I was going to another salon for gel pedicure religiously every month, over time I noticed my big toe nail had been SO overfiled, it has dents in it... I looked up some better products and DAZZLE DRY was recommended. This salon is certified for dazzle dry and has awesome color options. It dries super quick and is strong, holding up just like gel, which is great. I have been in 2 times and really enjoy the vibes. It is a very professional and relaxing salon. Good music and staff. I only did pedi and it was great, but I don't know what else they offer there. We were a group of 3. A cis man, cis woman, and a trans person and the staff were nice and professional to all of us. I loved the hot rock gloves. I have been going to Blooming Nails for at least 5 years. They are consistently ready for my appointment and consistent in the quality of care they give me when I am there. Sarah and Soyoung are fun to visit with. I love the video of beautiful places to travel all over the world. The music they play is relaxing with a good vibe. I love supporting Bothell's small businesses. If you haven't tried "Dazzle Dry" nail polish, you need to. It dries faster than Shellac and doesn't damage your nails. Great place for some much needed pampering. I stopped in for a last minute pedicure and they were able to accommodate me. The staff was professional, efficient, and friendly. My pedicure even came with a hot stone foot massage, exfoliating rub, and a heat pack to relax the muscles. The massage chairs were comfortable and clean. Atmosphere was pleasant with the perfect ambient background music and a large screen TV showing a travel program. Overall, a very clean and relaxing nail place in the heart of downtown Bothell. A few things to remember if you are planning a visit. The Main Street in Bothell is currently going through road construction and there are detours depending on which direction you are coming from. Parking is never a problem. The shop is located on the corner of Main and 101 Ave. Weekday afternoons are sometimes busy however they have always accommodated my last minute visits. I got a gel pedicure from Jin today. She was very friendly, gentle and took her time. I enjoyed the experience. It even came with a hot stone massage at the end, and the place seemed nice and clean. I did ask for a navy base with gold glitter that faded out and had an inspiration photo to show (Included for reference). The nails turned out ok, but the gold is a bit more globby than a smooth fade out, and it was an extra $10 to get glitter on each toe so my total was $54 plus tip. I'd go back but ask for something simpler like just a one color job. read more

Great spot for a pedicure! Right on Main street in downtown Bothell with plenty of free street parking all around, they are open for business finally (since closing in March due to state policy) and take appointments via phone. I called on Saturday to make appointments for Monday and we were in and out with plenty of hand sanitizer in less than an hour. We weren't offered any beverages while we were there otherwise it would have been an ideal experience. The ladies who worked on our feet and legs were friendly and did not talk to each other during the service. It was great for my friend and I who were wearing masks to be able to catch up and relax. I really enjoyed the heated foot sacks they put our feet in (in protected bags of course) before they applied the polish to my toes. This was something I hadn't experienced before. read more

I went in around 2 in the afternoon on a Saturday. It didn't look extremely busy, but most of the pedicure seats were in use. Upon arrival I asked the lady at the front desk how long of a wait for a pedicure. She told me "No wait. Right now." I was seated right after I chose a color. It took at least 10 minutes for the lady to get started. My pedicure was very rushed and felt really incomplete. The tech kept having to get up to answer the phone, seat new customers, take payments, etc. She cut my nails, but not short enough. I asked for it shorter and I felt like she just ignored me. She continued on to clean my nail beds. My leg massage was non existent and she never talked to me at all. At some point she wrapped my feet in plastic bags and placed them in these electronic warming booties then walked off to start another customer's pedi. It wasn't until after a few minutes I realized they may not have even been on. I thought it felt warm but only because my feet were just probably sweating in the plastic bags. Another tech noticed me wiggling my feet around and asked if they were too hot. I told her I didn't even feel anything and asked if they we're on. She looked down and flipped a switch. My original tech hadn't turn on the warmer at all! Then literally 2 minutes later, my tech came back and turned off the switch to the booties (thinking I had been sitting with them on for a while). When it came time for the polish she began on my right foot and had to get up to handle a payment. She started the other foot, leaving 2 toes unfinished on my right. I told her that I still needed polish, she looked at me, annoyed, and said, "Yes yes, I will do it." She went back to my right foot, finished the last two toes, put a second coat on the already polished ones and called it a day. So I have a double coat on my feet...all but two toes. Whatever. I'm for sure not coming back. The experience wasn't the best and the customer service was terribly lacking. I gave one star because they did have free Wi-Fi! Hah. It was very useful for the amount of time I had to wait and be interrupted. read more

