We snagged the last available booth, and it had crumbs on there. Not clean. SMH. I went to the bar to order some drinks for my boyfriend and me since he left his wallet in the car. It was raining that night, and we parked several blocks away. The service was okay. I remember the guy bartender said $29something, but then he charged me $30something. I got the Jalapeno Margarita while my boyfriend had the Tito's Mule. My drink was very sweet with a kick of jalapeno while his was pretty good. They had music playing. It seems that there is a modern jukebox where you can pay to pick a song. There was one pool table for people to play. So many people came up to pet Meatball and give him so much attention. He absolutely loved it! There was one guy who asked if he can say "Hi" to Meatball, and we said that it was okay like we normally do. This weirdo was basically making out with Meatball; not cool at all man. Then Meatball flipped on his back, and he was holding Meatball. My boyfriend told him to let go of Meatball. It was such an uncomfortable interaction. Not normal at all. He even said, "This is my NYE kiss!" SMDH. The guy sat down at a table that is across from us, and he kept looking at us. We quickly finished our drinks, and then we left to ring in the new year at our hotel lobby instead. We should have just hung out in our hotel lobby instead of going out; it was much better there.

Husband has Cioppino, I had the special, and my 2 granddaughters each had the clam chowder in a bowl. We had 2 appetizers . Tomato Bruschetta, and the focaccia bread. Both delicious! The cioppino bowl was huge. My husband only ate 1/2. So much seafood in it. My special was bass and shrimp. Served with pineapple salsa, guacamole, peppers, rice, green beans and tortillas. It was so good. Only complaint was the green beans. I believe they were Hericovert beans. Just a little too hard. I think that was the best clam chowder we've ever had in all the years of visiting Monterey. Every server, waiter & even host/manager gave us the best service! We could have sat for hours enjoying the view and talking to Pablo and the others. If you're going to Monterey, don't leave without eating there !

It's getting harder and harder to find a restaurant that has a decently priced happy hour that doesn't just have $10 truffle fries as their "happy hour." We ordered a bunch of the food items but the Wings were my favorite (4 wings with celery, carrots for $5), while the Eggplant Bites were my least favorite. I love eggplant but this was way too sweet and all the different flavors were quite weird.

She was very sweet, helpful and kind. Her attentiveness was appreciated as a she checked in with us often and consistently refilled our waters as need, which we love. She offered a delicious recommendation for my cocktail (Poblano Margarita) and allowed my husband to taste 2 different beers before deciding which one he wanted. My husband got the Argentine Steak and I got the Steak Frites, both were delicious! We had planned to go to Ghirardelli for dessert but Serena made our time here so enjoyable we stayed here for dessert. The NY Steak sandwich was good as well, with a side of steak fries - obviously! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely consider dining here in the future when in town.
