After some back-and-forth, she refused to do my Bible verse tattoo and encourage me to do my secondary tattoo which I chose to be a sword. She refused to do my lettering because she said it was too small, but as you can see by the tattoo in my arm, she can easily draw small lettering. So that was odd. Then, when it came to the placement of the tattoo, because of the location on my shoulder, the tattoo was not straight. She actually yelled at me because I wasn't satisfied when the stencil went on my arm. The other guy stepped in and he was able to correct the issue by using a ruler and measuring the distance from my existing tattoo to get the evenly spaced apart tattoos. This was odd. Once the placement was good to go, the tattoo experience was good. Due to the customer service skills of the other guy in the shop, I asked Erika to give me his info so I can have him do my Bible verse tattoo. I sent him a message on Instagram, but he ignored me and hasn't responded. I would not recommend the shop. A tattoo is a permanent piece of art on your body, for the most part. If someone yells at you because you're not happy with the tattoo or the placement of it, it is simply bad customer service. I paid her above asking, a good tip and also paid her $100 because I missed a previous appointment. Time is valuable. I anticipate Erica will grow her patience and customer service skills. She will be the complete package when this happens. But if all you care about is an extremely talented artist and tattoo professional, then Erika is your person.

I did come in with my own design but resizing and placement was my main concern. I did one consultation just to talk about the original design and how to modify it to be the size I wanted it to be. The second consultation was for placement and refining the size. I really liked that I was able to get the stencil placed on me before "signing off" on the design. Because my schedule was very flexible and I live not too far from the shop, scheduling was straight forward. We worked out a day and time that worked best for both of us and I paid a deposit to hold the date. I ended up coming to my appointment 20 minutes early and Noli was already ready to go. This wasn't my first tattooing experience so I knew what to expect. The final product turned out better than I expected. Noli added more depth to my tattoo that made it look like an artist took a paintbrush to my hip.The level of detail in the amount of time (2.5hr) was amazing; I'm impressed. The only reason why I docked a star is that, during the consultation process, there were a few times where we would schedule a time and then I would get a last minute rescheduling request. Because I live close, it wasn't too much of nuisance but it was a little frustrating.

I guess that's why all of my previous piercings never healed properly and closed up. I wanted to get them re-pierced and after researching tattoo parlors in the area, I chose Sacred Souls because of all of the high reviews. I made an appointment online for a 30 minute ear piercing session, but I did not specify that I wanted 5 piercings (4 lobe/1 helix). Sin was gracious enough to accommodate my request. He explained their full process and showed me their starter jewelry. Once I picked out what I wanted, he took me to their piercing area in the back which looked clean, sterile, and well-organized. The room would look just like a doctor's office if it wasn't for the fun decor. The piercing itself kind of turned into a breathing/meditation session. Sin gave me a squish ball to squeeze and then his voice became calm and soothing. He gently advised me to take 2 deep breaths as he went forward with each piercing and these were not too painful. I was at a 3 on a scale of 1-10. Afterwards, Sin went over the after-care instructions. Despite my mistake with the scheduling, I never felt rushed during my appointment. It is obvious that Sin is knowledgeable and takes great care with the whole process and that safety and cleanliness are important to him. The gal at the front register was friendly and helpful as well. I felt like the pricing for the multiple piercings and starter jewelry was fair. I appreciated receiving a follow-up text the next day and so far, everything seems to be healing well. If you want to get your ears pierced, don't go to the mall like I did before.
