I was immediately impressed upon entering the store. It felt as though I had crossed the other side of the wardrobe and ended up in Knitting Narnia. Shelves of beautiful fabrics, yarns, and so many more items you didn't know you needed, but now that you've seen them you just gots to have them. There are tables and chairs nestled about for groups to hang out and knit while enjoying a coffee or snack from the Firebird Cafe located in the back of the shop. The cafe has a lot of selection of sweet and savory snackums including gluten free items; however, when I asked about contamination risk for celiac peeps they weren't sure how safe it was, so I stuck to the hot chocolate which was hot..and chocolaty..and full of goodness. May I also note that they serve wine and I am just so on board with that. Wine, knitting, and someone brought their cat in on leash... I see no reason to ever leave this place. This shop offers tons of events like the one I participated in this weekend where they invite local artists to set up inside their store and peddle their wares. The excitement from their regulars the moment the doors opened was palpable. They were just all about getting their paws on the fun, beautiful, and handy items for sale. In addition to events like these, this shop stays super involved with their locals by hosting classes that range well beyond knitting and crocheting. Every individual I interacted with here brought their best energy and enthusiasm and were so upbeat I started wondering what the secret these knitters are putting in their herbal tea... and if they'd share some with me. If you're a crafty fellow definitely check this place out. You might just walk out with the find of a lifetime, some magical knitter's tea, or even get to pet a cat on a leash...the possibilities are endless.

Every…read moreother paint your own pottery place I've been to just let's you did your own thing without much guidance, but this studio has a wall full of examples techniques using different materials, e.g. Sponges, burlap, tape, feathers, there are instructions for the different techniques on all the tables, and the owner (manager?) was happy to give us advice and instruction. I branched out of my comfort zone and did some different techniques, including sponges, and I'm so happy with how they turned out! One negative review made her sound pushy and intrusive, but that wasn't our experience at all! She let us do our own thing and then was happy to give us advice when we asked. Also, when I was in the back washing my hands, she showed me some of the other customers recently finished pieces and spoke about then so lovingly, "They all have a story!" she gushed. I got the impression that she loves this studio, her customers, and the art that gets created here. Finally, the studio is a lovely space! Lots of windows, art work on the walls, painted pottery examples all around, and free parking in the back!

The faint, weak blue glow under 365nm light indicates another mineral involved but not uranium. I took photos with an actual uranium glass bracelet to highlight the difference. The vendor immediately refunded me which allowed for the removal of my 3 star review which was the goal - admitted by this vendor. I suspect the vendor knew it wasn't uranium glass and this product will now be sold in the vendors retail store. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

What a great decision. Katie is a wonderful teacher, sewing machines were provided and I quickly fell in love with quilting. The class was welcoming, encouraging and I enjoyed learning a new skill. I'm now working on my second quilt, with the goal of donating to hospitals. This experience has given me a relaxing activity and a new chapter in my life. Spacecraft fills a big void in a day and age where people have less space at home to invest in their creative endeavors. You can see that the ownership has a great sense of pride in this shop, every little detail makes the space cozy and inviting. In addition to providing a launch pad for a variety of independent projects, Spacecraft is also hosting workshops led by experienced artists and crafters. It is so amazing to see a store like this pop-up in the "New Seattle era," one that encourages the exploration our individual creativity while also fostering community. I asked if there vintage spray cans were for sale and the (Asian) lady at the registered seemed bothered. I got a collection at home and wanted to know more. She then proceeded to tell me I could check the price on the bottom. Later I asked about the Ny Quill caps, and she didn't want to pull out all of them. She said "they all look the same different color". I wanted to see the difference so I asked her to pull them all out any way. I chose the one's I needed at the time. I also asked about other tools for the cans and she seemed dismissive, annoyed and bothered with an undertone voice of "I don't want to be working here". It seemed like a struggle to get info from her. At that point I wanted to just walk out but I came from another state and thought might as well just get everything here vs ordering online. I asked about my points and she said I can get a freebie. I asked to see the two different options and choose the black streaker. She literally showed me one and said they didn't have anymore and gave me the mop. It was the way she went about the whole interaction since I got there. I've been to many shops and art stores and usually the workers are chill but this experience was not that great. Like I said I like art primo one of my favorite stores been buying for at least 15 years or more. Good product customer service was wack, I think she may need some training or have the owner talk to her because it's not good for business.
