I received a text with my technicians name and picture, Davie. That adds a level of confidence when allowing someone into your home. Davie arrived in the time frame I was promised. He was so nice and helpful. I walked him around to show him what sinks needed his attention. Not long after he arrived our power went out. . .he did a few things in his truck hoping it would come back on but when it didn't, he set up a time to come back. He came back this week and again was so kind and helpful. He doesn't mind if I hang out and watch what he does (it's kind of interesting seeing the machine and such.) I asked if it bothered him having me there, he said not at all. He was so kind about answering questions, explaining to me what he was doing, and explaining what needed to be done. Today I was having a crisis (sewer backed up) and called 2 Sons. They were responsive, I will give them that. However the guy said he was unable to snake the mainline and said the cost to address the blockage was $28000. Yes you read that correctly. He claimed it was blocked under the street 12 feet down and they would need to dig up the street! I got the city involved (not quick or easy) and by the end of the day I thought I'd roll the dice and just get a second opinion about all of this. The second business I called came out late afternoon and had the 28k clog cleared in 20 minutes! Astounding that a business could be this reckless to make a claim like this without actual facts. Great experience with 2Sons. Recent cold weather event left me with a frozen/broken pipe at my home in Renton Highlands, along with many homeowners in the Puget Sound area. Water was pouring out of the finished garage ceiling around a light fixture. Dave from 2 Sons initially came to repair but needed access and recommended a company that would mitigate the damage, open up the drywall so the plumber could get access. Until things are opened up, tracing a leak can be a nightmare. Once the leak was exposed 2Sons were able to work in their plumbers Justin and Gavin to affect the repair on a Friday evening so we didn't have to stay another night in a hotel due to no running water. Everyone, and I mean everyone from 2 Sons were very pleasant to work with. Really good customer service kept me updated on the plumbers' arrival and was always upbeat positive and sympathetic to my needs. Justin and Gavin arrived after a working another long day. They were upbeat gentlemen who affected the repair in short order. Customer service seems to be an endangered species these days with most companies. I can't tell you how many times I have had to hear a service provider tell me 'sorry there's nothing we can do:" This was not the case with 2Sons, they were always positive polite and kept me updated throughout the event to ensure I was informed of the plumber's arrival. On top of that I received a call from Tyler who runs this branch to personally apologize for any delays and assure me that 2Sons would arrive shortly and make the repairs. What started as a nightmare from the weather event, turned into a positive experience all because of 2Son's Plumbing's great crew and staff. WOW, what a relief I'm so grateful that I connected with Gabriel. I am dealing with a major leak problem at my duplex (SIX) toilets, which have been leaking for at least the last several months. Gabriel and Anthony arrived and in six new toilets in a day. Fortunately I was able to be there (I live 4 hours away) Gabriel took the time to show me and explain the extent of water damage and condition of the wood surrounding each toilet. I have arranged for a contractor to make those repairs and then coordinate with Gabriel to complete the job. I have absolute confidence in Gabriel's integrity, and experience. A long time coming review. Back in 2023, Christmas Eve, our 16 year old heater finally broke down during our family and friends get-together. It was a terrible experience for our entire family and friends. I called 2 Sons Plumbing because I heard so many good things about them from other clients. I read their review, and made the decision to call them. I was pleasantly surprised when they said they can come on Christmas Day to fix our broken heater! Actually, I was so happy, and even happier I was able to tell my wife someone can come right away! Happy wife, and life, on Christmas Day! So they came promptly as they said they would. They remove and installed the new heater quickly, efficiently, and worked right away. The technicians for nice and friendly and kept us in the loop as they continue they're work. They charged over $3400 (plus 3% of you don't want to pay in cash) for a small condo water heater which was well over $1000 per hour for labor. Unfortunately I was gouged. The quality of the work was fine, but the cost was through the roof. I'm a single mom with a new baby, and I just wasn't able to take the time and do the work myself. I called them because my toilet was running. I just need a new flapper. They change the entire guts with is standard. If I had ordered the parts on Amazon the cost will be between $10 and $20. The work including replacing the shut off valve that they reported was leaking and recalled was over $600. The total time at my house including visiting was less than 45 minutes. I sent a letter to The company and the owner called me back. They said that $600 is a reasonable charge and would not give me an itemized invoice. They say itemized invoices are no longer the standard. I would not recommend them. I will never use them again. That price is just astronomical! I feel taken advantage of as a single woman. I felt uncomfortable the minute they blew up about the water shut off valve. It was as flamboyant as an infomercial. He stated that the valve would blow up and flood my entire house. I do agree that the valve may have been recalled and may leak and cause problems, but his delivery of the information was very over the top. Again I tried to resolve this with the owners who so nothing wrong with charges and also declined to itemize the invoice. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

