This is a fantastic find for a late-night treat in the Kirkland area. The drive-through is remarkably efficient, and the value is great. Six cookies for $17 was perfect for our group. While the Cookies & Cream was a little sugary for my taste, the S'mores cookie was absolutely divine and packed with flavor. This is the fourth Midnight Cookie locations I have visited. For the longest time, I didn't realize it was there (despite the obvious signs) because it is housed in coffee booth type of shed. If you are looking for it, it is a standalone coffee booth in the parking lot across from Juanita Beach. There are no seats. It is a grab and go place. The more Midnight Cookie expands, the less I like them. The cookies start to feel more obviously mass produced elsewhere and brought to their now six locations. According to their website, their cookies are made fresh daily. The latest "traditional chocolate chip" cookie tasted a bit dry, visually pale, and no longer bring joy like it once did. I may have rated them lower taste wise, but I like that they have maintained the $3 price and still have monthly creations. The August blueberry muffin cookie sounds pretty good. I will go to the original Wallingford location, though. Maybe I'll get a warm cookie there. read more

We did a drive by and are now very happy. I read through the reviews to see why their average wasn't higher and I was pretty thrown. I guess I'm just used to inflation and a couple bucks for a good large cookie is fine. Also - if you're expecting fresh cookies at a place that serves till midnight from that tiny shed of a shop you need to get your logic circuit replaced. Midnight Cookie is perfect how it is. I didn't get Midnight Cookie at midnight, so maybe that was the issue on my end; but rather, I stopped by here in the late afternoon on a Sunday, as this location is a takeout and drive-thru only service. Located in a small business strip right across from Juanita Beach, Midnight Cookie took over a former drive-thru espresso stand. So you can only drive-thru or walk up to get your cookies here. While in the area, I decided to check it out after my friend mentioned how much she enjoyed these cookies. We walked up and I got a box of six cookies, which was a little more than 12 bucks. I ordered a variety: cookies and cream, fruity pebbles, s'more, chocolate chip peanut butter, double chocolate and birthday cake. They're ready for the taking as they make a large batch of each cookie. Additionally, they serve Full Tilt ice cream. When I tried the cookies though, I thought they tasted like it was sitting out all day, like they were older cookies and more dry than expected. I love soft-baked cookies and they didn't really taste as soft or fresh as I had hoped. I dunked them in milk, which helped soften the texture. Overall, if you're lucky to have a cookie here soon after it's baked, I think this is worth checking out, for that soft-baked, outta-the-oven goodness. Welcome to the neighborhood Midnight Cookie! I visited on NYE before their grand opening and picked up a box of 12. There wasn't a line around 4:30pm, and the service was very friendly. This location is in a former drive-thru coffee stand, so it's a grab and go type of spot. There's a private parking lot shared with other businesses, like Royal India and JB Bungalow, and it's right across the street from Juanita Beach Park. Oh yum! Noticed that the cute little coffee hut in the Bungalow parking lot was now a cookie place and had to check it out. I'm a huge fan of cookies. Ended up getting a 6 pack for $10 and chose snickerdoodle, smore, birthday cake and the chefs special which was coconut. Also a huge fan of coconut. The cookies are big and chewy. We were down at the farmers market and decided to get desserts here. They have a lot of different options you can choose from. We wanted to get an ice cream sandwich because it's hot and definitely did not regret it. I like that you can choose any cookies you want and the ice cream is either chocolate or vanilla. We got the fruity pebble ice cream and the vegan cookie and cream with chocolate ice cream. The fruity Pebble is probably my favorite of the 2 because they have a nice crunch from the fruity pebbles and the cookie itself. The vegan cookie also has a nice crunch on the outside but a chewier inside. My husband like that one better. Both cookies was average quality though, so nothing special. They gave us 3 small scoop of ice cream in the sandwich and it was good. They seem to be running out a lot of things as well ( no vanilla ice cream, some of the cookie flavor options not available either). This is the Eastside location of a local cookie chain, which offers coffee and milk too. You can walk up to the stand or drive through. The half-dozen is a whole lotta cookie but a good deal for $10, especially if you choose from the $2.50 cookies. Great value for the price. Service was quick, but surprisingly casual. The worker appeared to be wearing pajamas. I feel it was a little unprofessional and inappropriate. I asked which cookies were fresh and chose a Pumpkin Snickerdoodle (nice flavor, soft, fresh texture) and a Double Chocolate (decent flavor, but not fresh tasting, quite dry and edges were very crunchy). Update: The owner responded via email to my experience and explained that supposedly it's difficult for the employees to see/hear customers outside due to lighting. We returned the next night to give it another try. This time the order window was cracked open and the employee noticed me and took my order within a few minutes. The cookies were decent, not the greatest but not the worst either, maybe a bit expensive for the quality but you get what you get. Located facing a Main Street between a fast food fish/chip place and a nicer Indian restaurant. The tiny, box like store has two windows for drive thru and walk up service with 1 person handling all the orders. There is ample parking in the lot which is a plus! Despite it being almost 10pm there was a wait which was okay because we didn't know what we wanted to ordered. The menu had a huge selection of cookies and it appeared it was cheaper to order by the bulk than individually. The speciality cookies were more expensive by piece than the standard cookies. The service is very friendly but it was too bad the shop ran out of almost half the variety i.e. no chocolate chip cookies, no Thai tea ice cream, no huckleberry chip and the list went on. The cashier was very apologetic about the lack of supply however we still ended up buying a dozen cookies and two types of ice cream..salted caramel and strawberry. The service was definitely exceptional as the cashier really took the time to explain the various of cookie and ice cream flavors. We ended up with the birthday cake, cookies and cream, Mexican chocolate and fruity pebbles. These baked goods are buttery, flaky and crunchy and best with a nice cold or hot brink. We've been going to Midnight Cookie for years. We normally go to the Edmonds or Everett locations. But tonight we stopped at this one in Kirkland. The prices jumped up quite a bit. It is now $30 for a dozen cookies. But the quality is also lacking. A few kinds of cookies we got tonight were not fresh at all. They must have been a day or two old. The cookies were dry and hard. I found another late night cookie place closer to home that I will go to instead. If the quality of cookies were better then I would not mind the cost. But when you increase cost and decrease quality then there is really no reason to continue being a customer. read more

Midnight Cookie was an accidental find. After living in the PNW for 3 years now, you become desensitized to all of the espresso stands. It wasn't until I looked a bit closer and found out this was a cookie stand! So of course, I had to try it. I got a box of 6 (very large sized) cookies: chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia, s'mores, cookies and cream, peanut butter chip, and cranberry chip. The verdict... they were fine. The cookies tasted a bit on the older side, which was fair considering I picked them up at 9pm. So perhaps it would have been a totally different experience had I come earlier in the day. However, if you call it Midnight Cookie, I would expect there to be a quality standard that would drive them to sell not-so-stale cookies later in the evening. Note: I did not try the ice cream sandwich, which I see from the reviews, is a big deal. Maybe it will drive me to make another trip at some point. Service was great, friendly and quick. Nothing to say there. All in all, if you are in the area, need some circular sweet carbs, this is a suitable spot for a quick snack. Maybe just go a little earlier! read more
