See's Candy is one of those stores that will forever remain close to my heart. When I was smaller I thought these ladies were nurses due to their antiquated uniforms and nurturing personas. As I got older and even to this day, I look at them the same way because they really do care for their customers by providing them with excellent service and comforting treats. Even though I love this place, they can be an enemy of mine, everything is so damn good that I want to buy it all, they never let me just look, they know what they are doing by offering me free candy as I approach them, they trap me like they are a man in a van. They really messed me up when I came here last, they left a tray of sweets on the counter and told me, yes me, a former 300+ LB fat kid to help myself to whatever treats I would like. That was a mistake, by the time my wife had gotten out of line with her coffee lollipops and almond clusters, I had already devoured close to 8 tantalizing treats and got nervous, so I took the best course of action I could think of and blamed the kid next to me and cut out. Damn, I rambled on, oh well, just come here and buy one of every treat, yes it will get pricey, yes you will get fat, but it will be happy dose of diabetes and you can always walk off the calories in the mall or buy bigger pants at any shop, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you teacher gift for my daughters last day of school.

I'm a chocolate lover. See's Candies are as good as it gets! My favorite...nuts and chews...and anything with chocolate ;-) Great service. They not only offer you samples while you shop but they also give great suggestions. The sweet lady that was working asked me what the occasion was and offered to wrap my box of chocolates for me at no extra cost. The occasion...my daughters last day of first grade. She did a great job with the wrapping! :-) I was impressed.

His customer service is great. I love how he takes his time with his customers, and I don't feel rushed when it comes to asking him questions.. I tagged along with a friend who wanted to purchase Christmas cards to hand out. He ended up getting several bookmarks to give out as gifts too. They had a vast selection of different bookmarks, very well made and in see-through covers to protect. The sales clerk was most cheerful and helpful while assisting us around the store and at the register. She helped us find exactly what we were looking for. They are a little on the pricy side, however they are a non-profit organization, so it is going towards a good cause. I saw a beautiful nativity scene, made of wood that I would just love to own! It had the baby Jesus laying in the manger separately, which I truly appreciate. When I was a child, in our home we always had the baby Jesus inside the drawer near by the nativity scene, until Christmas day, when he was "born". I always got such a kick out of this! Most nativity scenes have the baby attached to the manger, so you cannot separate them. This one is special!

We came in to this store to find a gift for a good friend. This is your average stationary and…read moregifts store. They have lots of beautiful journals, notepads, calendars, gift wrapping, pens, and all of the things that you would expect from such a store. They also have some hand made soaps and lotions, and some very beautiful tea sets. The way that we were greeted was very odd, it actually felt like we were imposing, because of the urgency in the woman's voice. She had her purse on her shoulder, so I thought that maybe she was on her way out and we were infringing upon her scheduled break, but her purse remained on her shoulder the entire time we were there, so I guess it's just how she liked it, and so I dismissed her initial tone as something that had nothing to do with us...even though it felt oddly deliberate. My daughter and I began browsing and talking back and forth as we saw items that grabbed our interest. While we were doing this, the woman with her purse on her shoulder kept coming right up to us and loudly talking over us to tell us about this item or that item, and I politely thanked her each time, even though I couldn't understand what exactly she was saying about these items because my daughter was also mid sentence with me, each time. I continued to thank her and attempted to get eye contact, but she couldn't or wouldn't look me in the eye. She finally stopped bombarding us and allowed us to browse and we could finally hear each other. This entire exchange seemed to serve no useful purpose since she kept talking at us, and not to us, and she kept choosing to talk at us while we were talking to each other. Instead of feeling like an attempt to communicate, it felt like she was being disruptive and rude. In fact, I did not get the sense that she wanted to be helpful in any way. It felt like she was judging us as potential shop lifters and she wanted to make sure that we knew she had her eyes on us. Now the odd tone that I heard in her voice when she was 'greeting' us made sense. While my daughter was trying to decide between getting stationary or body lotions another patron entered the store. The woman with her purse was warm and very welcoming to him. It was a very stark contrast to the tone, words, and facial expressions that we were given. Also, there was a second elderly woman watching us like a hawk the entire time and she asked my daughter where the University that was represented on her T-shirt was located. She then asked her in a very condescending tone if she went to that University (she's a high school student, and looks young for her age) and my daughter, in her soft spoken way, let her know that I was the one who attended. This was a very awkward exchange, and again, it felt like we were being judged and looked down upon. We made our selection, observed the good prices, and then we left. My daughter looked at me and said that it was a very "weird" shopping experience. While we were able to find a gift and make a purchase, we felt very conflicted as we were shopping because of the contradictory vibes. If someone's facial expression is foul when they see you, then the seemingly welcoming words that come from their mouths fall flat. There was a condescending attitude and I felt as though we were grudgingly tolerated, but not actually welcome. We'll never step foot in that store again. The good thing is that they have nothing that can't be found elsewhere.

On November 5, 2025, I spent $538.93 on Christmas décor. I asked about the next day's Open House…read moresale and was told there was "no information." The next day, I learned everything was 20% off. When I asked for a price adjustment or exchange--well within the 14-day policy--I was refused. An employee took my items to the back, gave me a gift card and did not even put my name on it and told me, "We are not selling them to you." I was denied my discount, denied an exchange, and treated extremely poorly. Pamela who helped me had the worst attitude and said this was a private sale. How can it be private if there is a large banner on the building OPEN HOUSE!! They STOLED MY MONEY!! My credit card company was shocked and disgusted at Pamelas attitude. Maybe I don't look like someone who can afford it, I don't know, because I most definitely can but what I do know is that I've never once been greeted and today I was the only person in the store so it's not like they were busy. I had one lady look up at me, no hello, no what can I help you with...not even a smile. It's like this every time, I don't see how they stay in business.
