But Nails Today has been such a hidden gem. I've been here a few times now, and every visit has been a great experience. 4.5- I love my nails. I was able to get builder gel filled, with beautiful art for a cocktail party. The artist, Kim, did a wonderful job, after creating the look with another staff member based in my clueless rambling of stuff I liked. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. In less than 48 hours, all of my nails are lifting (pictured). My ring finger is swollen and hurts (I think from the nippers). My third toe on my left foot is also swollen and sore from being filed into the toe. I used to love this place for giving the best pedicure and massages and being so detailed. I've been having my nails done at Nails Today for a number of years. Excellent work and friendly staff. Kim is my favorite!

Initial thoughts on scheduling is that based off of the pedicure menu this was a nail place a step above the rest. It is just a hole in the wall pedicure place. I scheduled for 2:30 and received a phone call about an hour before asking if I could come in at 3 instead; no big deal, I'm pretty flexible but it did impact my afternoon errands. When I got there I was snapped at to go wash my hands even though I was only coming in for a pedicure. There was a sign at the sink asking clients to scrub their hands with an astringent cleanser and a scrub brush; no way am I going to be putting a chemical on my hands. Also, my hands were never touched. Pedicure was OK. The woman who cleaned my toes up trimmed live cuticle which was painful and frankly is illegal. Massage was ok. Paint job good. Wouldn't go back. Oh and the salon reeks of perm. read more

I went for a few things: a full on leg massage and lotions/wax/etc, pedicure and gel manicure (magnetic polish to do a cats eye with a space theme ) I've been to posh day spas and other nail salons and it was always inconsistent with each technician - either a good massage and an OK set of nails, or good nails and a disappointing massage/scrub / exfoliation. I got the BEST , most detailed and attentive treatment to my nails and an amazing and massage/ scrub. I highly recommend this place. I normally only take the time to write positive reviews, but my daughter's and my experience just now was such a negative experience, that I can't not say something. Especially since we chose to come here based on the previous reviews, and feel completely ripped off financially as well as from having a relaxing experience. First we called to set an appointment, making sure they knew we were looking for two pedicures (and specified the specific pedicure that lasts an hour). The gal said 2:30 would work for two pedicures and confirmed which kind of pedicure we were wanting. We showed up on time, and proceeded to wait until about 3:10 before they told us to go sit in the chairs. One of the basins had cold water, but they had left to return to the clients they were working on, so we couldn't ask them to heat it up. When a tech finally came back to start the pedicure, we realized it was just going to be one gal moving back and forth between us. Mind you, I paid for the most expensive and longest pedicure they offer (the firehouse something or other) because with money tight, my daughter and I do this once a summer and I wanted to splurge on her for our annual appointment. We paid $60 each for a 1 hour pedicure that lasted 20 minutes tops for the hands on experience, including the polish removal and application, but took us 2 hours from start to finish to arrive and leave. I will say that I can see that it would be enjoyable if you had an existing relationship with them. The other clients looked to be regulars, so they each had their own technicians and looked to have a very luxurious and relaxing experience, which is why it was defeating to walk out or there feeling taken advantage of. $123 later plus tip, it feels like I paid for a glorified polish change. I'm so disappointed that this was the one pedicure experience for the summer of 2024. I wish she had just told us they were too busy to accommodate us today, so my daughter and I could have gone somewhere else and actually had an enjoyable experience. Would definitely not recommend going here unless you have an established relationship with them. It will be a huge waste of time and money. read more

I started getting acrylic fills again back in April and had gone to 4 other nail salons in the area before I found Nails today - they are now my go to! The cuticle care along with the fills is an added plus. Throughout the process, they always check in and make sure I am happy with how the nails are looking. Unlike other salons I didn't feel like I was being rushed even tho she runs the place alone and was busy. I was looking for a nail salon to have a Mommy and Daughter date with my little one and I stumbled upon this place. When we got in, we were greeted by one of the ladies and she seated us right away. My daughter's nail tech was very nice and engaging towards my 6 year old daughter, which I think was really nice. This was her fiest time getting her nails done, so it made her comfortable when she was talking to her. I love my nail tech as well because she was very gentle. I told her I have a scratch on the corner of my thumb and she was very careful not to scrape or put acetone on it. We had a 12:00 appointment for shellac manicures (and mine needed to be removed) - they took us back :20 later; by 12:45 they had the shellac removed- at which point I opt'd out of shellac for the a top coat. I decided today that I really wanted a pedicure so I called Nails Today and they said I could come right over. I had read some good reviews so figured it was worth a try. I meant to get the soy candle pedicure but totally forgot to ask for it when I got there. The regular pedicure though was FANTASTIC. I really appreciated that when she cut my nails shorter she didn't just cut them as short as she could (this happens to me a lot!) whenever they ask, I always say just a little bit and I swear most just push the clippers against the end of my toe and cut. So when she asked and then carefully cut and shaped my nails - I was already impressed and happy. Others said the massage was great and they're right. I leaned back and absently watched the tv. Loved my pedicure here! From the initial phone call, they were so sweet and accommodating! I'm 9 months pregnant, due any day, and wanted to get a last-minute Shellac pedicure so it was nice to call on the way and be fit in (they had about 5 customers there, and 5-6 employees working and I think I got there just in time after someone left). I chose this place because of the reviews, and when I arrived, I realized I've already been here once. No complaints the first time either - from what I recall (2 years ago, ish), they were great then, too! The service and quality here was great. No pressure to chat during the service (I like to come and zone out/relax/catch up on work on my phone). They did ask a few questions about my pregnancy, etc, but nothing felt awkward or forced - they are seriously SO NICE. They even gave me a small towel to put over my lap since my casual dress was a bit short and I was pulling it down lol. The ONLY thing I did not like was when they cleaned (removed) parts of my big toe nails on the sides (I've been told that is not something someone should ever do? and I've had a HORRIBLE experience elsewhere that ended up with a necessary small ingrown toenail "surgery" on my big toe before) BUT I did not clarify that beforehand, and quite frankly, I know 99% of people do this, it didn't hurt at all, very minimal cutting, so whatever.
