I'm sure the doctor is great, however you have to get past the wicked witch at the front desk…read morebefore you can see the doctor. I hope you have better luck than me. The old lady answering the phone has a few screws loose, and that's putting it mildly. Read these other google reviews and you'll see what I mean. My Insurance does not require a referral. I called, and the rude old receptionist claimed they were not taking any new patients. So, I scheduled an appointment with my primary doctor, and guess where he is referring me...LOL. I said to my PCP but I thought they weren't taking anymore patients, he said "not that I'm aware of, I just referred someone there". Haha I think doctor O'Connor needs a new person answering his phones because this old bag clearly has dementia. Fast forward two weeks: I called to see if they have received my referral and to schedule my appointment. Guess who answered the phone, if you guessed the same lady as before you would be correct! Now, she is claiming "they do not take my Insurance". I let the old bag know that this provider comes up on my Insurance portal list, I know those lists can be outdated, so I called my Insurance and they are showing this provider as being active. She made it sound like they only take Medicare (which I'm sure is NOT true). Then she proceeded to tell me "with that Insurance you will be probably have to go down to the Valley". She named some Neurologist that does not even exist in the Prescott area ( I think this old bag needs to retire because her dementia is terrible!). The old bag at the front desk will become combative and rude, even cut you off if she doesn't like what you have to say. I am amazed that nobody has complained about this lady. She makes things up as she goes, and is preventing people from seeing the doctor. Just a nasty human!

Doctor O'Connor is the consummate neurologist for EMGs. As a practicing orthopedist, I receive a…read moregreat deal of feedback from my patients. He is kind, explains everything and is gentle. I would highly recommend him!

HACKER!! DANGER!! HACKER!! SO CALLED DOCTOR/SURGEON…read moreSAM SAFAVI. I won't say surgeon!!! 2 horribly botched surgeries by this hacker!! Please just look at the photos! The first surgery left me with a horrible scar but also I was 9 days in the hospital because he did something they'd never seen which was my neck & shoulder muscles spazing more than normal and harder than they'd ever felt before! He kicked me out after 9 days because he had a vacation to go on! 3 days after I went home I was back in the hospital because my muscles were so tight that they were literally purple! Not exaggerating they were purple! This hacker did not leave anybody to cover for him or help me! The emergency room did help and sent me home and in three days I was back in the hospital with a major infection! He the laminectomy too deep on my neck and left the C1 known as the Atlas which now was like a huge horn that actually after a shower would gather a half a thimble full of water! Because it was right on the line of the suture , it ripped open and caused the 1st major infection! I fired this hacker! I was still in the hospital and on drugs recovering and this idiot came in with another doctor pleading that he could fix everything the horn, the muscle problems and of course the infection ! This other idiot was a plastic surgeon that is going to help by putting what they called a relief incision to relieve the tension on the sutures ! Not thinking clearly I let this idiot in again! This is where he cut the horn off said that he cut some muscle and flapped it over and this will relieve pressure pain and the tightness of the muscles! There is also now a 6-in scar on my right shoulder that was supposed to relieve pressure . But instead he sutured it up and it was literally standing nearly an inch high off my back ! I could feel that there was even more stress on the suture than before! They said it would be fine and sent me home! Two days later I was back in the hospital with even a worse infection than the first! This relief suture that they put on was so tight that it ripped open the first suture again and caused a worse infection under the fascia muscle! Yeah I fired him again! This time for good and another doctor came in and said I'm sorry Michael all I can do is put this back together ! I've never had headaches like this I've never had tension like this I've never had pain like this and certainly with the small problem I went in there was no pain there was no issues a little tingling in my fingers which I understood needed to be addressed! Please be cautious of who you hire to work on your body! Check these PRACTICING doctors/surgeons out first really well! Referrals, reviews, everything you can get! I can only hope this will never happen to anybody else ! I WANT TO POST A PICTURE! NO WAY TO DO IT?? Good luck!

I recently had a posterior lumbar fusion with Brad Nichol from this firm. Unsure about his skill…read moreas a surgeon, as I am only weeks out, and believe me at this point I am praying and I am NOT a religious person. However, if you are concerned about after care, this is NOT the surgeon for you. Not allowed to take aspirin or Ibuprofen after surgery and released after 24 hour hospital stay with a foot long incision on my back, per his mandate, I had to rely on the prescription pain meds HE ordered. After receiving morphine in the hospital post op EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR, I was dc'd with a script for 5 mg of Hydrocodone, #30 which wouldn't kill a hamster headache. Requests for refills went unanswered for DAYS, the last time I needed a refill took 3 phone calls, a couple of messages on his patient portal and ultimately 5 days. 2 weeks post op he did staple removal. He pulled several staples out of this very raw incision with no numbing whatsoever. It was horrendous. My dentist numbs my gums with a Q tip full of Lidocaine before administering a shot. WORST AFTERCARE ANYWHERE. This man has no compassion for his patients whatsoever. His office staffs' answer to any question is that they will refer your request to the doctor. In their defense, they absolutely do not give you a time frame, EVER. His only comment to me at the 2 week check up was that I was crying in recovery. Apparently this was noteworthy to him, although I am still at a loss to understand the relevancy of this, other than to make me feel less than. Do your homework and read the reviews before choosing this firm. NONE are positive.
