Securetronics technicians come out unprepared and sometimes unwilling to do the jobs you scheduled them to do. They make excuses like blaming the security monitoring company. That excuse doesn't fly when you talk to their office repeatedly discussing the work that is going to be scheduled. How do you show up to the job and not know what you're supposed to do? I can't count how many times they've come out and left with my system not fully operational. This company is a sham. They are happy to take your money but the equipment delivered may as well have been made by Fischer Price. Wait, that's an insult to toys because toys probably actually work. If it was their goal to not allow me sleep they succeeded wildly. Their control box malfunctioned in the middle of the night several times a week usually around 3 AM and I would get a call. I drove there most every time to make sure it wasn't an actual intruder because if I send the police I get charged for a false alarm. It was an equipment malfunction every time. Every single time. It got to the point where I would tell the alarm company who called to ignore it without even leaving to check it out and I'd try to go back to sleep hoping it was another malfunction. Thankfully it always was That's not the worst of it. Their motion sensors were stuck on with a tiny bit of tape ("professional" installation ha!). We had a sensor literally fall from the front roll up door into a customers plate of food. A nasty little dirty sticky white plastic sensor right smack on her plate After getting ZERO help from Securetronics with the constantly malfunctioning equipment we moved on to ADT. Who installed an actual working professional system. The ADT installers could not believe the poor equipment and shoddy install Securetronics refused to let us out of the monthly contract. Or even offer a discount for a buyout. They threatened to sue us if we didn't keep paying for their service that we don't use So we are stuck paying another two years for a terrible product that brings no value to us, caused countless hours of lost sleep and a dusty sticky malfunctioning toy of an alarm system that rots on a shelf Do yourself a giant favor and don't even consider signing with these charlatans. read more

I have a business in Eugene, OR. I signed up with Securetronics nine months ago, and it was one of the worst decisions I ever made. The service at Securetronics is the worst I have had to deal with in any aspect of my business, ever. Not one person I have dealt with has followed through on anything. We called 10+ times just to get our window stickers after our installation - and it was close to six months before they arrived. After the first couple of months, the payments I was sending monthly, though cashed, were not credited to my account. I called to ask why, and was told the accounting department would have to get back to me on that. Three months later, they still haven't figured it out. The yard signs I was promised at installation and requested over and over - the ones that were "in the mail" every time, still have not arrived. I asked to please be released from my contract, as I felt they had not offered me the least bit of security that my account was being taken care of, and they refused. The owner Ron Cota subcontracts the majority of work out to unlicensed, uninsured and unqualified technicians. The state of Oregon requires an LEA licence to install, service, or alter protective signaling (security equipment.) In addition the state of Oregon also requires a CCB licence, a CLE licence, insurance, and bonding. This means the independent installers: Mark Ankarberg, cory mcmahan, and Jeff Baker, and others, are unqualified. I highly recommend to ask for a licence and insurance before allowing an installer into your home, especially if they are not even employees. read more

The following is in response to Mrs. Dana L. complaint and I would hope that anyone who may read it please take a moment to hear the other side since as we all know there two sides to every story. We initially called Mrs. Dana L. letting her know she had an overdue bill, she at that time told us that according to her records she was paid. At that time we asked if she could check with the bank to see if the checks had cash. After many requests from our office she finally got the check info back to us. We found that the customer had been paying with a check under a different name and city than the business we have been monitoring. So at that time we issued credit to her account and then ask her to make sure our findings were correct and to her satisfaction and this still left a balanced owed. She continued to say she was too busy and would get to it when she had time. After 2 weeks and no call back we followed up with her. That is when she wanted to cancel without repercussions from the contract she signed. When she was informed she would still be responsible for the remainder of the agreement - she posted the response on YELP, called our office back and said she would take it down only if we let her out of her contract. Bottom line all we want to do verify we credit her account correctly and make sure the balance owed is right and if a customer is going to pay with a check that can in no way be tied back to the billed customer then there's not much we can do but ask for clarity. Worst customer service ever! Do not work with this company EVER. We were scheduled to have our alarm installed at our new house. When this technician, PAUL, showed up he said he was unaware of additional cameras that had to be installed. Regardless whether or not there were additional cameras, Paul should have done his job and installed the functioning cameras. He walked away from a job and then later told Monitronics that he completed the install. Then he later changed his story and said he completed the sensors and everything but the cameras. He seemed lazy and didn't want to put in the extra work. Actually, he seemed a little high. He isn't competent or knowledgeable of anything in this field. I hope Monitronics never works with this company again. They are absolutely the worst human beings. read more

I had service scheduled for May 30th, the tech was a no- show, when i called they reschedule for june 6th, once again the tech was a no show. called them on monday the 8Th, could not get anywhere with them to have someone come out, leave on vacation on the 12th and have no working alarm..
