We ordered carryout and took it back to our hotel room for dinner. Both pizzas were very salty, and the garlic knots were hard and chewy. For $48 I expected more. This quiet little place next to Castucci's in Southport has nice offerings in quaint quarters but what they do, they do well. We typically get a plain pizza, well done. The sandwiches are very good and they do have some calzone/Stromboli/traditional spaghetti dishes. Not a ton of full meal Italian dinners but that is what next door is for. While you're waiting for your to-go order or with your dinner if you eat in you can grab a beer and/or a glass of wine. We'll be back! read more

We visited here on a Sunday after church and couldn't believe we were the only ones here. Once we tasted our food we were definitely confused... why aren't more people here? We ordered 2 pizzas and 1 pasta and everything tasted so good. The actual restraint itself is adorable- with plenty of seating. The portions were large -especially for the price. We spent $60 for 2 of us but have enough leftovers for at least 2-3 more meals each. We asked for the pepperoni pizza to be cooked well done (we like it a little toasty)- it came out perfect. The pizza had a lot of pepperoni on it and it was good pepperoni- a little spicy. The pesto on the chicken pesto pizza was full of flavor. The garlic knots were fresh and garlicky. Sebby's is a very nice small pizza place. Nicely appointed with tile, very clean. The pizza selection gives a lot of options. We tried the Sausage and Broccoli Rabe with Ricotta. Very delicious however the crust was just a bit too dry at the edges. We had the 12"/6 slice size between 2 of us but it could easily have fed 3. Definitely good pizza. read more

Every restaurant has bad days, but it's about how the people that work there handle it that matters. Today (Dec 31st), I ordered a Cheesteak Sub via DoorDash. When I received the order, the sandwich had almost no meat in it. It was basically just bread with a small amount of steak and cheese. Now, I have ordered from Sebby's many times, so I thought I would give them a call, not to complain but to let them know. I wanted nothing in return. The woman that answered simply did not seem to care. I told her what happened and she did not say she was sorry, just that 'she would let them know'...whatever that means. She went on to say that everything is portion controlled so it's unlikely there was an issue. I then told her that I have ordered before and this has never happened. Bottom Line: I want to support local businesses, but it's not just about having good food. It's also about the service you get, especially when things don't go right. My boyfriend and I got a 12" Chicken Artichoke Pizza to share, it was delicious and we ate every last bite! We went around 3 pm on the weekend so we missed the lunch and dinner rush. We called to place an order for pick-up around 6pm and after 5 minutes of calling and getting a busy signal, I finally got through and was asked if I would be ok being put on hold. After 15 minutes on hold, I could hear I was no longer on hold and could hear the noise of the restaurant but I was clearly forgotten and they couldn't hear me saying hello repeatedly. I hear a ring of another call coming in and was hung up on. After calling back and not getting through, seemingly having the call picked up but then putting down the receiver to not deal with customers calling in, I gave up. We decided to drive over to try to place the order in person and my brother finally got through and placed the order. We were told it'd be 30-35 minutes, we arrived at the specified time and waited 20 more minutes for our food to be ordered. We waited without acknowledgment while the single person in front of house cleared tables even though only people waiting for takeout were there. We would've appreciated an honest estimate of when the pizza would be ready and some level of customer service. read more

We placed our order came back 30 minutes lates when then said the pizzas would be ready. Only one person on staff and she cleared tables and took orders before waiting on us. Hubby and I decided to try for breakfast. Sat at bar. The mimosas are good, but expensive. Short wait. I tried the cheesesteak omelet. Everything was great except the meat wasn't seasoned. Lots of veggies. The hashbrowns are really small cut potatoes. I asked for cheese and onions. The were good plain and with the onions and cheese. My husband had the French toast platter with sausage and hashbrowns. The egg was cooked perfectly. Two sausage patties. He said it was a solid four. Let's talk about what happened. The server put in a western omelet for me - no cheese or onions. A pancake platter for the hubby. When they brought it out we said we'd just eat it. The server then said it was the folks beside us food - did we eat it? She then took it away. Then she said, that was your food. I said it was totally wrong. She then realized she put it in wrong. So we ended up with plain hash browns and the cheesy ones and somehow my husband got an order of grits. He loved them. They made it right. For a $40 breakfast it was chaotic. My wife and I were in town on vacation and popped over to Sebby's for breakfast. We landed here after the first couple places we stopped at had extended waits. It was a blessing in disguise! We called ahead and were told they had about a 5 minute wait so we added our name to the list and were seated almost as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. Started with coffee which wasn't as strong as I personally prefer but enjoyable nonetheless. My wife got a vegetable omelette which she loved and had enough for leftovers. I ordered the shrimp and grits special that included bacon and chorizo. Grits were cheesy and patties and had a nice crispness to them. Didn't look like much of a serving but I was pleasantly surprised. Only flaw on the food was that it did seem to take a while to come out. The highlight was the staff we interacted with. It's tight quarters in the restaurant and for them I would imagine a bit chaotic but everyone smiled and laughed with us throughout. I don't remember our waiter's name but if I could have that level of customer service everywhere I went, I'd be a happy consumer!