I had an hour to kill before a job interview up the street, so I decided to try out this nail salon. I went in at its opening, at 0900 hrs. The pros: this salon is awfully cute, located on the corner with a big, open and airy interior. The facility is very clean. I loved the huge screen on the wall and the dazzling (yet relaxing) DVD of European vistas (all shot from above, aerial view) that they played. I like how there was no problem with on-street parking, or how I was seen without an appointment. I had asked simply for a manicure, as I needed my acrylics filed down (or trimmed) and my cuticles trimmed, and the lady said no problem, she could do this and get me out the door in 45 minutes (as I requested). And she did, and my nails looked pretty decent! And I loved the hot towel put on my hands and the hand lotion they used. And I also liked the downward-oriented polish drying fan (I've never seen one like this before). The cons: the lady never looked at me, made zero eye contact, and didn't say a word to me. Like, not a word! I looked up and smiled at her multiple times, and I said "that looks great!" a few times, and nada, a robot might as well have been the nail tech. I know there's a language barrier here, but come on! How hard would it be to smile? And there was another lady, setting up the nail stations, and she looked SOOOO unhappy and dour, too. This doesn't seem like a happy work environment at all. My nail job took 35 minutes, and at the front counter, my tech said this mani cost $15. I thought this odd, as the huge sign above the desk clearly says that manicures cost $12. And this includes polish coatings (I just wanted a clear top coat). So I don't know why they upped the cost for my mini-mani. I didn't question it, though, as I had to run. And I was quite happy with the job they did. But it was odd. read more

I didn't have any problem with parking which was nice being on Main Street. When I first walked in I thought it looked like a cute Salon. I was meeting a friend there and she actually had made appointments to get pedicures done. One of the ladies asked me to go pick a nail polish, when I had I was sat next to my friend. The water was too hot and I told then multiple times until they fixed it. Once I was finally relaxed I told the lady I would like to get a manicure as well... She seemed frazzled and like she had no interest in doing extra services... I told them to forget about it. Never have I ever been in a salon that didn't welcome you wanting extra services. The overall pedicure was alright. They messed by my big toe and has no interest in fixing it. After they were done they were doing other things and me and my friend we're sitting there letting are toes dry and talking. Five minutes in one of the ladies came over and pretty much told us it was time for us to go interrupting our talk. I was not impressed by their services and can't believe i paid so much for such awful service. This was once my favorite nail salon, but something has changed. The relaxed atmosphere soon becomes tense when the owner enters, and it affects everyone. Six weeks ago I had a pedicure and the technician nicked my cuticle so bad she had trouble getting the blood to stop. That can happen. However, yesterday I went again and this time a different technician scraped my toe so hard that I have pain and a wound. It still hurts today and I'll be wearing a bandaid for several days. After several requests, she finally cut the big toenail shorter, but the edge is rough. The hot rocks were not hot and the pedicure was rushed at the end to accommodate drop in customers. In the rush to get ready for new customers, it appeared the cleaning of the soaking tub was very sloppy and not thorough. My friend and I were ushered to other chairs while our nails dried and it seemed like we were forgotten. I'm quite sad to say that I won't be returning. Two consecutive negative experiences were enough and my toe hurts. read more

