Despite the misleading name, the coffee here is incredibly average. It tasted like the type of latte you'd get at a railroad station - not terrible, not excellent. The price is quite reasonable though, between $4-5 for a 16 oz. They didn't charge for honey, which was sweet! The young lady working was really nice and prompt in helping whoever walked in. The place itself is small and cozy, great to relax and read for a bit. They've managed to fit a good number of tables inside, and plenty of them seem to have outlets on hand. read more

It's my favorite coffee spot since 2018. I really like the fountains and outdoor seating. This is a neighborhood stop for many folks. I walk the center and get then get coffee. A dog and child friendly place. Ask for a pup cup for your furry buddy. The menu includes coffee, tea and Italian sodas, yum! A vibrant and eclectic interior with art and coffee and tea products for sale. Warm and welcoming staff will take your order. Pastry and yogurt breakfast items are available. Coffee is good. What I find dishonest is the sign for blended beans is "from 30 years ago" and not accurate. Sign says 9.95 but got charged 12.95. No need to advertise false pricing, when you can get a new sign that allows you to change prices at will. That just seems sketchy, dishonest, penny pinching and lazy. read more

I work near by and find myself actually sad on weekends due to missing out on my next door coffee run. They make amazing coffee that doesn't make me sick - never that sweet junk like Starbucks/Dunkin (sorry but honest). Even better than the coffee is their chai, SO YUM. I am recently a huge chai fan, but can't seem to find one as good as Seattle's Busy Bee Chai w/ lavender and honey! They also carry fresh bakery treats that I believe are also locally bought. I dont come here regularly. Reasons? Location is good but parking can be a fiasco between speed bumps, Zipps, Harbor Freight, and the dance studio with parents that seem incapable of actually parking IN the lot as opposed to curbside the studio. I will tell you the mix master working on this particular evening was very polite and professional. He was capable of taking an order, starting the drink AND answering questions about other menu items without a hiccup. We ordered our beverages and meandered the shop to see what changes had taken place since last visit. Art was different. Wondering now if the artist rotates once their pieces sell. I recognized some art that reminded me of a trip I made to WA and our barista told me the owner got it in WA from where they originate Well that finally explains to me the business name. Hey! I never knew. Found it strange that a couple tables were occupied by a couple weary travelers. I will say it was a beautiful evening and a brief stroll with my delicious, extra hot drink was very nice way to end the peaceful day. read more

Happy Coffee Spot, Great Prices and Service! I Came, I Saw, I Drank Coffee! This is a nice little coffee shop that also has bulk coffee and tea as well as other related accessories! The service was great from the young man who told me this place has been here for 26 years and this is the first time I ever noticed it! I was happy to sip my iced americano with caramel and talk for a bit to the friendly guy working there. You cannot beat $2.50 for coffee, which seems to me to be the price coffee should be!!! Was recommended to visit this shop by my friend who is a regular and it was great! Small little local coffee shop in a corner plaza in Tempe off of warner. Was greeted by the cashier as she was helping other customers. I ordered a small iced latte with almond milk (their latte comes with one shot) one the coffee was not bitter... thank you for doing it right! My friend ordered an iced 20oz americano (he ordered an extra shot to make it a double). We paid about 6$ for both drinks. So extremely affordable and great tasting coffee! I went to this coffee shop because they had good reviews. It's a very narrow store, and when I first walked in, I didn't think there was anyplace to sit. When I looked farther, though, I saw the tables, and I think they all had outlets for charging. The employees were very friendly and welcoming, and the entire atmosphere is very friendly. I met two ladies who were knitting. I like to knit, so we talked for a few minutes. I asked how they met, and they met at Seattle Espresso! I also got to talking to a teacher, and she pulled up a chair at my table and talked to me for a few minutes. I'm an introvert and not really that social, but like I said, it's just a friendly place. The only negative I have is that the store is so narrow that it's easy to overhear other people's conversations. This is probably an aspect that makes it so friendly, but at times, it made it hard to concentrate. I would definitely return but with earplugs. read more

I had my first espresso coffee drink here as a teenager long before Starbucks invaded the Valley. On my recent trip, I stopped in to their location on the northeast corner of Warner and McClintock for a nice Member Berry Latte. Jokes aside, I opted for a simple double Espresso. It was pulled nice and fast although served hotter than most. The place still does a brisk business with a limited and basic interior and good exterior seating. Seattle Espresso still serves a good coffee experience in the old neighborhood hopefully providing that first drink to another generation of lucky people. read more

