Cherish the employees at this store. Their service is excellent and they are always pleasant. I love shopping here for that reason alone.

I recently moved back to the area and always have loved this market. It is smaller, very clean, tons of amazing products, baked goods, specialty items, fresh meals and more. I just love it and everyone has been there a long time and so friendly. BUT the prices are INSANE having just moved back they were higher when I left six years ago and NOW JUST NUTS. Again, do love the market, get the APP, get some savings, they do offer good coupons and discounts. Use them as I do. I do recommend this market and will continue to shop here even if I need to take out a mortgage to do so. read more

Yesterday I went in there and place a flower arrangement for a friend who turned 75. I picked up the flowers and the leaves ... and a smal card which is free and ask them to stick it in there. The green leaves that I paid for it separately Was dusty They didn't cut or trim the broken one they just shoved everything in the Vase.... Very disappointed. I have been shopping at this location for years and find it to be a great local community store. I recently had an issue with one of the checkers regarding my purchase and possibly a misunderstanding of a store policy that I was unaware of. I did not believe the cashier handled the situation properly. All of the cashiers that I have dealt with over the years have been fantastic. This was my first time dealing with this particular cashier and I truly felt she handled the situation extremely poorly. As a shopper regardless which store you shop it there is a strong possibility that you will run into an issue or problem either with the store or staff member. That is generally unavoidable. However, what truly sets a store a part in my opinion is how the managers deal with the issue and how satisfied ultimately you become as a customer . In other words as a matter of policy is customer satisfaction their number one priority. I can tell you that the current store director Joe Gilbert understands that. He is what I call an old school manager which in my book is the highest compliment that I can give him. He could have been dismissive like a lot of new school managers, but he was extremely understanding and took a great deal amount of time and effort to go out of his way to make it right for me. He truly went above and beyond. You really don't see that type of customer service anymore. These days most managers seem to have their hands tied down by corporate policy and or greed. That was not the case with Joe and I really appreciate not only his understanding but also winning me back as customer. I can only give my highest praise to Pavilions that at least they have a person in charge who truly cares about his customer's ultimate satisfaction. Thank you, Joe. read more

My friend leaves around the corner and she always tells me how much she loves the market there due to their costumer service. I have been going to the Pavilions pharmacy for at least 25 years. They are extremely efficient in notifying me when the prescription is ready for pick up. I also get all of my shots there. They talk to me when I have a new prescription to explain what I'm taking. Yes, I would've recommend this Pharmacy 100%. read more

I've been shopping at Pavilions on Lindero Cyn in Oak Park since I moved to this neighborhood about 13 years ago. I'm surprised by the reviews about rude or unfriendly employees because I've never experienced that even once. I do have just one complaint. Many times when needing assistance at the meat counter there is no employee in sight. Generally, it's because he is working in the back room which they need to do, but you can wait for a very long time before you're noticed. I've watched so many customers simply walk away because they couldn't get any service. A few years ago I discovered a buzzer that will get the attention of the butcher but you have to walk partially behind the meat counter to reach it. If you didn't already know it was there you would never see it. I've helped out many customers get the attention of the butcher by pressing this buzzer. read more

Zero stars. If you have an extra 20+ minutes in your day to wait in line. Shop at this store. I do understand that customer traffic ebbs and flows unevenly. However, the employees operating the cash registers do not acknowledge the long back up of customers and call for help 99%of the time . Most frustrating on the last visit was the employee stopping his duties to show other customers his phone and how hot it was at his house in the valley. I know you all can do better. read more

I went here on a Sunday PM and boy what a mistake that was. I tried to get a sandwich at the deli counter but the two staff behind the counter were not interested. One started making making my sandwiches (x2) and then ended up helping an off duty staff member with her chicken. While the other took over. He didn't even ask me what the sandwich was before a customer who was waiting at cakes, came over and asked why no one was there and he was to pick up a cake. So. My sandwich dude just left me to go over to the cakes department - and didn't even acknowledge me?! Meanwhile the other lady kept cutting chicken for the off duty staff member ....? I ended up waiting five mins for something to happen and decided to leave. Then while waiting for a register operator a nice lady let me cut in front of her. She gets the two stars because the register operator was 'so tired and didn't want to be there'. I probably won't shop here again. read more

