Pizza is the usual hand tossed variety, some interesting speciality pizzas. Our dog was with us so it was a plus to be able to eat outside- no inside eating. They also have ice cream and snow cones. Service is rather slow and not the most friendly. read more

We arrived early Friday night just in case they were busy. The parking lot was full when we arrived, mostly because they only have 5 parking spaces and 1 handicap space. We ordered inside and based on the pictures we saw on line we ordered light cheese, we were told it is because they put the cheese on top... ok. We were glad we ordered light cheese as it was still a little heavy. We had a meat pizza and added banana peppers. The crust is thin but not crispy. Not sure why it was not crispy as it was brown on the bottom. The pizza was just ok, kids will love it. I am convinced the local people of have never tasted an outstanding pizza. When we ordered, 6 young people were standing around talking (social circle) apparently waiting to be told to do something. The outdoor eating area could have used a clean up, just a thought. Great Service. It was a very busy night with a long line but not a bad wait. The choice of Ice creams was extensive and had some great choices. Prices were not to bad for area $17 for 4 people. The covered out door seating was awesome and saved our night since it stared to drizzle. read more

I was here about 20 years ago. What I remember was they served ranch dressing with their pizzas. I googled and this was the place. We ordered Island Pizza and she left peppers and onions off my side. My parents and I really enjoyed the pizza. There is now a huge condo across the street. Progress I guess. read more

Great pizza! We had "The Kitchen Sink"! The three of us could barely eat half of this thick crust offering. At $25, this screams value for families on vacation. It took us about 30 minutes to get our pizza which may seem long to those in a hurry. read more

We rode our bikes here from the fort, it was our half way reward. We tried the cotton candy, kids loved it tot style! Caramel swirl, boy said it's the only flavor he will order going forward. Chocolate, always a staple. Vanilla, hard to go wrong. Butter pecan, or something like that, the old men loved it & ate it all up. Nana got a cherry sno cone. Took her back to her childhood. There was a decent line, but not much of a wait. Moves fast. They take your order at the register & the scoopers are there making them fast. I think they had 3-4 scoopers. I don't know how you can mess up a snow cone but they managed. I didn't think the place was very clean and the locals didn't encourage us to eat the pizza. It took the girl at the counter took forever to make the snow cone and I was the only person in the place how slow the service was didn't help read more

I'm super upset that we waited 40 minutes for them to open... instead of going home.. we walk in at 11 AM when they open. They said it'll be a 1 hour wait!? For what? If you open at 11, you should be ready to survive. We left and went to pirate pizza it was SO good! We got the Hawaii pizza! we will definitely be going back! We got a nice fresh hot pizza in 12 mins! They gave us extra sauce and banana peppers too so good! read more

Staff was very confused on items that were available or not. They told us originally that we could half/half pizza... but everything we tried to order they told us it wasn't doable. Sprung a 16 pizza order on them... Bless their hearts! The pizzas were amazing! We ate here last year and couldn't wait to eat here again! The kids (I say that cause I'm old :)) working there were awesome! There was a slight problem with the very last pizza, and they came out and let me know what was going on instead of just leaving me to wonder. Great customer service! Anyway, the pizza was delicious and the service was even better! They have ice cream and sno cones, too. If you're on the Island and are craving pizza, definitely get it from here! Pretty good pizza at excellent price. Ordered a 15" half pepperoni and half pepperoni, mushrooms and bell peppers. Fed two kids (age 7 and 3) and two adults for lunch. After going to the Audobon and exploring the west side of the island my husband and I decided we wanted to get sno cones. The restaurant was wheelchair friendly and we were able to get in and my husband decided to get a tri flavor sno cone pineapple, banana coconut with a cream topping. I had the blue bubblegum and blue cotton candy double flavor. They were delicious. You ordered inside and ate at the tables outside. They offered free wifi and had fans to help keep you cool. So this is for their gluten-free pizzas. I tried both a chicken bacon ranch and a Hawaiian, and both were pretty good - not the best GF pizza I ever had, but still delicious. The chicken bacon ranch is definitely interesting. Instead of using traditional marinara, they used a white sauce that was perfect for it. The only thing the Hawaiian needed to be perfect was some hot sauce. If you have a gluten allergy and aren't here to eat seafood, this is the place you'll frequent for dinner. read more

If you like rude high schoolers and a place that offers mediocre ice cream this is the place for you. It closed at 7 but at 615 they refused to make us shakes or snow cones so our only option was ice cream. Most flavors were out. I almost laughed when the girl expected a tip. Hard pass read more

We've been to Dauphin Island many times, but this was our first time for pizza at Island Rainbow. The covered deck is great, however, that's about the end of the good stuff. On a Wednesday night during a pandemic, you wouldn't expect things to be slow, right? Even so, any place should at least be able to nail the predicted times. If you say it will be 30 minutes, have it ready in 30 minutes! I don't even mind if it's going to be an hour wait, as long as the pizza is ready when it's expected. The price was appropriate, so that is cool. We ordered some cheesy bread which was pretty good. The sausage and pepperoni pizza was basic, but fine. No complaints there. Trying to be fancy, we ordered a chicken, bacon, ranch type thing. The chicken was dry and flavorless, I'm not really sure what went wrong. It was probably the worst pizza that I've ever had. When you're at the beach you're not expecting the best pizza ever, but you'd better not go into this place expecting too much. read more

"No." So, the people who run this restaurant are fine deceiving customers and do not care to offer solutions to issues like "The menu says one thing, but you're telling me a different thing." I don't think these sorts of places deserve to exist. If you can't deal honestly with customers, you shouldn't deal at all. Do not give them your business.

Tonight we ordered pizza ahead (read through the end). When we arrived to pick it up, I just needed to pay to grab our pies. Sadly, when I asked where I can pay for my pizzas, one employee pointed me to the back of the ordering/ice cream/ sno-cone line. My hot pizza was a minute from being ready, but I was going to have to wait through 8 orders... UNTIL SHARON ANN! The incredibly kind and attentive Sharon Ann heard about our plight from my wife (who waited at the pick up spot while I stood in line) and told me to come straight to her. She took my credit card inside, finalized my bill, and came back with my pizzas and card. If it wasn't for Sharon Ann, this would have been a smaller starred review. Certainly, the pizzas were awesome and met our hopes for an excellent dinner beautifully. But she put it over the top and I fully recommend others check them out. (Last time, I had the Island Rainbow...also 5 stars) That's all. Enjoy. read more

My family and I are staying on the island for a week. The first two evenings we tried to order food from this place during their business hours and no one would answer the phone. We drove down to this place and tried to get waited on and were refused service. With service like this I figure this place will be folded up and gone the next time I come to the island..... read more

The pizza was the best I've had in a long time from a take out place. Enjoyed getting ice cream cones while the wife and I were on bike rides. And the folks that work there made you feel you had wandered back home for a meal at mom's house. read more
