Found myself at Seattle Caviar at opening on Wednesday. Made an appointment for a tasting. Returning an hour later, to meet our hostess Binta. Her excitement was contagious. Enthusiasm was evident and most enjoyable. Conversations of world travels and tasty champagne and caviar..... excellent start to a wonderful visit to Seattle. Thank you so much.

My parter and I scheduled a caviar tasting reservation since we are new to the game. It was a wonderful personalize experience and we learned a lot about the different types of caviar. We purchased 2oz for our hotel snack, and tried it with Pringle's. Not a fan, but the caviar is great with the blini's.

A very cozy store with polite and attentive staff. The quality of the caviar is excellent. I purchased red caviar--large, intact grains, not crushed. It makes a perfect topping for traditional Russian pancakes (blini). Highly recommend!

FYI* caviar tastings are closed at the moment. However, you can grab some to go! I popped in on a Thursday and was attended so well. The person that helped me was so knowledgeable and friendly. I got the paddlefish 1 oz of caviar, crème fresh and fresh baked bilinis! Total was around $48 something so, don't worry there is affordable prices! Everything was 10/10! I also checked their website and they deliver! Perfect for a gift or a little treat for yourself.

    So many types of sturgeons!

Ask about their caviar tastings! Buy caviar & related items (spoons, serving dishes, bilinis & champagne) here while having access to someone who can answer related Qs. (There are also informational cards for some of their products.) 5* They also sell truffles, foie gras, duck, crème fraîche, salts, oils, vinegars, and more. Bought Idaho caviar. Delicious. $200 for 2oz. 5* Betsy's Blini are half dollar size Russian savory pancakes $12.50 3* (because personally like buttered toast instead as a vehicle for caviar) Located in adjacent building south of Sushi Kappo Tamura on Eastlake Ave E

We needed to get some quality omiyage for my parents before we returned home for all they've done for us. Saw this place on Yelp and the wife wanted to do a long stroll through Eastlake so it worked out perfectly. This was just a super cool experience all around. We got here 20 minutes before closing and I really wanted to do the tasting. The female employee could have easily shooed us away since some effort goes in to preparing a tasting but she just smiled and said she should be able to get everything ready in time. The tasting was so fun just to be able to sample 7 different types of caviar (since I obviously couldn't afford to buy 7 different tins) while also enjoying a mini glass of champagne. The employee was a great host, very knowledgeable, and just an all around pleasure. We ended up buying 1 oz of the Baerii and 1 oz of the California white sturgeon. Nothing like spending $210 at an eatery in 20 minutes.

Krista was so helpful and so knowledgeable about all things caviar! I love coming here for my caviar needs anytime I have a celebration. The owners are also so sweet and helpful. Idaho Sturgeon is by far my favorite!

Really enjoyed this experience. It was fun and relaxed at the same time. I wish they still gave discounts on purchases if you purchased the tasting. I'd go more often and be more apt to host something there.

"There is more simplicity in the man who eats caviar on impulse than in the man who eats Grape-Nuts on principle." The wife and I were in need of a good "date day" so we went out to Seattle for some good food. I originally found this place while looking for a local Foie Gras supplier. There she was Foie Gras, Truffles, & Caviar! Amuse-bouche. We decided to go for the tasting which was $10 per person and additional $10 if you want the champagne. We have had very little educational experience with caviar, we just knew whatever kind we had last time we LOVED. So we were also in search of that wonderful caviar that we had. The tasting consisted of at least 6 different caviars, starting from least to greatest. I did not care for the first few; they were very basic but did not have stand alone qualities. The lower levels were also not Sturgeon, so technically...not caviar (at least not in "real" culinary standards) Once we got into the Sturgeon I was greatly satisfied. As we went up the scale in quality and price the flavors became more and more magnificent. Than there it was, the moment where the hairs on my neck stood up and my taste buds were excited, that was the taste, the taste I was in search of. One minor detail, it was Osetra.... Meaning for a little 8oz container you are going to pay $1000.00. I didn't care, I bought 24 ounces, I just sold the owners my car....Yeah right, the lady did give me another nice sized sample though!! There is some method to the pricing madness. It takes that specific Sturgeon around 20 years to produce its first "caviar" not to mention all the work it takes to get the caviar. We ended up buying a different type of Sturgeon which was still very good but no hair standing. My only wish is that they would have served the caviar on a blini with some creme fraiche. I know they serve it alone to get the whole experience, just would have been nice to have it served like that as well. They did not charge us for the tasting since we purchased some caviar which was really nice. Trust me, not too long ago I would have ever touched caviar, but you must try it, also understand that not all caviars are the same, some are bad many are great, just depends on what you like. I would have never came here had I not been served some amazing caviar at a party, I am so thankful I had! I cannot wait to be back. Please do some Foie Gras and Truffle tastings!

For appetizers, the carrot soup and crab croquettes were the perfect portion and delicious. The soup had the perfect autumn flavor and creamy texture. The crab croquette came with zesty tartar sauce that complemented the dish. For the entree: short rib paparadelle had a generous amount of short rib that was super tender and flavorful. The Zabuton steak was also very tender and cooked perfectly - probably as good as the ones you'd get at a good steakhouse. Dessert was also very satisfying. We had a chocolate mousse that was creamy and not overly sweet/decadent. Our favorite was the blueberry lavender mousse which was perfectly floral and refreshing. Service was also quite fast and welcoming. This also seems like a great place for a happy hour!

Both were flavorful and fizzy, and fun drinks without alcohol are always appreciated. To eat, we began with the bread. It came with 6 pieces of bread, 3 slices of 2 types. My favorite was the butter with flaky salt. It also paired well with the sauce of my duck dish. For our mains, my friend had the burger and I had the crispy duck entree. My friend said the burger and fries were good, but he felt it was overpriced as a dish, which I can agree with. The crispy duck was crispy, albeit it slightly overcooked; but it was still delicious. I really liked the accompaniment of beans and kale with bacon lardons and breadcrumbs, and the sauce was SO good that I used our extra bread to sop it up. I had a coupon for a complementary dessert, so we enjoyed the opera cake. All of the layers were tasty and went well together, and I liked how rich the chocolate ganache was. Our server was kind and provided food recommendations. The food came out quickly. The ambiance of the restaurant was upscale but not stuffy. If you are looking for a nice restaurant for date night and have the budget, check out Delille en Ville!
