We got some cookies to put out for guests and just for fun we grabbed some Dubai-style chocolate. We were expecting average stuff. We got Wow! The cookies were thick and crunchy with a good layer of hard icing and cute shapes and decorations. A friend recently had cookies custom-made in Baltimore for a baby shower, and these Christmas House cookies at Marshall's were just as good! The Dubai-style 33%-cocoa milk chocolate bar was stuffed with a think layer of 11% finely-chopped pistachios and crumbled kadayif filo! Very nice flavor and texture, as good as I've had anywhere! A fancier brand might have some tahini in there, but I didnt miss it. And the box shows the usual green-coloring for the filling, while this filling is chocolate-color, which is ok with me. I thought the location was really sketch and it had gone downhill since I've been here but the people in here are so nice/heartwarming and have hearts of gold. I had too much stuff and my young kid wouldnt go down the escalator without me so this lady who happen to be nearby matter of factly took his hand and rode him down the escalator and wouldnt accept a word of thanks. I read that they are going to develop this thing into a community center hub. GOOD. This neighborhood deserves it.

I even felt like I could "mall walk" for exercise here because it's the perfect length from one end to the other for "mall walking". I'm not going to lie though, I thought this mall was going to be gheeeettto because of everything I've heard and because it's in Baltimore; while the people, for the most part are nice, the city is a big ghetto. My apologies if I offended anyone but it's true. They have nice parts but the urban areas which is most of the city are depressing to look at. Nothing says welcome like an immediate greeting! They have fantastic new spring items out on the floor, as well as an excellent clearance item section that had an additional 25% off. I was initially greeted by both young ladies working the floor at the time, but one of them stuck with me my entire visit. She (Gabby) wasn't overbearing and came to check on me at the right time, each and every time. Entered behind an employee, likely on break, who immediately engaged one of her co-workers in conversation. Even if they were both on break, there was a third employee at the register and noone acknowledged/greeted me or my husband. Now, I am on the larger end of their sizes and will often order online through the register with an employee's assistance. Maybe they decided to ignore me because they thought they shouldn't bother with someone of my size? However, I was WEARING one of the long sleeve shirts sold by WHBM from the last season!! Will stick to the location at Towson, MD, and will remember to praise them as I should.
