My family and I stop here on our way in or out from Las Vegas for a little break and treat. We were so happy to see that Megan was still working here! She helped us out before and she does so much to ensure my youngest will be safe, since my youngest has severe egg and nut allergies. She recommended some of the fruit flavored soft chew candies, called medallions. They're like gummy candies. I was concerned that they had food coloring the moment I saw the bright colors, but much to my surprise they're all colored naturally, like with elderberry juice, grape juice, turmeric, and annatto extract. Megan was so kind to get some samples of those strawberry and fruit medallions for my youngest to try, and extra for my two older kids to try also. She made it a point to wash her hands and wear gloves and put the medallions on fresh pieces of wax paper to make sure there was no cross contamination at all from the other chocolates to the medallions. She goes above and beyond when it comes to allergy concerns!!! We ended up buying a bag of strawberry medallions and two bags of fruit medallions along with some chocolate for myself and an orange creamsicle pop, which I noticed on the ingredients would be safe for my daughter as well. Megan was also so patient and informative of what's in the chocolates and gave really great recommendations, too. She was so nice to let my two older kids try some samples and even recommended a chocolate I thought I wouldn't like that much, and I ended up really loving it! She knows everything about everything in that store! The store also has premade gift sets that are put together and set up really nicely, along with a huge tower of greeting cards, birthday cards, anniversary cards...really any type of card for any occasion! Everyone that was there was so nice and understanding of how kids can be... My two older kids thought it was fun to spin the tower of cards around when I was focusing on my youngest when she was getting curious with the treats that were displayed, and I quickly stopped my two older kids as soon as I noticed, but not once did any of the employees ever make me feel like we were being a nuisance with the kids. I feel like this is one of the best See's stores I have ever visited in my whole life, and I grew up going into handfuls of them because my mom is a fan of them. This store is clean, the displays are beautifully set up, the staff that I met there that day were really kind, and Megan is absolutely amazing, knowledgable, considerate, thoughtful-just overall the absolute best!!! I visited today 10/14 at 11am. No one else in the store, so I felt like the experience would be great. Candice was great and very helpful. I bought two pieces of the cafe latte and three pieces of milk butterchew. You could imagine my surprise having a late night treat later today and biting into a milk caramel (unsure of its actual name.) I wanted to give benefit of doubt that the other two pieces might've been the butterchews I wanted. Sure enough, after cracking the other two open, they were also caramel. I have a complaint about the male employee here. He's very condescending when it comes to asking questions. I asked him a question and he answered it with such sass and he ran to the back with his manager older lady, her name was Megan, she kept laughing by when ringing us out and I saw her name tag but I couldn't get the males. My whole interaction here was horrible! The employee Carson was a complete jerk! From how he speaks to the young lady working with him to how he started talking to some of the customers. Came in today to look for candy and the staff (young lady with glasses that works Monday day shift) came out behind the counter and immediately greeted my bf and I and gave us samples to try. Upon hearing I was looking for sugar-free options, she said she can give me sugar-free candy to sample. I said I am good I am just doing sugar-free to be eat "less sugar" on a daily basis but have no dietary issues and she just laughed. Store was nice and clean and she even gave us their new limited time vanilla chocolate chip candies to try. Nice and creamy in the center with a milk chocolate exterior. I opted for my usual rum nougat (super delicious because of a cherry in the middle) and was quite satisified. I also found sugar free dark chocolate brittle bars that are quite tasty. I live in Riverside, but I visit this location when I am visiting friends that live in Eastvale. I have been here only a handful of times, but this team is always so friendly and energetic. See's Candies have always been my favorite chocolate for 40+ years. Can't go wrong with them. Happy to see Mary See's chocolate legacy continues! I've been to this See's Candies location a few times now. Milk Almond Bud, Dark Scotchmallow, Milk Molasses Chip, and Butterscotch Lollypops were my favs during my childhood years. Nowadays my sweet tooth has lightened up a bit. So my current go-to are Milk AImond Bud, Milk Pecan Bud, Milk Almond Square, Milk Butterchew, and Bridge Mix. Their chocolates are always of excellent quality. They still offer to give one free chocolate sample to each customer which is nice and I thank and appreciate them for it... however, it's always the not so great chocolate IMHO... probably trying to get rid of the chocolates that don't sell well.... it's a sign to let them go LOL! Store is very clean and organized... the iconic checker-board look never gets old. Staff members are friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Prices have gone up quite a bit... I remember them between $10 to $15 per lb back in the days. Today's prices for pre-boxed is $24.50 per box, pick your own is $26.50 per lb. Blame the higher prices on inflation LOL. Note: Weekend hours are different... Saturdays close at 8:00 PM and Sundays close at 6:00 PM. Parking is plenty as they are located in a big shopping center. I go to sees probably once a week to either get a couple suckers for the kids or chocolate for our sees obsessed family ha! Went today for some Christmas gifts. Waited about 10 minutes to get in since they are social distancing and I appreciate that! They are very nice and helpful. The one lady doing the check out at the main counter was very nice and helped me a lot. She was really nice I should have remembered her name. She was very helpful to all the guests and was very happy the whole time. I think I heard her say a box of chocolate fell in the back and she went back. So When I went to check out they changed cashiers and the new lady was nice but short. I had my husband and kids in the car waiting and told them I would bring them a sample. I asked for samples and she said she put some in my bag. I bought around 100 dollars of product. When I got to the car i saw i had one sample. Haha my kids started crying needless to say I had to open one of the sees candy gifts and give everyone a piece. Advice ask for specific amount of samples. Hahaha read more
