I submitted an online inquiry on a Sunday and got a response within an hour (maybe less). They told me I probably had 1/6 of a truckload and an estimate for the cost. By the time I called to schedule my appt, I had a few more things. They said it could be a 1/4 of a truckload, but I'd get an estimate when the crew arrived. Dustin and John called 16 minutes before the start of their 3 hour pickup window to let me know they were on the way. When they arrived, they estimated 1/6 or 1/4 of a truckload, gave me the price including taxes and credit card fees, and asked if I was ok with that. They were very careful, safe, and efficient moving the items from both the inside and outside of the house. 20 minutes later, they gave me an invoice for 1/6 of a truckload, which was awesome because I was expecting to pay for 1/4. They came and took a load of mixed trash out of my driveway that I'd been gathering for months. Some old carpet, broken lawn furniture, a disassembled bunk bed, etc. The cost was reasonable, I got an appointment within a couple days of calling, they arrived on time (and called first), and the workers were great. They were wonderful! Very clear communication. Quick to respond to my request for an estimate. Quick to respond to my request to schedule the work. They arrived on time, answered all our questions, were friendly and professional. They worked hard and continuously and loaded up 7 cubic yards of broken concrete and all the old wooden adirondack chairs in less time than I thought it would take. They brought two trucks and loaded concrete in one, the chairs in the other, so clearly they do recycle! When they were done, you could not tell there had been a huge pile of concrete debris there. Their cleanup is meticulous. A volunteer work group, at the City owned park, across the street from my home, had some debris from a departed homeless encampment. They told me they could have a truck at our house between 3:30-4pm. They took my phone number & told me they would call when they were on the way. I'm a commercial property manager for a large business park. We had a gym tenant move out very quickly and had a 24 hour turn around time to clear the space of everything they left - it was a lot! I called Seattle Rubbish at about 9am and they asked when I needed it done, I told them TODAY! They made it happen for me - and sent me 4 guys and 2 empty trucks (Jamal & Alex were very helpful and friendly). It took them 2 hours to load both trucks to the max and there was still more stuff, so they had to come back the next day to finish. They were very thorough and efficient! They (Ty and Alex) went above and beyond because they even cleaned up the area by sweeping up the little debris that gets all over from moving (various little bits of garbage, screws, & bolts, etc.). Eli, Evan and Justin did a great job of removing my old couch, bringing in a new one, and hauling away the crate the new one came in. They were a bit late, but they called me ahead of time to let me know. In the past week I've had deliveries, housecleaners and window cleaners that were all late, and not a single one even bothered to call me about when they would be arriving. This business far exceeded my expectations recently and I could not be happier. Public Storage had increased my rent one too many times, so after 16 years I had had enough of them. A few weeks ago they assured me that Seattle Rubbish could get in, but, they were not allowed in. Troy and Eli (Seattle Rubbish) graciously elected not to charge me a dime for their wasted time. Two days ago I set all in motion a second time (after talking w/the PS DM) and here's what Seattle Rubbish did: they stopped by my house in Seattle to pick up keys, drove their dump truck up to Edmonds, made two removal runs, swept out the storage unit and delivered my keys back to me in Seattle. Nothing but positive things to say about working with these guys. Initial quote (based on images I texted to them) was on the lower end of quotes, but not so cheap as to raise concerns about the quality of the work. When they arrived and took a look at the stuff, the quote remained the same, which was obviously a good experience. Kamrin and Evan worked extremely quickly to remove the junk, and cleaned up well after. I then realized I had some extra stuff I might as well have them take, so had them assess, and they agreed to tack on the work for a marginal increase in cost/labor. I love working with Seattle Rubbish Removal. I have used them twice now and it's been a pleasure both times. The first time I scheduled in advance, the second time I called last minute needing a same day pickup during a move. Both times they arrived on time and we're just as pleasant and polite as could be. They were also crazy efficient, getting all of my items into the truck in 15 mins. I didn't have many items either time so I had to pay the minimum load fee but honestly, for the peace of mind of not having to deal with getting rid of a couch or a mattress myself, it was well worth it to me.