I called 2 Sons Plumbing for two sets of work: servicing/checking the HVAC, and servicing/checking the water heater. Ben was the technician who came out and worked on the water heater - he took tons of photos (I was offsite) and explained the issues to me, and we ended up putting in a brand new water heater. His explanations were not only easy to understand, but explained what was going on completely. The new water heater has been working like a dream. Luke was the technician who came out to service the HVAC. He also took photos and explained things very clearly - thankfully, the situation was not the same as the water heater (the HVAC was still in very good shape). Replaced filters, made sure everything was working as expected, etc. To top it all off, 2 Sons Plumbing reached out about a week later to make sure things were still functioning as expected and that I was still happy with the work. We have had 2 Sons do work for us on 2 occasions. For the first job, we had a sump pump in a shared catch basin that was failing to pump water during heavy rains, causing our basin to get an inch away from completely overflowing into our driveways and into our basements. We had no idea what was causing this and Brandon patiently and transparently walked through the possibilities and steps he was taking to remediate the issue. He kept us updated and was extremely persistent in seeing the issue through to completion. When we bid out this job originally, 2 Sons had competitive pricing compared to the competitors. We had a second job to replace a faulty water expansion tank. We really appreciated the work they did on the first job so we hired them on the spot. Again, Brandon did the work, along with Ben? Not only did they fix the issue, they discovered a leaky pipe. Our pipe setup was a bit challenging but they were able to fix and improve upon it. The company as a whole is extremely responsive to queries and has good turnaround time. The technicians reliably arrive within the specified window. read more

Overall I am happy with my plumber's work, but I hesitate to recommend due to the pricing structure and a clause in their contract that really shouldn't be there. I needed a section of pipe behind my drywall replaced because a hole was drilled through it mistakenly. When I called 2 Sons Plumbing they were able to send someone out promptly. My plumber, Josh, was courteous and professional, and wore booties and a mask inside my home. Josh estimated it would be 2-3 hours of work, and quoted me $1400. I thought this sounded really high. They explained to me their pricing structure is flat, not based in the hours required. I couldn't really afford to shop around much longer so I went with it. When we scheduled the job, they were a few hours late (they did call first), cut out a small section of drywall, and replaced the section of pipe. It took about thirty minutes. They don't replace the drywall for you so you have to do that yourself; I have no idea if that's common for these types of jobs. Overall, they did solid work, but $1400 for 30 minutes of work and a cheap chunk of pipe feels awfully steep. What also bothered me was this clause in the contract: "By signing this agreement, and agreeing to the price and the terms and conditions herein, Customer expressly warrants, agrees and represents that it will not communicate or publish, either written or verbal, any negative reviews or opinions in, or on, any medium, publication or forum with regard to the prices agreed to herein, and Customer understands that a breach of this provision will result in monetary damages to Company for which Customer will be liable." The FTC prohibits these types of contract clauses with the Consumer Review Fairness Act. You cannot impose penalties on your customers for truthfully commenting on your prices in a review. It feels like they know their prices are steep but try to discourage folks from writing about it. Overall three stars because my plumber was professional and did good work. But please shop around if you can. read more

When a fitting failed and flooded my basement they blamed a (less than 7") piece of pipe that they chose not to replace and refused responsibility for the damage. I was not asked or advised to replace the part at the time of service, when they could have easily run the line to a elbow joint. I'm stuck with water damage and no advice on what to do about it. They did provide photos for insurance purposes, and David was very kind. The owner/manager Tyler chose to refuse responsibility. Discovered water leaking onto my kitchen floor from underneath the sink. Originally called the same company who had installed my "high-end" faucet almost two years ago (Puget Sound Plumbing & Heating), but grew impatient with the delay (which I understand is normal). So, I called 2 Sons Plumbing and was able to have someone over that same day. I had an inkling that it had to do with the faucet that a couple weeks prior had gone a little wonky, but wasn't sure. Justin from 2 Sons tightened the faucet pullout which had come completely disconnected a year before (Puget Sound had fixed it gratis). I showed them the faucet paperwork and of course the warranty now was a year out of date. Justin gave me the option of just tightening the pullout whenever it happened again, asking Puget Sound Plumbing to order a new part, or getting a new one. The faucet Puget Sound installed was Wolverine. I do not recommend anyone having this faucet installed. There is a world of difference between the construction of it and the new one (a Moen gooseneck which was less expensive) I had Justin install. But first, I was given several options to choose from. Puget Sound had given me only one ("we only install high-end faucets," I was told). Honest, reliable, pleasant, and taking a lot of time explaining everything. Who could ask for more! read more

However just in the last 6 months I had a situation that I had to write a review and sing their praises. I have an aging father in law that I care for and in June 2022 his bathroom flooded. I had 2 Sons come out and help repair the issue and install a new toilet. Just 2 months later the toilet failed. I wont go into full details, but they and I spent about 6 months trouble shooting the issue. The whole time they were professional, courteous and understanding, even if my father in law may not have been. I feel like we have worked with every tech at 2 Sons and they have all been great.
