We were greeted upon arrival and the counterperson was patient while we briefly pondered the menu items. The Homie without hesitation ordered the Rosemary Fried Chicken breakfast platter and a 12oz mocha. I went with the In Hog Heaven breakfast sandwich. Pro tips: study their menu beforehand to not hold up the queue during peak time. Also, one can order ahead for takeout. There's ample indoor seating, but can fill up. When it's not raining, there's bright outdoor seating too. Menu items are available a la carte or featured as breakfast biscuit sandwiches, breakfast biscuit entrees, brunch biscuit entrees, plus there's a refrigerated section with yogurt, granola parfaits plus cold cereals stored above. The Homie's breakfast platter had a substantial rosemary fried chicken cutlet, breakfast potatoes, fluffy scrambled eggs, and biscuit with sausage gravy. He was very pleased with this. He even returned with a friend on 6/21/25 and ordered it again! Also, the breakfast potatoes can be substituted with fresh fruit or sauteed vegies. The mocha was made with Columbia River Coffee Roaster beans, a bit sweet, but he was able to cut it with additional milk. The In Hog Heaven breakfast sandwich looked rich, but surprisingly it was just right and not a brick. The buttermilk biscuit was fresh and had a nice crumb. Looking at the photos of the biscuits served at Seaview Biscuit Company, we couldn't help but to be skeptical of the biscuits served here, given how wan and bready they looked. Could they actually be any good? We stopped by Seaview Biscuit Company on a Sunday morning to answer that question. When we pulled into the small gravel parking lot, we noted that the parking spots were a bit difficult to get in and out, especially since a large pickup was blocking the first spot! Upon entering the establishment, we found just how popular this place is. Even though it was the start of winter and there was a downpour outside, the place was packed full of patrons enjoying their food. We ordered at the register and took the very last table. The food took about 10 or 15 minutes to come out and soon afterwards, we began chowing down. 2 Biscuit and Gravy ($7.99) - Twice the amount of food for 2/3 the price of a single biscuit and gravy in Olympia? Yes please. The two biscuits are generously sized, cut in half and doused with a large amount of sausage gravy. The biscuits are quite good, very fluffy, and toasted on the inside with butter to give more richness and texture. They aren't layered or flaky at all, but are well formed and don't exhibit any floury taste (that I had in the biscuit in Olympia). They don't add any egg wash, resulting in a biscuit that has no trace of gloss on the top. Perhaps I've lived outside of the South for too long, but I found this biscuit to be pretty solid, and fantastic for this region. Moving on, the gravy is reddish in color, indicating the presence of a spicy element that tingles the mouth a bit. The sausage isn't as broken down as most other sausage gravies, so it still has a bit of a textural bite. I found the gravy to be perhaps a bit on the floury side, resulting in a bit of grittiness while eating. It's a good sausage gravy to accompany the biscuits, but is nowhere near best in class. (4/5) Fried Chicken Sandwich, Brunch ($11.99) - A slab of fried, breaded chicken breast, lettuce, and pickles are sandwiched between two cut halves of a biscuit. The chicken is white meat, but it's decently moist for this cut. It's breaded with a coarse rub that isn't that evenly applied, resulting in some areas that are crunchier than others. There's plenty of lettuce included, perhaps too much for the sandwich, and two pickles, sliced on a bias, which add an additional fresh acidic crunch to balance out the richness of the biscuit and chicken breading. The biscuit halves are slathered with a sweet and spicy sauce hot honey sauce. The taste reminds me a little of Thai sweet chili, with a bit less of the allium elements. Quite good. (4/5) Biscuit Donuts ($3.50) - An order comes with two biscuit donuts that are light and fluffy but not quite as much as a perfect yeast donut. The interiors are exceptionally moist and not crumbly at all, giving them a chew and crumb that are quite unlike any other donut: cake, yeast, or mochi. They are dusted with cinnamon and sugar, giving the the perfect sweetness level. They come steaming hot and almost burned my mouth on the first bite. Overall a very unique and delicious donut.
