I looked them up because we are finally putting in a bigger flat screen and I wanted it done professionally. Luckily I found the contact of the guy who lead the original install in our home, Jeff Kill. He was an employee at Room Service for many years when I met him, and he left Room Service some years ago now has his own company called Ambient Automation. The install guys on his team are also from Room Service. This week (Dec 18, 23) Jeff's new company installed our new 77" Sony, put new HDMI cables through our walls (to support 4K video) and were done in less than 2 hours, and it all worked with our existing universal remote (also provided by Jeff at the original install, and it still works great!) So the 5 star review is for Jeff's new team in case other former customers of Room Service find this review.

Every time we call Mike he bumbles around like an idiot and says "oh yeah it's never easy when you use this system" Are you kidding me? They are old and SPECIFICALLY ASKED for an east set up. I have to reboot the WHOLE set up 2-5 times a day in order for a black screen to not appear. When we told them about this, this was their response "well we can't order a new one cause it'll take way to long." And "this shouldn't be happening, but there's nothing we can do to fix it. If it gets a red light on the tv then we can." Recently some "control 4" stuff wasn't working. My dad contacted Mike and left a message. Still waiting to hear back after about 5 days. That's some real Sus ass crook shit to do. So we bought 10-15 thousand dollar system, and they fucked up, it rarely works, and they say they can't do anything about it. They were rude, lazy and you had to go through a 30-minute conversation with someone before you can even schedule. Needless to say, we dumped them. Then I blew out my computer. I waited and waited to find someone to help me with my computer. I was so scared I was going to have to deal with another horrible experience. Then, I found Eastwind Computers and I just love the store. It has everything for computers; especially, build your own. The gentlemen we dealt with were very nice and friendly. In my opinion you have two choices in this industry - big company like Comcast, or a local company like OmniGuard. I picked and am staying with OmniGuard for three reasons: 1. The primary alarm monitoring system, through Alarm.com is bulletproof. We've had some alarms go off when we weren't in town. The police showed up. If there is urgent issues, they are on the phone with you immediately. 2. The service side - OmniGuard is local and will fix your issues. They are small, and sometimes they can drop the ball, but they always make it right. When you call they are respectful and helpful. 3. Price points remain stable - they don't jack you around after a year. The value remains.

I called to inquire the rates at The Macintosh Guys yesterday afternoon and here I am with a very snappy iMac less than 24hrs later! I dropped it off at 10 and it was ready before noon! I also had them clone the contents of my old hard drive and it turned on, booted up in 1/10th the time it usually does, and everything is like I left it! Worth it to not have the headache of transferring myself. Really glad I opted to have them do it. And whoa is this thing snappy now!
