Stopped in after my accupuncture visit around the corner. It was highly recommended and I don't regret it! The deli menu had a lot to choose from. I went with the bull rider. (Roast beef with au jus) the bread was toasted and crisp with the perfect amount of meat and cheese. The service/food came out fairly quick granted that they are made fresh. The couple who owns the deli were very nice. The market itself is well kept, stocked, and clean. Highly recommend!

Wow, what a hidden gem that sells amazing sandwiches! This might be the best restaurant in Eastlake! The sandwich itself was very flavorful, juicy, tasty, delicious! I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend and I would come back

Otherside Deli is the best thing to happen to Eastlake in the last 5 years, maybe even longer. In a neighborhood that is filled with mediocre delis, Otherside shines like the beautiful star it is. This is the closest thing you will find to a NY style sandwich place in the area. I'll be here multiple times a week now, and you should too. Here's why... No idea where their sub rolls come from, but they're ideal for sandwiches. My guy Won does NOT skimp on sauces (which I'm pretty sure he makes there), and thus a bread that can withstand a proper onslaught of condiments is critical for sandwich integrity. This loaf is up to snuff. I've tried 5 or so sandwiches here already, and the ratios are right where they need to be. You can tell that the sandwich artists here are properly calibrated when they're on shift. Creating a dream sandwich is a delicate dance of art and math that can only be mastered after you've eaten 10,000 sandwiches yourself (Gladwell, et al.) You're going to get a solid bite that includes every ingredient, every time. The hot subs are toasted in a way that makes the bread crispy, but doesn't leave you with soggy ingredients. I urge you to follow down this path - you can tell that a lot of thoughtfulness went into the curation of this section of the menu. Putting coleslaw on a sandwich can a career ending mistake if your slaw is trash. However, Won's is top notch. They will recommend the Bill Rider to you, but go for The Ave. It's a special type of sandwich that I've never had before. Something about that tangy barbecue sauce mixed with the slaw puts it over the top. And that crispy bacon... you can tell that they really appreciate bacon here. It's on at least half of the sandwiches on the menu. Otherside must be protected at all costs while there is construction around the entirety of Lake Union. Go get a sandwich!!

This has to be one of the best deli sandwich lunch spots in Seattle. Having heard a lot about this place, I had to go check it out and it delivered. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there were a few folks waiting on their sandwiches but there was no line to order. On ordering we were told there would be about a 30 min wait but they did also mention it would be worth it. We got the chicken rider and the chicken ole. The sandwiches itself came out steaming hot. The rider also came with an Au Jus on the side for dipping. The sandwiches itself were pretty filling and had amazing flavors. The Au Jus was also very good and complemented the sandwiches well. It was definitely worth the price and wait. The place itself is a nice corner market and has everything you might need. They have seating outside to eat the sandwiches while you get some sun. I want to try their breakfast bagel sandwich next as well as their other sandwiches. Highly recommend checking them out!

I love a sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwich and was so excited to see that they have them! They use backyard bagels too which is def a plus. The bagel sandwich was so hearty - the egg was fluffy, bagel was soft, and the sausage was yummy. You get a choice of swiss or cheddar, bacon sausage or ham, and everything or plain bagel. The shop itself was great! They pack it in there but they have all of the staples you'd need and more. Lots of wine and specialty drinks and items as well! Wish this was in our neighborhood so we could come by all the time. The owners are so sweet too!

The ave. Crispy bun, warm juicy filling. Amazing.

These are the absolute best sandwiches in Seattle. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. The hot sandwiches are especially elite. Highly recommend getting the Ave (our OG favorite) and the Bullrider (this was INCREDIBLE!!! a new favorite). The bread is always crispy on the outside even with all that glorious juiciness inside. Flavors are unbeatable. Pictures don't do these sandwiches justice. A must try!!!

