We arrived early Friday night just in case they were busy. The parking lot was full when we arrived, mostly because they only have 5 parking spaces and 1 handicap space. We ordered inside and based on the pictures we saw on line we ordered light cheese, we were told it is because they put the cheese on top... ok. We were glad we ordered light cheese as it was still a little heavy. We had a meat pizza and added banana peppers. The crust is thin but not crispy. Not sure why it was not crispy as it was brown on the bottom. The pizza was just ok, kids will love it. I am convinced the local people of have never tasted an outstanding pizza. When we ordered, 6 young people were standing around talking (social circle) apparently waiting to be told to do something. The outdoor eating area could have used a clean up, just a thought. I am afraid this is a one and done for use. There was no glimmer of anything that would cause us to come back with another pizza place next door. read more

I was here about 20 years ago. What I remember was they served ranch dressing with their pizzas. I googled and this was the place. We ordered Island Pizza and she left peppers and onions off my side. My parents and I really enjoyed the pizza. There is now a huge condo across the street. Progress I guess. read more

Great pizza! We had "The Kitchen Sink"! The three of us could barely eat half of this thick crust offering. At $25, this screams value for families on vacation. It took us about 30 minutes to get our pizza which may seem long to those in a hurry. read more

We rode our bikes here from the fort, it was our half way reward. We tried the cotton candy, kids loved it tot style! Caramel swirl, boy said it's the only flavor he will order going forward. Chocolate, always a staple. Vanilla, hard to go wrong. Butter pecan, or something like that, the old men loved it & ate it all up. Nana got a cherry sno cone. Took her back to her childhood. There was a decent line, but not much of a wait. Moves fast. They take your order at the register & the scoopers are there making them fast. I think they had 3-4 scoopers. After going to the Audobon and exploring the west side of the island my husband and I decided we wanted to get sno cones. The restaurant was wheelchair friendly and we were able to get in and my husband decided to get a tri flavor sno cone pineapple, banana coconut with a cream topping. I had the blue bubblegum and blue cotton candy double flavor. They were delicious. You ordered inside and ate at the tables outside. They offered free wifi and had fans to help keep you cool. So this is for their gluten-free pizzas. I tried both a chicken bacon ranch and a Hawaiian, and both were pretty good - not the best GF pizza I ever had, but still delicious. The chicken bacon ranch is definitely interesting. Instead of using traditional marinara, they used a white sauce that was perfect for it. The only thing the Hawaiian needed to be perfect was some hot sauce. If you have a gluten allergy and aren't here to eat seafood, this is the place you'll frequent for dinner. read more

We've been to Dauphin Island many times, but this was our first time for pizza at Island Rainbow. The covered deck is great, however, that's about the end of the good stuff. On a Wednesday night during a pandemic, you wouldn't expect things to be slow, right? Even so, any place should at least be able to nail the predicted times. If you say it will be 30 minutes, have it ready in 30 minutes! I don't even mind if it's going to be an hour wait, as long as the pizza is ready when it's expected. The price was appropriate, so that is cool. We ordered some cheesy bread which was pretty good. The sausage and pepperoni pizza was basic, but fine. No complaints there. Trying to be fancy, we ordered a chicken, bacon, ranch type thing. The chicken was dry and flavorless, I'm not really sure what went wrong. It was probably the worst pizza that I've ever had. When you're at the beach you're not expecting the best pizza ever, but you'd better not go into this place expecting too much. read more
