We started going to Section Street Pizza because the one down the street (which does have good pizza but...) is so loud and isn't ventilated well. The food, service and ambiance are great and it has that great Fairhope vibe! The pizza really is so fresh and amazing and they have lots of pizza options plus other things like calzones, salads and desserts. I also love that you can sit outside in a nice courtyard or inside during hot or inclement weather. We either eat in or get takeout from Section Street Pizza 1-2 times per week. Highly recommend! We had cauliflower crust pizzas, and they were wonderful. The crusts are thin and crispy. You would likely not think they're veggie crusts. My husband's beer had a great "pour." We did wait a bit for our food, as they were busy, but that was no issue as we weren't in a hurry and the weather outside was nice. Our pup sat outside with us, as did another customer's. What a wonderful surprise this place is! When you walk in your greeted by a large pizza oven, so classy and unique. The establishment was very clean and well kept. My wife, who's been a Keto lover for a while now, ordered a "pizza bowl" which wasn't on the menu and they were happy to oblige, and it was incredible! I ordered the 10" boss pizza which had shredded prosciutto on top, such a nice touch. The crust was cooked to perfection. The staff was so friendly and warm. We went to Section Street Pizza for our date night on Saturday and we were pleasantly surprised!!! Admittedly, I went in with the attitude of "They better get ready to wow me like The Ravenite!". The good thing is that they did! The two are simply not comparable because they differ so much. We got The Boss which was fresh mozzarella slices, homemade tomato sauce, Italian sausage, ground beef, prosciutto, bacon and pepperoni. My wife and I used to like going there. Tonight we noticed everyone that was seated after us were already getting food. My wife brought that to our server, who later reported our pizza would be done in 7 minutes. I assume that's how long it takes to cook after an order has been dropped. Wait time on our pizza was over one hour. Now I get it that it might have been a busy night, but UNAPOLOGETIC was their position! Our bill was $35.00, and I still reluctantly decided to leave a tip. Finally a Pizza place for the modern era. For years it was dictated that all pizza places should have grungy interiors, resembling that of a 90's Seattle Punk Rock scene. Along with dark interior and the unwashed surfaces there should also be three arcade machines in the corner that are broken from years of abuse and neglect. But like so many of the questionable choices of the previous generation, they appear to be going the way of the dodo and being replaced with common sense and decency. In place of the, nonsensical, low lit, dirty appearance, Section Street Pizza is vibrant, clean, modern, and elegant. The interior is well lit, warm, and inviting. I'm no longer nervous about my toddler touching all the surfaces at a pizza place because it appears to they clean all the surfaces on a regular basis. This makes it an easy winner for dining in. The service is fantastic. The servers are always polite and attentive. One time particular sticks out in my mind, my daughter decided it would be hilarious if she talked over everybody. (She's two, so she thinks lots of things are funny) The young man waiting our table smartly distracted her with some crayons and quickly got our order, all while smiling and never showing any agitation. Lastly, but most importantly the food. This is pizza made as it should be. The crust is the perfect thickness. Not to thin but not thick. It is fired in a brick oven leaving a slight char on the bottom but perfectly so where its not a burnt taste but an aromatic smokey wood taste, that first touches your tongue as you munch down on a slice. The sauce is well seasoned and not overly abundant. In my opinion it is the perfect ratio of crust, to sauce, to cheese. I understand everyone has their own opinions some like thicker crust, some want sauce for days, and for others the more cheese the better. However, for me, a pizza is all three working together to make the amazing flavor that is pizza and here at Section Street Pizza they have figured this out. The flavors are always amazing, even a simple cheese pizza is flavorful without being to overwhelming with the aforementioned combination. Making every bite enjoyable. Constantly when I eat there I have to remind myself to slow down and not to eat to fast, the food is just that good. I look forward to my next pizza there. I know there are few pizza selections in the Fairhope area and out of politeness I won't name them because they all fall up short to Section St. Pizza. So rather it be dine in or take out. We went for the second time today because the first time we went our crust was completely burnt on the bottom. We knew they had not been opened long, so we decided to give it another try. Well, we had the same experience...burnt crust again. I'm talking every bite was nothing but a burnt taste in your mouth. Our waitress asked how the pizza was and we explained that this was our second visit and showed how burnt the crust was, again. She said there was a new cook and said she was sorry and would tell the person in the back. Best Pizza on the Gulf Coast!!! We have dined in and also ordered take-out and both were phenomenal! They were out of caesar salad when we dined in but were willing to give us the caprese salad without chicken as a substitute, and it was delicious! Just the right amount of balsamic and fresh mozzarella mixed in with ripe tomatoes and fresh greens. We had The Boss pizza as well and it was amazing! I was worried it might be overwhelming with the number of different meats, but it was just the right mix and their crust is fresh and delicious. When we ordered take-out we had their hummus and pita - the hummus was definitely fresh-made and the pita pieces were light and tasted great. We ordered the Arugula Bianca pizza for take-out another time and, just like The Boss, it was cooked to perfection! We also tried their dessert pizza which was a show-stopper!! They make brick oven pizza, which can have dark spots because it's cooked in a hot brick oven (duh), but we have had NO burnt crust or anything negative at all any time we've been, and I truly believe of all the pizza I've tried in Fairhope, Daphne, and Mobile that this is the best. The crust is a real winner for me - and they do a nice balance of the toppings so that everything works well together. We're actually planning on going back there for dinner tonight! read more

This is by far THE BEST brick oven pizza I have ever had! And it is right here in Fairhope. My standing order is the cauliflower crust pizza with olive oil, spinach, mushrooms, garlic, green bell pepper, red onion, pineapple, feta, and parmesan cheese. It is crispy and perfect EVERY time. Richard puts the shaved parmesan on last so it comes out just barely melted and loaded with flavor. I call it my 9-mile pizza because I have to drive 9 miles from Malbis to get it and it's worth the drive. No more frozen pizzas for me! read more

Excellent pizza! I lived in Naples Italy for two years and this is as close to Italian pizza as I've had in this area. We had The Original and The Boss, both were excellent.