I had to run to grab my boss some birthday flowers for his wife and none of the pre-made flowers looked right for her. Bill asked if I needed any help finding anything and then very sweetly offered to make me something if I wasn't seeing anything I liked. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and made it a great experience. He gave me his advice on what was best to do while also making sure it was something she would like. I love this store for its great selection and friendly service. There are actually people you can ask for help compared to the Costcos and other local large markets, where you are on your own if you can't find something. The selection is huge compared to other local markets as well. I highly recommend this store for the shopper who is tired of the treasure hunts that stores want to put you through. I went here yesterday to get one item and to redeem some Lottery Tickets. I went to the area to redeem the Lottery Tickets and waited for a good 5 minutes and not one person in sight. A few checkout lanes over are two checkers and two baggers, but no one else. I leave the area to get the one item I needed and headed over to the Express Checkout Lane. One of the Managers was checking people out in the Express Lane. I put my item down and then I ask how he is doing. His response was "Okay" and doesn't say anything else. As I was in line, I told him I waited 5 minutes to redeem the Lottery Tickets with no one available. He said he would do it after checking me out without apologizing. I then redeem the Lottery Tickets and was on my way. I often come here to not only shop, but to buy/redeem Lottery Tickets. The Manager had a plain attitude as well as plain service. You're better off going to the Donut Shop across the street or CVS to buy/redeem Lottery Tickets for now on. It seems that redeeming Lottery Tickets here are a hassle for the employees/managers. I am leaving a 3 star review because there are some employees here who do work hard in their section of the store along with the amount of variety they have in the store itself. But the long lines with only one/two checkers is a problem. read more

Pavilions looks like it's trying to be a step above a Vons (owned by the same company) but it's a very tiny step. Basically a Vons. Aisles were nice and wide, the shelves were well stocked and everything looked fresh and tasty. They didn't seem to have large cold bottled Aquafina water which I don't understand, but I didn't have to wait to get a deli sandwich made and I when I got in line they opened up another register and I checked out quickly. Deli counter seemed a little sad (I usually get cucumbers on my sandwich but theirs looked depressing so I didn't ask, though if I had I think the woman would have retrieved fresh ones for me since she offered to do that with the lettuce and I thought the lettuce looked fine). Parking lot is spacious, the store is clean and well lit. The employees I came in contact with me all smiled and were polite and not slow. I'd come here again if I'm in the area. read more

When I came to the US twenty years ago, Pavillons was THE supermarket to go to. Now, I try to avoid where I can. Today I was in the mall - and went to buy some sodas. Strolling through the market, I passed the fish - and found some amazing looking halibut - advertised at $14,99 per pound. A steal really. I ordered 1,5lbs - and got 1,3lbs - for $40,99. You do not have to be a math genius to see that I got ripped off. Sadly, the reviews here speak a clear language. There were only three check outs available, and cashiers were more busy chatting among themselves that serving customers. Sorry guys, not good enough. read more

