Siouxsie & Caylor and the rest of the ladies are all very helpful and super sweet. Evidently, if you work for LAUSD, there are "volume discounts" on certain items and gift cards! I never knew this! Talk about AMAZING service. I needed some stuff for my family and my partners family and I went in about 30 minutes before they closed. I never like going to an establishment 30 minutes before closing, especially because I didn't know what I wanted and was going to just rush in and buy something. BUT, thankfully 1) it wasn't packed and 2) an amazing worker named Nick was so patient, passionate, and knowledgeable about the choices. He knew every placement of chocolate, he knew every name, every ingredient, and even helped me find the exact chocolate I loved as a kid (I couldn't remember the name) just by asking specific detailed questions like "Was the inside more brown or tan?" etc. They gave us samples to try which also definitely upped the experience. If I could tell everyone to come to this location specifically, I would! And ask for Nick! He was truly so helpful to my partner and I and our families loved the chocolates too! I like this location best because of the service, the cleanliness and often I come here and am able to get in and out without having to stand in a line that is proceeding out the door. This location is very clean and when I popped in today they had their Easter candy at 50% off. Who who doesn't love a good deal? I had the Chelsea for my free sample and it was delicious. I placed my order online and when I got to the store, I was asked to go stand in line to get my order. The whole point of online ordering is to avoid standing in lines at the store. Very unhappy with this interaction. Normally all of my trips to the store have been five stars until now. Management needs to train employees on customer service for online orders. The email sent out by the company literally said we can skip the lines with online ordering, yet this employee demanded I stand in line. Unacceptable! read more

Butterscotch Squares, that's the only candy you need to try at least once in your life. I come here just to get a dozen of those, they're like brown sugar melts, covered in milk or dark chocolate. My second favorite is the toffee and the Carmel marshmallow candies. It's always feels so nostalgic coming here because I have so many wonderful childhood memories of visiting the sore and getting free samples. The black and white interior is classy and elegant. White, clean, nicely designed. I wouldn't change a thing. Chocolates are delicious (I'm sure that if you know SC you know what I am talking about). Shopped from about 15 minutes. None came to ask if I need assistance. Although sell people were at the cashier with no clients. That's ok. No big deal. I already knew where everything is. Do it let the location mislead you. The quality of See's Candies coupled with the friendly service I always receive will keep me coming back here. As mentioned in other reviews, the parking lot is small and therefore easily crowded, but by the time you get into the store you've forgotten about that. I have to also mention how clean and orderly the employees keep this store. I have never seen anything out of place. As far as prices go (with respect to today's purchase) I spent approximately $21 on a pound of assorted hand-picked chocolate and about $10 on 4 candy bars. I have had good chocolate at other places, but at the end of the day nothing compares to See's Candies. I would absolutely rate See's above similar competitors like Godiva. read more

Historically I have been more than happy with See's and considered them the best chocolates on the face of the earth. But something seems to have changed at See's and some products just aren't consistently good any more. Two recent negative experiences: Salted nuts (the big nuts in the tin) were stale and very nasty tasting/smelling; and the orange and chocolate wafers seemed stale too. The fondant wafers were grainy, oddly colored, and hard... but the chocolate was yummy. I'm just too lazy to return them for replacement even though I know the ladies at See's will make things right. I expect them to be right from the start... just like every See's product once was. I'm also a bit miffed about the discontinuance of the Victoria Toffee (the chunk in the box). I can't tell you how many times I've done minor amounts of verbal sparring with the See's ladies who claim that Toffee-ette are the same. No, they are not. The balance between toffee and chocolate is different... and Victoria toffee was the better product. Sorry See's... but I'm no longer saying "woohoo". My heart is broken. read more
