What a delightful shop! They have all kinds of fun sweets - cupcakes, brownies, bars, cookies, cake pops! They even make fancy cakes for special events; ie: weddings. I settled on a chocolate peanut butter covered sandwich cookie, a S'more cupcake, and a key lime cheesecake. The gal who helped me was kind and helpful. Everything we had was delicious. I will definitely pop in again for more treats soon. I like that they are open until 5pm on weekdays. Bakeries tend to close on the earlier side and it's nice to have them as an option. I have used Seatown Sweets a few times for custom cookies that were adorable, delicious & beautifully packaged for our guests. I had spotted this beautiful cake a year ago on the website and finally decided to buy it this year for my boss's birthday. It was not only the most beautiful cake I've ever seen, but truly the best tasting I've ever had. I had opted to go with the gluten-free vanilla cake in case any guests had a gluten allergy... I was a little worried that might affect flavor & consistency but blown away by the outcome! I am so happy I went this route! Kudos to the team who made this!! This was a great reminder that cakes this beautiful really make great gifts! Everyone complemented the cake- light, fluffy, moist and not too sweet. The hardest part was cutting into it because I didn't want to disrupt the beautiful decoration, but once I tasted it, I was in heaven and all in on making slices for others to enjoy. The shop has a beautiful assortment of ready to go items too, which is really convenient. I added in some super cute cake pops (smores, salted caramel & apple pie) as take home gifts and those too were a major hit. Online ordering is helpful too. Had a glitch where the reply to my request got lost in a spam black hole, but ended up calling & got things back on track. I adore their cupcakes. I have tried many of them and all great. My fav is the cookie butter. My daughter is a vegan and we have tried their vegan cakes and cake pops. Both are yummy. If you look at the reviews on my profile, I leave nothing but good reviews for places. It hurts me to leave my first bad review but I have to warn others about my really disappointing experience. I have had their Vegan Vanilla Raspberry cupcakes in the past and had thought it was a good idea to order a Vegan GF Birthday Cake for my mom's birthday. My family has been Vegan/GF for many years and know the cakes can be dense. I picked up the cake yesterday and brought it to my moms birthday party At my mom's birthday party nobody could eat this cake. Just by looking at the cake, and shortly After one bite, everyone at the party agreed the cake was INEDIBLE. It was BEYOND dense. It appeared undercooked, from the appearance/discoloration of the cake and texture. Moral of the story, my mom and none of my family members got to enjoy this cake. We still had 98% of the cake at the end of the party. The owner basically had to say so sorry, but that is how it is made. She said it wasn't undercooked but it doesn't change the fact it was beyond dense, INEDIBLE and no one got to eat this expensive cake. I live far away, atleast a 40 minute drive to her establishment and she asked me to come in to inspect it but would still would not offer any kind of help. No reimbursement, fully or partial, she didn't offer to remake the cake. She showed no real care on the fact we spent $66 on this not so big cake. That we could not eat. Her lack of care and way she went about this was so rude. It made my mom's birthday memorable in a bad way. I want people to know how she went about this. This is not okay! We lost money and did not get to eat the cake and this is the response we get. Photos of the cake and conversation with the owner attached. I am sure she will reply to this! She will try to defend herself but it won't change what happened. She didn't make anything right Instead offered for me to spend more of my time, energy and gas money for me to come back in and for her to "inspect" the cake. No refund offered. It felt like she had No empathy or care towards my word on what happened to us. Ridiculous. She left a bad taste in our mouths, Literally. The way she made us feel after not being able to eat her product was not fair. It felt and still feels horrible! What a shame. I advise others like me who don't have much money to spend but wanted to do something nice, to Go take a look at her other bad reviews too on her platforms before you do business with her and possibly not get money back on inedible product. I should've checked her reviews sooner. I just saw a review from a customer of hers last week complaining of mold on their dessert! With photo proof. If you do your research on her responses to negative reviews, not in all cases but in most of them it seems like she is more interested in defending herself and being "right" than just making it fair with others who had a terrible experience. read more