Anna does really great shellac manicures. I have tried many salons and have experienced peeling shellac, nail cracks, and less than optimal application at many locations. My last four manicures have been here, with Anna. My nails always look exactly the same three weeks later (only with nail grow out). What a rip off! First of all, my color (shellac polish) doesn't go all the way to the cuticle. second of all, my massage was less than a minute per hand...if that. Not worth $30 imo. This is my favorite place in the Bothell area to get a pedicure. They always honor your appointment time and I have hardly ever had to wait in the two years I've been going there. The ladies are friendly and professional. The environment is clean, relaxing and elegant. The massage chairs are comfortable and in good shape. They give a great pedicure, with a soak, massage, and even warm booties. The nail polish color selection (for regular and shellac) is excellent. And this is a small thing, but I love that they organize their nail polishes on the wall in color order so you can more easily find the color you want! Don't even bothered going in. I live a couple blocks away so I decided to give this place a try. Went in around 3pm on a Saturday. As soon as I walk in the girl asked me what I wanted, I said just take dip off and manicure, she looked at my nails and said no sorry we don't have time. Even tho they had 2 hrs left till closing. I wouldn't even had mined waiting to be helped but she wasn't even nice and basically denied me service. I always wondered why that place looked empty and now I see why. "...All in all I felt angry, ripped off, and taken aback with my toes mauled. Don't go- just about anywhere is better." Went in at 11:45 on my birthday, walk in. Wanted to get nails and toes done but wasn't sure I would have the time considering my class started at 1:15 a few blocks up the street. Two employees and one manager looking lady, two customers in hand dryers finishing up. The lady who sat me down in the footbath seemed nice enough. I asked if they had chrome nails options and they said they did but what they brought me as options was the furthest from chrome I have yet to have someone try to sell me. I chose just a regular shellac and after about two or three minutes of observing the pace of work I felt safe saying that if they felt they could fit it into my time constraints that I would also like my fingers done in the same color and the lady said she could. She was nice and gentle but about 5 minutes into the pedi the manager lady comes over and tells pedi lady something I'm thinking was along the lines of "Its time for your 15 minute break, i'll take over." I thought this was kinda weird- I mean- why not have her take it after she's done but whatever I wasn't caring. So manager lady sits down and starts just not giving a hell! She's trying to get off some shellac that's proving stubborn because it had glitter in it (that's what she was muttering about the problem being anyways) and so she's just tearing into my foot first with the file and then the clippers and what not- I don't know all I know is I was gritting my teeth in discomfort and though trying not to it was very obvious I was not enjoying her fast and near violent method. But I was in a hurry so i wasn;t going to complain. she asked about the manicure and I explained my time constraints and said I was okay with not getting the extras like exfoliations and lotion massage if it freed up enough time for the nails. she said it was no problem. Thank god pedi lady came back from break and got manager lady off my feet. The manager lady walks around for a bit and gets the stuff together for my hands and she's iterally just sat down and started filing the first nail when a lady walks in at 12:45 and says she has a 1:00 appointment for her and a friend. Manager lady of course leaves to talk to her which one would expect but I was shocked that instead of returning to finish my nails she comes and gathers her manicure crap and yanks the white towel from under my hand like a magician doing a magic trick! I was like- um what? needless to say she never returns and the 1:00 lady and her friend who just showed up get the full attention of the newly freed up other worker and the manager lady. So now it's 1:10 and I'm just getting done with the pedicure and I'm like- Thanks thats all I can get I'm outta time- might I add that though she still squeezed in the exfoliation, lotion rub and hot stones it was laughable how short it was- it would have been fine if we'd gotten the hands done but not without! I go up to pay and hand my card over and manager lady comes running over to the machine and she and pedi lady are discussing something obviously about my bill. I don't know what but when she hands me back my card and the slip I'm shocked that they're charging me 50 bucks for taking off my polish, clipping my toenails and repainting shellac. I was like "a pedicure is 50 bucks!?" and she's like "Oh you had shellac and pedicure and polish removal" I was so pissed and almost felt taken advantage of- MAYBE if tit had been the best ever but evem then I've never paid 50 for just low quality painful basic foot service- no parafin wax, no stand out anything-. I tipped 2.00 which is a big insult coming from me and only did that because pedi lady wasn't SO bad, especially when compared to manager lady who I kinda wanted to tell to shove it or at least offer some helpful advice on the VERY BASICS of customer service. My daughter, her bridal party, and I went for manicures the day before the wedding. We had a fantastic time, and our nails were shiny and beautiful. That was July 10th. Here it is, nearly 4 weeks later, and my gel polish has only now begun to peel--it *never* cracked or chipped. I've been going to this place for about a year, but off and on for the last couple of months. I was there every other week, like clockwork, for Shellac .... and then I had a horrible experience with someone who clearly didn't know how to do a proper manicure, let alone Shellac. She kept trying to file and buff my nails while they were soaking wet (hello, splitting and breakage!), and argued with me when I told her not to. She then sliced my cuticle open. When we got to the Shellac part, she painted my nails like she was using regular polish - layer after layer after layer. The next day, of course, there was chipping. It took me a good 6 weeks to return, but I figured I would give this place another shot because it really is a cute shop and a great location. Bad idea. Today I went in and apparently interrupted the ladies' breakfast time because no one came to help me for ten minutes. Just sitting there, in a completely empty salon, listening to them talk and laugh in the breakarea in back. When the nail tech shoved the Shellac colors at me to chose, I told her I wanted to look at them for a little while to decide, but asked that she start my manicure since I needed to get to work. She argued with me and told me to pick a color first. What?! So, on to the manicure. Again, I had to tell the tech not to file or buff my nails while they were wet. When my polish went on, she didn't seem interested in letting them set for the two minutes required. I had to force her to let me time them appropriately. The color that she decided to put on my nails was NOT the color i'd chosen, and she put imy polish on so that I have space immediately - she did not paint up to the cuticle. The tech knew that I was unhappy with my experience, but didn't bother to try to make anything better. Ditto for all the other ladies just milling about doing nothing. Needless to say, I will not be back here. I've referred quite a few friends and coworkers here, and will certainly make sure that they find a better place to go as well. After seeing all the good reviews on Yelp, I was anxious to try this place for a much needed pampering. I set up an appointment for me and my friend to get pedicures, hoping this could be a permanent go-to place when I needed a me day. We were disappointed with how quickly our pedicure took when it is listed it should last 45 minutes -- I'd say it was over in 25. The heat boot my technician put on me had no heat to it, so my foot just basically sat in plastic for 10 minutes. My friends technician seemed friendly enough, but mine seemed irritated and unhappy to be there -- and I know my feet aren't that bad! It was really busy that morning so I understand the need to move people through chairs efficiently, but we felt more like we were being shoved along on a conveyor belt. Also, no topcoat was applied and we weren't that impressed with how our feet felt and looked. To take the words of an earlier reviewer, I could have done the same job (or better) myself. So unfortunately, I'm not quite sure what the hype was about, and disappointed my experience didn't live up to it. read more

Don't bother making an appointment because they will not keep it. I made an appointment for a pedicure at 2:00pm and didn't get sat down till 2:25pm. I was annoyed but realized they were busy and I was trying to be patient and understanding. What really pissed me off though was finally someone came to do my nails and then a minute later a woman instructed her to leave me and start working on someone's nails who came in way after me. Also there is no where to sit and wait. I am 9.5 months pregnant and had to stand and wait for 25 minutes before being seated. After the woman left who was going to do my nails left I asked the closest staff member to me how long it was going to be. She said she didn't know. I got up and left.
