I was in my old neighborhood so I stopped by the See's Candy store hoping it was open and SO GLAD to see it was. As always, it was so nice and clean inside, but now there was hand sanitizer by the door, and staff was wearing masks. I have ordered See's chocolates during COVID-19, but it was nice to go in person. The sugar-free options are AMAZING, and I stocked up on a bunch for me and my dad (pre-diabetic). In addition to the delicious sugar free lollipops, I also go the sugar free dark chocolate covered almonds and walnuts, and got a new thing to try: the sugar free dark peanut brittle bar. When I was a wee lass I seriously wanted to be a See's Candies lady. I loved everything about them - the free samples, the immaculate white uniform, the fact that they probably could nibble on bits of chocolate all day. It's probably a good thing that I did not have a See's close to my house growing up, if I did it would be safe to say I would probably be typing this review with a stick from my mouth because I'd probably be so morbidly obese that I couldn't lift my hands. Yep. That's how much I love See's. I love the fact that it is great chocolate at a great price. Sure there are probably "better" chocolatier in Los Angeles those that use Saffron and Pure Baltic Sea Salt to flavor their candies - but I love See's for its simplicity, creaminess, friendly staff, and the fact that See's gives you a great quality product at an extremely reasonable price. That is another great thing about THIS particular See's location. This is one of those coorporate discount locations, meaning that (thank you Metro) I get special prices on the boxes of goodies. I stopped by here the other day and picked up 1 pound of assorted chocolates for the MIL for $13 and some change (normally that would retail closer to $20). With that price it is surprising that I didn't buy myself a second box to scarf down in my car as I drove around town..... come to think about it I am still rather dissapointed in myself. I did however pick up a few single chocolate pieces for myself, and I was offered a delicious buttercream sample. The highlight of my chocolate pieces was the seasonal pumpkin pie truffle - absolutely amazing and bursting with truffle flavor. I also had to help myself to two pieces of key lime pie truffle (amazing and creamy!) I wish they would have had Polar Bear Paws at the time (I love how you get 2 pieces) but alas they were fresh out. So in conclusion See's is one of the most amazing places on planet earth and you simply must visit. Nothing about your visit will ever be dissapointing, and that my friends is a promise! read more

I called this stores direct phone line & it says their hour are until 8:30pm. So, I rush over there & get there 10min before they're supposed to be closing. This is the discount outlet See's Candies. That means nothing in terms of the service and products. They still sell all the first quality products you find in the other locations but they offer you discounted pricing. They have some type of membership which allows you special pricing on their merchandise. I don't know the details to this "member's pricing club" but I know that they also accept my company ID badge and gave me discounted pricing. That being said, I was able to get close to 25% off my shopping from them. I'll be back every time I get a craving or need to get any See's gifts. read more

Well, no one ever offered me a sample =( Okay this place is a bit misleading regarding discounts. Only a small section of the store is discounted. If you want to buy the candies where they weigh it, it is regular retail price. Wasn't worth making a special trip for when I could have just gone to the Northridge Mall. It was packed too, but granted it was a Saturday. They have a security guard which I thought was strange considering nearly everyone there is middle aged-about to die. Parking is a pain in the ass. I just walked in a small side street and walked. Not worth a trip unless you plan on buying many boxes of discounted things. read more

Bought several boxes for home and gifts. Ones that I've opened are stale and dry. Nuts taste rancid. Sad too now especially since I gave them to friends for Christmas. I'm afraid to ask if they were stale too. Wondering if they were boxed and wrapped because they were old? I picked some individuals from the lady behind the counter and when I opened them they were hard and didn't taste very good. Too costly of a mistake. read more

Do not ask for the dark chocolate mint! I got yelled at by 4 employees because I pointed to what I wanted. The lady said she couldn't get it for me that the guy next to her had to get it. But then he said he couldn't get it for me so I asked the lady again if she could get it. She said no then I got yelled at by 2 other employees and all I was doing was standing there. It was okay when I asked for other candies at the counter but they all went crazy over the mint. The 1st lady then gave me what I asked for in the first place and everyone then stared at me like I did something wrong. These people are insane. read more

Helpful, efficient sales people I'm not debating the See's Candies versus other chocolates. I grew up with See's, so that is it for me. What I will say is this "Outlet" store is just like any other See"s, except if you work for the state of CA in any capacity (and perhaps for cities or municipalities?), There is a 20% discount on 1# or larger prepackaged boxes of candies. Worth it to drive a bit if you plan to purchase candy in that way. The sales professionals are always polite and helpful. I just don't get why butterscotch squares are rectangular. read more

While I agree that this place is kind of terrible to get to at certain times of certain days, I prefer coming to this one over going to the one at the Northridge mall any day. The staff at this particular location just isn't happy, cheery, smiley, or friendly. But hey to be honest I don't care because I'm there for the awesome candy. I am a regular at See's, this one is close to work, very large with a good selection, and there is never a line which on the Friday before mother's day was a major plus for me. The parking lot is small and oddly slanted but I've never had a problem parking and getting right in and out... I gave 4 stars for the quality of the candy, the full stock of the store, including specialty and seasonal items, and the short lines that move quickly. I took 1 star away because I'm truly a cheery person when I come to a retail place because I know how hard the job is, but I always get the cold hurry up and buy I don't want to be bothered shoulder when I come to this location. Of the 6 or so ladies working only 1 tries to force a smile and act like you aren't' ruining her day by purchasing candy. I mean come on people you work at the Disneyland of candy shops everyone should be happy around chocolate. read more