got the Notorious PIG sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuit while I was here…read more Starting with the sandwich, there were a ton of things to love about this The very first thing I noticed was how all-time crispy the pork belly was. Interestingly, the meat came in two separate pieces, arranges somewhat like an X or a cross in the middle of the sandwich. This certainly wasn't the eating experience of a typical sandwich with a circular meat patty, and I appreciate the creativity here. The meat was insanely crunchy, oily, and quite plentiful. Each bite felt a bit like you were biting into a crunchy churro, but without the sweetness. I did think the outside of the pork did overpower the inside, though, as I didn't taste the meat or the fat inside much, and due to the amount of breading the pieces ended up being a bit chewy The bun was quite good as well - it was pretty soft, fluffy, and served as a really good bookend to all the ingredients inside. I thought the lettuce and onions also were good. I don't know if I'm a fan of the jelly on the sandwich - but again, I do like the creativity. What did shine here was the aioli, however. In a lot of places, you don't really taste the aioli on a burger - but that flavor was ever-present on this sandwich, and it was really fantastic. The absolute best part of the meal, by far, though, was the biscuit I have to start with how huge this is. This is certainly not the size of a typical Southern-style buttermilk biscuit - rather this biscuit makes no apologies in its effort to stand out from the crowd. Absolutely nobody would mistake this for a traditional biscuit - on the contrary, I think on first glance most people would assume this isn't a biscuit at all. It's shaped more like a massive pastry. I hesitate to say that looks are deceiving, because it does look great, but its taste manages to elevate past that. This was SO good. The edges are baked perfectly - they're oily, crispy, crunchy, and perfectly flaky. All four sides provide an amazing base - like the walls of a fortress that surround the soft, tender interior of the biscuit. You can see the different layers from the outside as well. When it comes to the inside, there was so much to get through but every bite was heavenly. So much credit here goes to the honey butter - which when spread onto the biscuit, raises the taste level of the entire thing. I put so much honey butter on mine that I nearly finished the whole thing. When it came to the jam, it was good, but since it didn't combine great with the honey butter I mostly ended up just using the latter This place was expensive - around 16 dollars for the sandwich and 8 for the biscuit - however, I was quite full at the end

Oh, and a vodka lemonade - you can get cocktails delivered via DoorDash! Everything was super good, especially the chili cheese dog. They were really generous with the chili (a full cup of it) and it was delicious. The lemonade is made from scratch and I really enjoyed that, as well - not too sweet. When we did takeout, we each got a sandwich, and we also got a Chicago dog, "chum bucket" w/ tots, and a handful of cocktails. I'd had kind of a bad week and was basically like, I don't even care, let's just get whatever we want even if it's an insane amount of stuff, haha. They do single serving craft cocktails for takeout in little cans, which is pretty cool. And they were SO GOOD (all with very clever nautical-themed names). I think our favorite was the "No Ship Sherlock" seasonal Moscow mule. The Chicago dog was amazing - based on this and my previous chili cheese dog, I can say without hesitation that their hotdogs are 100% 10/10. The "chum bucket" tots were also really good, and again came with a very generous full cup of chili. I hate to say it because everything else was so good, but the sandwiches were pretty disappointing for the price, we both thought. I had a tuna sandwich and my bf had a veggie sandwich. They used fresh, quality ingredients, but both sandwiches were kind of bland, and a lot smaller than we were expecting for $14 apiece. That's the only reason I dropped a star, but aside from that, they are 5 star all the way. So, we would not revisit the sandwiches, but hotdogs and cocktails HELL YES YES YES!! Anything involving the chili is also highly recommended. And although I didn't really go into detail about it, chicken tenders were good, too (there were more in there than what the photo shows) - crispy and well-seasoned, and more than what I was expecting.

Katsu is one of the finest fried items known to humankind, and even though eating fried food makes me feel like I've been punched in the stomach recently, I was willing to take a rocket to the gut for some stellar katsu and fries. Daruma has the set up of a no-frills establishment that knows they're going to be churning out orders. The kiosk order system isn't that common in the US because it seems ridiculously unfriendly, but Japan is about efficiency with a focus on the food. They only had two people working here so it was slow, but absolutely worth it. The spicy chicken katsu was incredible. Everything that was on this sandwich had a reason for being there. The cutlet itself was incredibly juicy and crispy. The right amount of sauce was applied so as to not make the sandwich itself soggy (critical on a sandwich with fried elements), and then the cabbage on top gives it a bit of freshness. I'm pretty sure the bread was fine, but that isn't why we're here. It's a vessel for fried food. The fries seem to need a bit of work. I think they may have gotten soggy because they came in a to-go box, but the seasoning was fantastic. They also come with whatever sauce you want, and there is a plethora to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed the spicy mayo, which I then added to the katsu sando as well. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Fremont area.

Can't believe it took me this long to write a review because I've been here multiple times…read more This is my go-to when I'm craving a katsu sando specifically. I've had both the regular and the spicy pork katsu sando -- both are really good, but the spicy one is no joke. It's genuinely numbing and by the halfway point everything kind of blends together haha. My one wish is that there was something in between -- the regular has zero kick and the spicy is full send. A medium heat option would be perfect. The fries deserve their own shoutout. Thin, crispy outside, fluffy inside, always fresh. Highly recommend dipping them in the mayo. Their egg salad is also solid if you want something lighter. Ordering is casual -- you order at the kiosk and grab it from counter when it's ready. No frills, but the staff are always friendly. If a katsu sando is what you're after, this is the place.
