For a recent event, I ordered photo cookies using the photo from our event brochure and asked if I could also get an assortment of other cookies. First, the photo cookies turned out beautifully AND were yummy! Second, Kayla kindly put together the assortment I'd asked about even though not part of Seatown's regular offering. Everyone at my event loved the cookies and all asked where they were from; they truly stood up to "eat dessert first" - there were none left at the end of the evening. I recently ordered 4 dozen custom designed sugar cookies for a double graduation party. The cookies were beautifully done. Each cookie was decorated with an artist's flourish; the details and color were impeccable. We had two graduates from different institutions, so ordered two different color schemes.I wish I had gotten a photo! The cookies didn't just look good, though. They were absolutely delicious. I ordered the galaxy cake a little over two days before my daughter's birthday party. I needed the cake to be eggless and the lady on the phone was very helpful with accommodating my request. I placed the online order with my note and was very relieved to receive a response back acknowledging my special request from the head baker - these things can sometimes be lost in communication but not with this bakery. The cake itself was fabulous - it looked even better in person and it tasted great - I ordered the least sweet classic chocolate and was very happy with the cake. I think the cake had two kinds of chocolate cream in the layers and the sponge tasted great. I'm going to keep using this bakery for future celebrations! read more

We saw the sign go up for Seatown in Kenmore and have been patiently waiting for their grand opening this past weekend. They have a modest selection to start but trust it will grow over time - maybe cake slices? Lots and lots of cake pop flavors, a few cupcakes, cookies, and hand pies. Intrigued, we bought the passion fruit and raspberry cupcakes, the apple and cherry hand pies, the snickerdoodle and oatmeal raisin cookies to try. For my taste, it was a mixed bag on both ends of the spectrum: the hand pies could use a bit more filling BUT, the cupcakes were out.of.this.WORLD! Average cupcakes. Got a variety of salted caramel, double chocolate, red velvet, and confetti with cookie butter. The salted caramel might have been my fault, it was a little melty by the time I ate it so it felt like eating melted butter on a moist cake. The moist cake part was fine. The double chocolate my husband took and he liked the frosting but not the cake which is unusual for him. The red velvet was average. The cream cheese frosting tasted of more sugar than cream cheese. It could have just been regular frosting which is sad. The confetti with cookie butter one tasted too almondy almost like amaretto. Surprising and not what I wanted. I thought the cookie butter would taste like biscoff or speculoos. The brownie was not as soft as I expected. The outside was too crunchy for my preference. read more

We're sad. Guess we have to try somewhere else for our wedding cake. I placed an order over a month ago for a cake tasting box. We showed up today to pick it up and they didn't have all of the flavors that we requested to try. We found their cake to be extraordinarily dry. Their vanilla buttercream is SO SWEET. Which is great if you like that, but not what we're looking for. We tried the lemon poppyseed blueberry which was giving mostly vanilla flavor. The lemon curd in their lemon cake was the only thing we didn't dislike about our tasting. I would have loved a lemon buttercream frosting and a stronger lemon taste in the cake. I'm a chocolate girl and their double chocolate was NOT it. The chocolate cake was the most dry thing I've ever tasted. I worked for a cupcake shop for 5 years and I don't even know how it's possible to have such dry cakes. All of their cakes are frozen so we had to wait for them to thaw before tasting. It would have been great to try some fresh cakes, rather than ones that seemed like they had been made and frozen a week ago. So disappointed, but on the bright side we get to eat more cake in our search for the perfect wedding cake. read more

I worked with Kayla for my wedding day and it was absolutely an amazing (and stress free) experience. I inquired early on and her communication is top notch thru out everything. Covid guidelines fluctuated a lot between July and October and thankfully we were able to look down a plan that ended up working out perfectly for my small wedding. For the cake tasting, we were not able to do something in person so she set up a to go box with our desired flavors and options. And it was so perfect given the situation. We were able to do pick up and enjoy in our place. And let me tell you - she's one HECK of a baker. Wowowow everything was so good. For the wedding day, she pre-packaged everything in individual containers, set up the table, and the whole nine yards behind the scenes. I'm sad I didn't see her day of but she did an amazing job.