I've been going here since my family moved to the area in 2005. It's the local grocery store, closer than Ralphs/Vons on the other side of Kanan, so regardless of the lines and the staff, I will continue to go here out of sheer convenience. But today... was truly *asshole day* at Pavilions. First off I went to the deli, which I never do. As in, I've never been to this deli before simply because I don't cook/eat a lot of meat, and I find it intimidating. Unfortunately I was helped by a man. I asked for one slice of ham because I just needed a slice I could chop up for a pasta recipe. He asks what kind of ham, I ask what kinds they have - he tells me to look at the case and waits literally five seconds for my response. Again: I have never been to a deli before, much less this deli. I'm scanning the case and all I'm seeing are chicken and turkey. I ask, "do you have honey?" He responds, "what kind do you want." I say, "do you have honey or black forrest ham?" He responds, "what kind do you want, ma'am." I say, "honey or black forrest ham?" because AGAIN, I'm still only seeing turkey and chicken in this display case and I just want to know what fucking ham they have because I'VE NEVER BOUGHT HAM. He responds, with aggression and annoyance, "what KIND do you want, ma'am." I respond, "honey" - assuming now that they must have it since he hasn't helped or corrected me. I know you must hate your job, but could you try not being a dick because not everyone is familiar with the multitudes of ham you have?? It's literally your job to help? You couldn't tell me what you had in stock or if you had honey and/or black forrest? I was then already in a bad mood because of course we went to the deli first for some reason, and the asshole day continues because a seafood employee is literally chatting with a female employee and a customer and blocking the entire middle of the store. As in, the female employee was off to one side, the male customer was on the opposite side with his cart, and the male employee was standing in the middle and refused to move to either side as I walked by. So my husband, who's behind me with a cart, waits for him to be finished with his conversation before passing him. And the cherry on top is getting checked out by an employee who I recognized as the man who used the restroom before me (I literally waited outside because all were occupied and watched him leave) and pissed all over the seat and just... left it there. I had to try not to barf that he was handling my groceries. read more

I happened to stop by this Pavilions store this weekend to pick up some drinks, and when I walked by the bakery, I couldn't help but notice how strikingly decorative the fresh cakes in the bakery were. Upon taking a closer look, it was evident that these new cakes append to a much higher standard than your typical run of the mill grocery store fare. These cakes happen to be mini-masterpieces in their own right, with vibrant colors and floral designs that bring out the best of the spring season. The artisan responsible happens to be Jamie, who is the bakery's splendid cake chef. No airbrushing or ordinary frosting flowers here, as she carefully crafts each work into a dazzling edible artform full of frosting induced flavor and fun. Love the floral department here and had an especially great experience with manager, Abby Zimmerman, who recently put together 10 beautiful table centerpieces for a 60th birthday party at a fraction of what florists would charge. With no more than a color scheme and a budget, she worked her magic and produced simple, yet elegant coordinated bouquets for the guest tables, cocktail tables and dining table. I would give zero stars if I could. I bought bacon from the deli section and when I got home I discovered that it was covered in MOLD. I took it back with the receipt and they told me that due to covid 19 reasons they are not issuing any refunds. I understand this concept, but they sold me MOLDY meat and would not give me my money back. No apology for the moldy product, nothing was done to make it right. I am very disappointed. I was in this store the other day ( I live close by - have been there MANY times a week) and I witnessed something shocking. A senior manager person was bullying and beating a young girl who was the bagger. It was quite horrible to witness in front of many customers and this manager person bought the girl to tears... and I could not figure out even why. I am sure there will be other people who will report this as well. There seems to be a horrible undercurrent on hostility amongst some of the senior staff at this pavilions. Some staff are friendly - but what I saw last week was enough that I will never go to this Pavilions ever again. I am happy to drive an extra 15 minutes to Ralph's where human decency still exists. I used their grocery delivery service, and it's the best one I've found during the covid-19 pandemic! Instacart last month was a disaster, so my grandmother who uses Pavilions recommended it. Make sure to request Pavilions delivery and not another service when you order (they give you the option). The delivery fee was cheap, you don't have to tip the delivery worker, and the order process and receipt was fairly seamless. (All delivery order services have some kind of hiccup, so I forgive them for replacing items I asked not to be replaced! Also, I got a refund for those, which helped.) If we can't go to the grocery store soon, I will use their service again!! read more

Extremely clean, always well stocked, and the staff that work there go out of their way to ensure satisfied customers. Plus I use this Pharmacy, and they are the best!!