We found this place years ago when we went to a float session. It was closed, so we never visited. Dh was on his own for a while, so decided to find this place and check it out. He was impressed with their Espresso. He has been on a crusade to find good espresso in Phoenix since we got back from Seattle. What a better place to find good espresso than Seattle Espresso, who knew? hahaha I guess many know because even early mornings this place is hopping! I love how many seats are available outside. There is seating inside as well, but I am still not ready to sit inside just yet. I get a hot cocoa made with soy milk. I know the barista warned me won't be creamy, but it tastes really good and does not bother my stomach! Win-win.The other part of this coffee shop is that they bring in the most delicious sweets to go with your drink. I have not found anything that does not taste, just ok, all tastes delicious! The last thing we discovered is that Seattle Espresso carries single origin coffee beans! Something dh is into! We can get beans, drink and food all in one nice little shop. I've been coming here on and off for a few years now and came in yesterday to meet one of my friends, she comes here more than me, I didn't recognize this new barista but she completely ruined the experience. It's one thing when you can't make an average cup of coffee but she was so rude! At first, I thought the attitude was incredibly dry humor but after no laughs and a blank face, my friend and I realized she was not a fan of us for whatever reason. Now don't get me wrong I thought maybe she was having a bad day but after chatting with my friend after the event she told me that this "attitude" is normal. The coffee here CAN be great there's a reason why I have been a reoccurring customer for years but I am pretty upset by my recent visit. Being that not many places were open on New Years Day, I decided to cruise around and see what was open. Being that the bookstore wasnt quite open yet and had a horrendous line, I drove around a little bit to see if I could grab a cup of coffee to kill some time. I pulled into the parking lot because theres several stores located in this strip mall, and have shopped at a few stores here before. I found this coffee shop smashed inbetween other stores. Its a very small shop, with extremely limited seating. I will say I liked it here, and I enjoyed my experience for a lot of reasons. Thier prices are cheap as all get out, which is great! I got a 12 ounce Mocha for $3.24. Awesome! Service here was amazing and friendly, and I will gladly return in the future. So why 3 stars? there were a whopping 2 tables to sit at inside, and thats kind of a problem. I also asked the girl about the internet, and she said the signal was in and out, and should be fixed in a few days after the holiday. For me, a coffee shop is a place that I like to park at for an hour, plug in my computer, surf the net, and drink coffee. I dont like sitting outside because A) I have no plug and my battery dies after an hour, and B) in the summer Im not sitting in the heat. So, even though I would return for the prices and service, I wouldnt recomend this place for anyone who plans on staying for more then 5 minutes. read more

They offer a decent range of sugar free Torani syrups, such as pumpkin spice, and the soy milk they use is nice that it's an organic brand. I lived around the corner from Seattle Espresso for years and was a frequent patron, coming here several times a week. As someone who doesn't really like coffee, I would always order the White Russian Mocha, which is basically white chocolate powder, milk, and espresso. Very sweet and sugary, with just a kick of caffeine! The employees are always great here, and once you've become a frequent customer, they will remember your name and your drink preferences. More than once, I've entered SE to find my drink already made, waiting for me on the counter!! So nice. I love Seattle Espresso's "Sick Tea," which is a combo of a few different teas. It's the best for when you're starting to feel sick. I like to buy some to keep at home for days when I'm feeling under the weather. If you ask nicely, they will even give you a few tea bags to take home (since it's a loose leaf tea). The pastry selection isn't very good, so don't come here for breakfast. They have a small selection of pastries and bagels, which are good quality but nothing special. Unfortunately there is no toaster for the bagels (hint hint, management!). If Cheers were a coffee shop... A place where everybody knows your name... Pretty much sums up how the staff interacts with the patrons and how the patrons interact with each other. I gotta give a shout out to the barista on the Tuesday morning shift. He took a bit of my heckling before making me a gorgeous cappuccino. Here was our exchange: Him: What will you have? Me: How is your cappuccino? Him: It's decent. Me: In that case, I'll have a latte. Him: No - actually it's really good. I've been a barista for [super big number of] years. Me: Ok then. I'll give it a try. And then he proceeded to make me a gorgeously crafted cappuccino - nailed the microfoam, nailed the espresso, nailed the pour. Me = very happy. I've been back - and the cappuccino continues to be epic. Thanks, Tuesday Morning Barista. I was also able to get a table and work at my computer for a few hours. It's not a huge place inside (definitely more relaxed than the outside appearance seems to suggest) but there was a good stream of people who come and go during the morning. read more