I am a bakery fanatic, and so when I was in the area and found a bakery that I had yet to try, I knew I had to stop. I was there shortly after opening (10am) on a Friday morning and there was no wait. I purchased two cupcakes, a frosted cookie, a lemon bar, and my partner got two mini cheesecakes (~$23 after tax). The sweets were delicious, though I was disappointed with the lemon bar. It wasn't as lemon flavored as I had hoped, and unfortunately, the ratio of lemon filling to crust was subpar, it was approximately 1/3 filling and 2/3 crust. I'm not in that area often so I'm not sure if I will be back, but I am glad to have stopped to try some of their offerings. read more

I was super happy to try some cake trimmings, who doesn't love cake!? Unfortunately I was not a fan of this one. I tried it right when I got it and it was cold and didn't taste right so I figured that was my bad for not waiting for it to come to room temperature. I tried again later. No good. I only shared half a slice before giving up on the rest. The frosting didn't taste as sweet and delicious as you'd expect a cake to taste. Honestly it was a little salty and bland. So I ate around the frosting for just cake. Also a miss. I was shocked and disappointed. Edit: I did try these slices for a fraction of the price and fully expected it to just be a sample of what they offer. If that's what the cake regularly tastes like, then I cannot recommend anything else and would not try more. Cake is cake and even grocery store cake tastes like frosting and cake a few days later. Very happy to have this bakery open in Kenmore! We tried a variety of cupcakes and cookies (sorry no pics, was too eager to eat!). Our favorite was the lemon bar which I think are new and has a great tart flavor. Also really enjoyed the double chocolate cupcake that had a rich dark frosting and moist cake, and the sugar cookies which aren't super sweet, and the oatmeal chocolate cookie had a nice heft to it. The key lime cheesecake was pretty good with its graham crust but we were hoping for a bit more lime flavor. Passion fruit cupcake frosting was nice and tasty, but the cake was a tad dry. However, that didn't stop us from eating every bite of all these treats, and we definitely will be back to try more goodies! read more

Reminds me of Sprinkles Cupcakes in Beverly Hills! (Except more boutique-y and less of an ig trap). Not as gigantic as sprinkles, but the buttercream is similarly rich and the cake is moist. This is a good place for a reasonably priced sweet treat (many treats under $5 on their daily menu). I would also consider picking up some sweets as a gift, or for special occasions or events. I tried some cupcakes, a brownie, and a cookie. The chocolate chips in the cookies are huge and it's a very dense, satisfying cookie. The buttercream is very sweet and rich. The staff was super friendly and sweet, very pleasant experience. This location opened up just a month ago. No seating inside. So disappointing! I got an email from Seatown about how they had extra Thanksgiving cakes! I excitedly placed an order online and drove in. Maybe these cakes were sitting too long? I was so looking forward to serving this as part of our Thanksgiving dessert spread. The cake itself was beautifully decorated but was SO dense and dry yet soggy at the same time. The moisture from the frosting got wicked into the cake, so that part was dense and soggy. But the rest of the cake was dry. I served this to my family hyping up Seatown Sweets... but one bite in and we all gave each other looks. This was a letdown and it's unfortunate it was on such a special day. I went into this charming little shop with the most optimistic and supportive of expectations. It's lovely. The service was adequate, I was surprised to realize that was the owner as she was not very engaging or particularly courteous to the customers in front of me. I spent $50 in an assortment of candies. The reality, though for me, was the candies were too sweet & over cloying. There was nothing particularly unique or special in anything I sampled, while every item was beautiful. ...The espresso truffle was just bland. The amaretto truffle was overwhelmed by white chocolate. it was a little disappointing. I was expecting more sophisticated and nuanced flavors. I ordered 3 different cake pop: salted caramel, carrot cake and strawberry shortcake: the salted caramel was definitely my favorite as it was moist inside and had the sweet and savory taste to it. Carrot cake was my second favorite as it has the carrot cake taste but it wasn't as moist. The strawberry was pretty standard I also ordered a brownie and a cookie. First, the photo cookies turned out beautifully AND were yummy! Second, Kayla kindly put together the assortment I'd asked about even though not part of Seatown's regular offering. I ordered the galaxy cake a little over two days before my daughter's birthday party. I needed the cake to be eggless and the lady on the phone was very helpful with accommodating my request. I placed the online order with my note and was very relieved to receive a response back acknowledging my special request from the head baker - these things can sometimes be lost in communication but not with this bakery. The cake itself was fabulous - it looked even better in person and it tasted great - I ordered the least sweet classic chocolate and was very happy with the cake.
