He is a true artist and craftsman. He was particular about the details and checked his work repeatedly to make sure it was as perfect as possible. He also asked my friend and me to inspect his work,  and let him know if we can see any issues for him to fix. His positive and professional attitude made us very satisfied.  He is also very kind and friendly. When I enter the completed bathroom, the beauty of tiles makes the bathroom look so amazing and high end. I'm so happy with his work, that I'll have my future tiling projects done by Carver Tile and Stone.

The work we needed done was a shower reseal, some grout on 3 tiles, repair a piece of wall damaged…read moreby water near the shower, and to fix a patch of drywall in the ceiling. The shower reseal seems to be holding up as of today (about 1.5 weeks out from the job) but the ceiling repair was not done well (see photo). The paint dried to a different shade and looks awful. When I notified them of the issue the response I received seemed seemed to put the blame on us for not giving the right paint color and then when I assured them the color was correct, they said, "Well the paint is old so it's not going to blend well." The latter I could understand and would've gladly even paid more just to have the entire ceiling downstairs painted but it seemed clear they were not interested in making it right. The grout in the restroom has started to chip already but given the previous response, I will either fix that myself or hire another contractor to patch it up. I also had to ask twice for them to wear their masks. My wife is high risk for Covid as she has lupus so I was not happy to have 2 people I did not know without masks. We have had other maintenance people in the house over the past year and this was never an issue. Such a shame as their initial communication was great and estimate was fair (I always get at least 3 estimates). I'm giving 3 stars because the shower reseal and drywall in the restroom appears fine. The ceiling will need to be fixed and I'll need to re-grout. Update: As it turns out, we had a leak in the shower behind the wall that our plumber initially missed. The day after posting this review, our shower reseal fell apart not because of La Patrona but because of the leak behind the wall. We called our plumber (not very happy with them since when they initially came out they said there was not a leak) and the plumber fixed it. La Patrona resealed the shower at no extra charge and fixed the dry wall (with what appears as of now to be the correct paint color as opposed to what was in my initial picture) and even fixed the drywall the plumber cut into behind the shower at no extra charge.

Sam Tuttle was hired to do a build out on our metal building to be an Airbnb. In short Sam Tuttle is an con-artist. He mismanaged the funds for the job he was hired to do. He lied about how he spent the funds. He asked for more money when he knew he was going on vacation. Then he asked for the entire amount of the project when his agreement stated "three installments as the project moved forward." He refused to follow our vision. He did things his way and when we asked him for explanations he said he was going to need more money. In a meeting in our home he insulted our guest when they asked him a question. He got into a screaming match at our front door because he didn't want to answer legitimate questions about the concerns we were having. On this same day he walked off the job. Sam said he was a Christian and that he was honest. He was recommended by a close family friend which is why we hired him. There were huge discrepancies about how the money was spent. He told us different amounts on three different occasions which he why we wanted to talk to him. We knew based on the material at the job site and the number of days he worked that there was no way he could have spent all of the first installment. Because Sam walked off the job in anger we asked him for an amount we believed he should return to us. He agreed to this amount in an email and then has refused to pay us. He does not return our emails, he does not return our texts. This is the first time I have ever left a bad review for anyone. In this case, it is the right thing to do. Sam Tuttle is not ethical. He took advantage of me and my 82 year old mother. He lied to us. He mismanaged the funds and walked off the job in anger. I do not suggest you use him for any service. We regret trusting in him and allowing him into our home. Do not use his services. Stay away!!
